Tom Skeyhill

[edit]

Thanks for your addition to West Dennis, Massachusetts. Do you have a citation that says Tom Skeyhill was from there? From the draft you are working on it appears he was only buried there. --BrianCUA (talk) 02:58, 23 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Just added my source. If you go to the bottom, you can see that he died in a plane crash at Barnstable Municipal Airport and he was buried in West Dennis because he had a summer home there. And I am trying to get 10 edits and waiting the rest of the 96 hours until I can make my draft into an article. Thanks for the tip! CaptainAhab1841 (talk) 03:12, 23 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Always glad to help. If you ever have any questions, feel free to drop me a line on my talk page. You should really check out Wikipedia:Five pillars before you get started. It will help a lot. Also, when citing sources, I am a big fan of list defined references. You don't have to use them, but I find it makes the editing experience a lot better, especially once you start running into articles with hundreds of citations. Good luck, Ishmael! --BrianCUA (talk) 02:51, 24 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Eugene J. Gibbs moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Eugene J. Gibbs, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. November 2019

Please stop adding unreferenced or poorly referenced biographical content, especially if controversial, to articles or any other Wikipedia page, as you did at Michael Bennet. Content of this nature could be regarded as defamatory and is in violation of Wikipedia policy. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you remove or blank page content or templates from Wikipedia, as you did at 2020 Democratic presidential primaries. WMSR (talk) 21:58, 1 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm JalenFolf. I noticed that you recently removed all content from Edmund Trowbridge Dana. Please do not do this. Blank pages are harmful to Wikipedia because they have a tendency to confuse readers. As a rule, if you discover a duplicate article, please redirect it to an appropriate existing page. If a page has been vandalised, please revert it to the last legitimate version. If you feel that the content of a page is inappropriate, please edit the page and replace it with appropriate content. If you believe there is no hope for the page, please see the deletion policy for how to proceed. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you wish to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Jalen Folf (talk) 04:11, 4 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Regarding your edits to Peter Faneuil, please use the preview button before you save your edit; this helps you find any errors you have made and prevents clogging up recent changes and the page history. Below the edit box is a Show preview button. Pressing this will show you what the article will look like without actually saving it.

The "show preview" button is right next to the "publish changes" button and below the edit summary field.

It is strongly recommended that you use this before saving. If you have any questions, contact the help desk for assistance. Please make sure images are sized properly. WMSR (talk) 05:11, 7 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article 2023 New Hampshire bombings has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Delete as per WP:NOTNEWS.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Nythar (💬-🍀) 22:59, 23 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion

[edit]

Hello, I noticed you blanked the majority of the article Origin theories of Christopher Columbus and nominated it for proposed deletion. Proposed deletion is for uncontroversial deletion of pages. The kind of deletion you most likely want is AFD. It puts the page at Articles for Deletion, where other editors can discuss whether they think the article should be deleted or not.
