This is not an advertising site. Spike 'em (talk) 14:14, 30 March 2017 (UTC)
- I am not trying to advertise anything. But for a page of the Lord's cricket ground, i feel like it is reasonable to talk about the following things i.e who owns it, who runs it, who partners with it, etc. — Preceding unsigned comment added by ChrisKemp (talk • contribs) 14:18, 30 March 2017 (UTC)
Do you work for Engage? If so you should state it. Many venues have commercial partners, but it adds nothing to the articles. Please see WP:NOTADVERTISING and WP:NOPR. If people want to find corporate hospitality they know how to search.Spike 'em (talk) 14:28, 30 March 2017 (UTC)
- Ok, so if I add useful content and reference the website for that fact, this would be allowed right? I do not want to advertise, I understand that and genuinely have no intention of it. However I would like to add back-links to the website, which I can do through the reference if need be. I work as an SEO.
It sounds like this violates WP:PAY:
If you receive or expect to receive compensation (money, goods or services) for your contributions to Wikipedia, you must declare that, and should put edits through peer review instead of editing articles directly:
- you must disclose who is paying you; on whose behalf the edits are made; and any other relevant affiliation;
- you should make the disclosure on your user page, on affected talk pages, and whenever you discuss the topic;
- you are very strongly discouraged from editing affected articles directly.
- you may propose changes on talk pages (see the
{{request edit}}
template) or on the COI noticeboard, so that they can be peer reviewed before being published;- you should put new articles through the articles for creation process instead of creating them directly, so they can be peer reviewed before being published;
- you should respect volunteers by keeping discussions concise (see PAYTALK).

I will not be receiving any compensation. But I will add it through peer review if that is the correct port of call, from now on. Thank you for informing me of this!
ChrisKemp, you are invited to the Teahouse!

Speedy deletion nomination of Engage Hospitality
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Engage Hospitality requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company, corporation or organization, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. - MrX 15:06, 18 April 2017 (UTC)
