Speedy deletion nomination of Gender Vie Transgender Community
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Gender Vie Transgender Community requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. IShadowed (talk) 22:22, 25 July 2012 (UTC)
Removing Speedy at Gender Vie Transgender Community
[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for taking the time to create a page here. It might not have been your intention, but you recently removed a speedy deletion tag from a page you created yourself. Because Wikipedia policy does not allow the creator of the page to remove deletion tags, an automated program has replaced the deletion tag you removed from Gender Vie Transgender Community. Please do not continue to remove the deletion tag, instead, if you disagree with the deletion, you can follow these steps:
- Go to the page by clicking this link. Once there, select the button that says Click here to contest this speedy deletion.
- This will take you to the talk page, where you can make your case by explaining why the page does not meet Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion.
Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do. For further help about the deletion, you could contact the user who first placed the tag or a highly active user who is willing to help with deletion. This message was left by a bot, so please do not contact the bot about the deletion. Thank you, - SDPatrolBot (talk) 22:50, 25 July 2012 (UTC)
Wikipedia is not a noticeboard
[edit]There are many sites like Myspace and Facebook where you can write about your Community, but Wikipedia is different - a project to build an encyclopedia, which means that it is selective about subjects for articles. The criterion for inclusion is called WP:Notability and is not a matter of opinion but has to be demonstrated by showing "significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject." Significant means more than just listing-type mentions; reliable excludes Myspace, Facebook, blogs, places where anyone can post anything; independent excludes the subject's own website, affiliated ones and anything based on press releases. The test is, have people not connected with the subject thought it significant enough to write substantial comment about? See WP:42
As your community is so new, it is unlikely to have received enough independent comment to qualify. The notability requirement applies to all subjects, even worthy causes - see Wikipedia is not here to tell the world about your noble cause.
Also, as you are connected with the Community, in writing about it you have, from Wikipedia's point of view, a WP:Conflict of interest and should read that guideline and WP:Best practices for editors with conflicts of interest.
I am afraid that, because Wikipedia is keen for anyone to edit, it does not do enough to make clear at sign-up time that it is not a "notice-board" site for people to write about themselves and their own concerns. I have this conversation so often that I have written User:JohnCD/Not a noticeboard to explain the background.

[edit]Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia. While objective prose about beliefs, products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not intended to be a vehicle for soapboxing, advertising or promotion. Thank you. SmartSE (talk) 13:42, 3 March 2013 (UTC)
Re: Jean Lee
[edit]Hi Chrisentiae, Wikipedia is not a place for advocacy and links to personal websites should be avoided, especially where you have a conflict of interest (as described above). If you want to convince the world of Jean Lee's innocence, use the regular channels. Graham87 01:48, 9 May 2013 (UTC)

Rainbow Gurl
[edit]Hello, thanks for writing this article! I’ve just read it and I’m a bit concerned that it has no citations. That worries me since without proof that this topic is notable, meaning covered enough in media to get a Wikipedia article on it, the article may get deleted.
Are there any reliable sources on the topic that you can add? If so just edit the article and add citations using the cite tool, or if you have any thoughts or questions just let me know. Blythwood (talk) 05:23, 28 April 2016 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Rainbow Gurl
[edit]Hello Chrisentiae,
I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Rainbow Gurl for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Arthistorian1977 (talk) 05:45, 28 April 2016 (UTC)

[edit]Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to add soapboxing, promotional or advertising material to Wikipedia, you may be blocked from editing. All of your edits so far have been promoting yourself. You were warned about this 3 years ago and yet have carried on. Please stop. Thanks SmartSE (talk) 08:04, 28 April 2016 (UTC)
