HRSA logo
[edit]Hello, please stop trying to add your file to the Hindustan Socialist Republican Association page. If you did in fact get it from here, that image has no associated source and cannot be trusted to be real. If you are indeed a researcher and can attest that the logo was used historically, please show sources that prove this and I can try to help you figure out the file issue. Cheers and happy editing, :-) postleft ✍ (Arugula) ☞ say hello! 18:47, 24 November 2021 (UTC)

[edit]Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to add inappropriate images, as you did at Hindustan Socialist Republican Association, you may be blocked from editing. Images used only for vandalism may be added to the bad image list to prevent them from being displayed. Vif12vf/Tiberius (talk) 23:12, 6 December 2021 (UTC)

Nalini Bagchi moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, Nalini Bagchi, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Cut & paste moves
[edit]Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give a page a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into Nalini Bagchi. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.
In most cases for registered users, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. Liz Read! Speedy deletion nomination of Malwinder Jit Singh Waraich
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Malwinder Jit Singh Waraich requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://www.indiatoday.in/opinion/vikas-kahol/story/preserving-the-past-a-labour-of-love-for-him-137637-2011-07-16. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. DanCherek (talk) 06:05, 25 January 2022 (UTC)
The article Naba Jibon Ghosh has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Not enough in-depth coverage to show that they meet WP:GNG.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Onel5969 TT me 12:08, 13 February 2022 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, Chingaaribera. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or draft page you started, "Dinesh Chandra Majumdar".

Proper way to insert images in infoboxes
[edit]Hello @Chingaaribera. I am @Archer1234. I noticed your recent edit to Harsha where you added an image to the infobox. I want to let you know that the way you added the image was not done according to Wikipedia's Manual of Style (see WP:INFOBOXIMAGE).
- When adding an image to an infobox, thumbnails should NOT be used. Simply supplying the file name will work. For example, to use File:Image PlaceHolder.png, you can simply use
|image=Image PlaceHolder.png
. Captions should be specified with the|caption=
parameter. Every infobox is different and the documentation for the infobox in question should be consulted for the proper parameters to match the image and caption.
- To fix
Do not use the full image syntax:
|image=[[File:SomeImage.jpg|thumb|Some image caption]]
Instead, just supply the name of the image. So, in this case you can simply do:
|image=SomeImage.jpg
and optionally:
|caption=Some image caption
.
Hopefully you will find this information useful for your future editing. If you have any questions about this, feel free to ask. — Archer1234 (talk) 14:21, 6 January 2023 (UTC)
- Hello again @Chingaaribera. I see that your recent edit to Basanta Kumar Biswas also improperly inserted an image in the infobox. I tried to explain above the proper way to insert images into infoboxes, but perhaps my explanation was not clear enough. Do you have any confusion over how to do it properly? Thank you. — Archer1234 (u·t·c) 18:28, 8 January 2023 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for February 16
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Kamal Nath Tewari, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Lahore Conspiracy Case. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, --DPL bot (talk) 18:01, 16 February 2024 (UTC)

[edit]Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed that one or more recent edit(s) you made did not have an edit summary. You can use the edit summary field to explain your reasoning for an edit, or to provide a description of what the edit changes. Summaries save time for other editors and reduce the chances that your edit will be misunderstood. For some edits, an adequate summary may be quite brief.
The edit summary field looks like this:
Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)
Please provide an edit summary for every edit you make. With a Wikipedia account you can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary, and then click the "Save" button.
