I contest the nomination for speedy deletion

Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, Cappienetworks, and welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as Template:Patrick Oriyomi, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's content policies and may not be retained. In short, the topic of an article must be notable and have already been the subject of publication by reliable and independent sources.

Please review Your first article for an overview of the article creation process. The Article Wizard is available to help you create an article, where it will be reviewed and considered for publication. For information on how to request a new article that can be created by someone else, see Requested articles. If you are stuck, come to the Teahouse, where experienced Wikipedians can help you through the processes.

New to Wikipedia? Please consider taking a look at the our introductory tutorial or reviewing the contributing to Wikipedia page to learn the basics about editing. Below are a few other good pages about article creation.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions ask me on my talk page or you can just type {{help me}} on this page, followed by your question, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Again, welcome!  - Sumanuil (talk) 05:57, 2 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Template:Patrick Oriyomi requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

Not a template.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, pages that meet certain criteria may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. - Sumanuil (talk) 05:57, 2 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Cappienetworks,
What you created is an article draft, not a template, so I have moved it to User:Cappienetworks/Patrick Oriyomi where you can continue to work on it. Please submit it to Articles for Creation when you are finished with it so it can be reviewed.
If you have questions, please bring them to the Teahouse. Liz Read! Talk! 21:07, 2 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Patrick Oriyomi

[edit]

Hello, Cappienetworks,

Please be aware that an article on this subject was recently the subject of a deletion debate (Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Patrick Oriyomi). If you move your draft article directly into the main space of the project, it is likely that it will be deleted as well.

You can try submitting it to Articles for Creation and having it reviewed about a new page reviewer, it might then be allowed to be moved into mainspace as an article. If you have questions, please bring them to WP:AFC. Liz Read! Talk! 19:57, 3 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

To submit on "Article for Creation" will I have to re write it all over again or simply redirect it to the section. Also, will it be considered if i can the topic from just "Patrick Oriyomi" to "Dr. Patrick Oriyomi" to move it into mainspace ?

Thank you! Cappienetworks (talk) 19:18, 4 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

As previously advised, your edits, such as the edit you made to Draft:Patrick Oriyomi, give the impression you have a financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. You were asked to cease editing until you responded by either stating that you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits, or by complying with the mandatory requirements under the Wikimedia Terms of Use that you disclose your employer, client and affiliation. Again, you can post such a disclosure on your user page at User:Cappienetworks, and the template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Cappienetworks|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. Please respond before making any other edits to Wikipedia. scope_creepTalk 19:45, 4 March 2021 (UTC) [reply]

Control copyright icon Hello Cappienetworks! Your additions to Draft:Patrick Oriyomi have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • We have strict guidelines on the usage of copyrighted images. Fair use images must meet all ten of the non-free content criteria in order to be used in articles, or they will be deleted. All other images must be made available under a free and open license that allows commercial and derivative reuse to be used on Wikipedia.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into either the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Such a release must be done in a verifiable manner, so that the authority of the person purporting to release the copyright is evidenced. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps in Wikipedia:Translation#How to translate. See also Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Nathan2055talk - contribs 19:40, 4 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @Cappienetworks: I made a report to WP:UUA about your username, which is not ideal. scope_creepTalk 19:53, 4 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

My Username is not ideal? For what reason if I may ask? Thank you! Cappienetworks (talk) 10:47, 6 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Well, Cappienetworks, it implies that you are editing as or on behalf of a group, which is against our policies – Wikipedia user accounts are strictly for individual use only. It also very strongly suggests that you are a paid employee of Cappie Connect World, and were editing here without having made an appropriate disclosure of your paid status. You added content to a DJ Nana page here (now deleted); Cappie Connect World claims to have a client called DJ Nana. That's a little too much for co-incidence, I think.
