Edits to Posthumanism
Hello User:Cannolis! I just wanted to talk with you about the reversion of several edits that I recently made to the article Posthumanis. In looking over the article, the block quote about transhumanism seems out of place, given that posthumanism and transhumanism are not considered philosophical equivalents. Moreover, I think that without proper mention of Haraway, the article does not fully address the cultural significance of the posthuman discourse. I've chosen to undo the reversion because I think that the article appears incomplete without them. If you would like to suggest any other changes, please be sure to let me know. Thank you. --ObscuraScientia (talk) 14:39, 12 October 2015 (UTC)
- Whups, my mistake, I use a third party browser to very quickly review recent edits, and the way the program is set up it just shows the most recent edit and so all I saw was an edit removing some sourced content with no explanation. Looking more carefully, it seems you were just moving something as well as adding new information so my revert was in error. Thanks for undoing it and sorry for the misunderstanding. Clarification requested
I am trying to understand use of the word "grossly" in your response to my edit request on bagels. Could you possibly expand, or offer one or more specific suggestions for improvement?
Seamusdemora (talk) 06:29, 11 September 2015 (UTC)
- Grossly just means extremely. I declined the request as it didn't really add anything to help readers understand what a bagel is and mostly just described Panera products. Cannolis (talk) 13:52, 11 September 2015 (UTC)
I wanted to make the point that not everything called a bagel is really a bagel - even if it is labelled as such by a large company. I thought one way to get that point across was to call out Paneras' bagels (only two of them actually) for what they really are - rolls. And the "Varieties" section seemed a good location for that point.
If adding to the reader's understanding is the standard, then how do pizza bagels and Montreal bagels gain admission?
Not trying be argumentative, I really would like to understand.
Seamusdemora (talk) 04:43, 15 September 2015 (UTC)
- If you could provide a reliable, secondary source that comments on the existence of products called bagels but aren't true bagels, that might be able to go under the Bagel#Non-traditional doughs and types section in a way that avoids promoting/attacking a specific company. I will point out ahead of time that none of the sources you listed on Talk:Bagel would be considered reliable Cannolis (talk) 13:04, 16 September 2015 (UTC)
- I've read the criteria for reliable sources, and I've looked again at the sources cited in the Bagel article. Several of these sources are from blogs and the websites of establishments that prepare and sell bagel products. I believe that the references I cited are reliable within the context of the article; they are certainly consistent with many of the references cited therein. I also feel that under your "editorial judgement", the Bagel article would be sparse, dry and far less informative than it is now. And finally, I feel that you've closed your mind on this. Consequently, I am requesting that you forward this to another party within the Wikipedia organization for resolution. Please let me know if you require anything from me to initiate this process. Seamusdemora (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 14:26, 8 October 2015 (UTC)
- I am always against posts on Chow-hound or Facebook as sources. There's nowhere really to "forward" this to, but you can go back to Talk:Bagel and make your case again. Traffic there does look a bit slow so you might have to ping some of the Wikiprojects listed on the page. Alternatively, there is WP:3O, where you can request a 3rd opinion. Cannolis (talk) 00:25, 9 October 2015 (UTC)
- I understand your reluctance to rely on Chow-hound and Facebook; they're certainly not my first choice when I want facts. However, I still feel that opinions are relevant in the context of the subject matter. If the article was about the merits of various surface finishes used on submarines, I would not have resorted to Chow-hound or Facebook - but bagels? In this particular case, I felt that the hole was a necessary condition, but acknowledged there might be some "wiggle room" on that point. Also, I did not think it appropriate to rely solely on my opinion, and interpretation of the facts. Thus, I felt the opinions of others were relevant, and provided further substantiation.

