Chinese dynasty articles
[edit]Hi, Bobby.Han22. I'm afraid I've reverted a number of your changes, for these reasons:
- The field
|status=Empire
in the infobox is used to place an article in the appropriate category, and so should not be turned into a link. (see the documentation for Template:Infobox former country for more.) - Sidebars like
{{History of China}}
and{{History of Mongolia}}
are for linking together groups of articles, and the links should be bidirectional. Thus{{History of China}}
includes links to Chinese dynasty articles, and each of them includes{{History of China}}
. Similarly{{History of Mongolia}}
should list periods in the history of Mongolia, like Mongolia under Qing rule, and that article (not Qing dynasty) should contain the{{History of Mongolia}}
sidebar. (see WP:SIDEBAR for more details.)
Sorry about this. I appreciate that the structure takes a while to get used to. Kanguole 12:53, 9 April 2017 (UTC)
- The infobox field
|government_type=Monarchy
is also used for placing articles in categories, and should not be changed to an arbitrary value. Possible values are listed in the documentation for Template:Infobox former country. Kanguole 16:12, 10 April 2017 (UTC)- I have fixed this again. Please read the documentation for the
|government_type=
field of{{Infobox former country}}

[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Xiang Yu, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Conqueror. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

[edit]Hello, I'm Emir of Wikipedia. I noticed that you made a change to an article, List of people with the most children, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. [edit]Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to List of emperors of the Qing dynasty, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use the sandbox for that. Thank you. [edit]Hello, I'm Emir of Wikipedia. I noticed that you recently removed content from List of people with the most children without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Speedy deletion nomination of Template:Mengdu Empire
[edit]A tag has been placed on Template:Mengdu Empire requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section T3 of the criteria for speedy deletion because it is an unused duplicate of another template, or a hard-coded instance of another template. After seven days, if it is still unused and the speedy deletion tag has not been removed, the template will be deleted.
If the template is not actually the same as the other template noted, please feel free to remove the speedy deletion tag and please consider putting a note on the template's page explaining how this one is different so as to avoid any future mistakes (<noinclude>{{substituted}}</noinclude>
).
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page's talk page, where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. – Train2104 (t • c) 12:57, 15 June 2017 (UTC)

About the alleged "cultural genocide" of Tibet
[edit]I may sound like someone who supports the Chinese government but really I am from a neutral standpoint. Where is all the evidence of the genocide towards Tibetans? There is little to no evidence of the Tibetan language disappearing and their traditional culture disappearing, Sinicization does not account for "genocide". Just because a Tibetan person learns Chinese does not mean he or she will abandon their culture and language and join the Communist Party. Many indigenous peoples living in the Americas learn Spanish or English, is that genocide then? They were colonised for so long that many of their cultures are at risk, and yet the Tibetans still have their unique identity and culture? ChineseMan26 (talk) 02:22, 18 August 2023 (UTC)

[edit]Please stop your disruptive editing.
- If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor, discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page, and seek consensus with them. Alternatively you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant noticeboards.
- If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.
If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at Korean imperial titles, you may be blocked from editing. Bamnamu (talk) 05:47, 7 October 2023 (UTC)