- However, after re-reading my proposal just now, I realized that I failed to qualify them as opinions. I have corrected that oversight, and am hereby re-submitting this for your review. Please let me know your opinions. Seamusdemora (talk) 20:10, 11 October 2015 (UTC)
- The same issue regarding sources still applies - Wikipedia does not report on the opinions of every Tom, Dick, and Harry, and so these opinions from Chow-hound and Facebook are not sufficiently notable to be discussed. If you can perhaps find a secondary source like a news article/opinion of a noted food critic that voices this same opinion, that would be another story. Cannolis (talk) 14:52, 12 October 2015 (UTC)

MCSE copyright issue
I removed the copyright heading because after reviewing the page, there is nothing that has copyrighted material. The page simply has information over the certificates. Please either remove the copyright heading yourself or point out the so called copyrighted material and remove it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.26.129.180 (talk) 11:06, 18 October 2015 (UTC)
- Just looking the link provided in the copyright template shows
As a Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) your certification proves that you have the comprehensive set of skills to perform a particular IT job role, such as database administrator or enterprise messaging administrator. MCITP certifications are based on older versions of Microsoft technologies, and will decline in value as companies move to newer versions of our products. Take advantage of special upgrades to earn a Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) certification, and protect your investment in certifications.
Most MCITP certifications will be retired by July 31, 2014.

Please explain how this [1] was vandalism. 87.114.92.146 (talk) 13:27, 18 October 2015 (UTC)
- Not so much vandalism as not constructive - Poor grammar, the addition does not specify what is located in London, and was really unnecessary, the preceding sentence mentions the London Underground and London Double Decker bus. Cannolis (talk) 16:49, 18 October 2015 (UTC)
A barnstar for you!
The Citation Barnstar | |
Thank you EUt:Cannolis. I realise my sanskrit translation isn't 100% and was hoping that section you deleted would be barnstormed to completion. Some I had right and some I didn't. I'll leave it with no further intention to transcribe, being more familiar with Wikipedias' guidlines. I later found the Devanagari script section in the language drop-down and realise I was in way over my head. [Otherwise] 'set right' by JB and others, I'll refrain from making changes on talk sections until invited. I hope my message here is correct. I have that disease of not wanting to read, also, due to suffocating propensities [and] so much is lost in wordiness. The added excitement of finding Wikipedia and its' inner workings contributing [to that] apparent overwhelm. Happy policing. [[[User:Sudaama90|Sudaama90]] (talk]) 12:25, 18 October 2015 (UTC) |
- I removed it as I don't see the purpose of having transcription - having the translation makes much more sense, and that's already there. Cannolis (talk) 12:27, 18 October 2015 (UTC)
- Happy editing to you. Cannolis (talk) 13:59, 19 October 2015 (UTC)

Novak Djokovic
Could you participate in the closure of the request on Djokovic talk page. I think there's an obvious consensus. You suggested an edit, as it's a proposal of mine. I agreed and the third major contributor who initially opposed has entered that to the article. Since then another editor who opposes has appeared, but he doesn't have valid positions, nor sources. I'm having some doubts, and I would like it if an uninvolved editor could do the closure.194.152.253.47 (talk) 10:45, 15 October 2015 (UTC)
- I have really no dog in that fight, was just offering my opinion if there was no question about sourcing. But it looks like there are sources supporting the opposing side as well. You may want to discuss the reliability of the sources of each side at WP:RSN, and this would also help bring this disagreement to the attention of more editors. Cannolis (talk) 13:40, 16 October 2015 (UTC)
- There should not have been a fight. It's not my fault there is. I have a RS on my side and the other side had not presented any valid objection apart from the claim of "Croatian propaganda". I really do not know how to answer to that. The source they presented is on Serbian and no English quote was provided. I asked for it, but the person refused to answer. After reading the comment about "Croatian propaganda" and "us" and "them" I honestly doubt that the source says what this user claims it says. I asked for a formal closure, and I really don't see how this RS would be rejected because no valid objection and no valid sources that oppose it have been presented. You say that it looks that there are sources supporting each side, so you must know Serbian language. Could you please provide a quote from that youtube video that denies the source I support? 54.158.155.211 (talk) 21:09, 18 October 2015 (UTC)
- I do not speak Serbian, and completely disregarded the Youtube link. I looked at the other source provided which is already used and cited on the article in section Novak_Djokovic#2006:_First_ATP_titles, where he is quoted as saying "I am Serbian, I am proud of being a Serbian". - Thanks, but I don't see what that has to do with his parents and his ethnicity. I already said, this won't make him less of a Serbian. That is his nationality and he feels like that, but he does not deny his ethnicity and he himself spoke of it in the source. I feel that some other people object because of emotional reasons. Well I don't feel, that comment of that user says so. I don't see how that is a valid reason to object. He's not denying me but Djokovic himself. I also feel like I'm being presented as pushing something. I'm not pushing. I support a source of Djokovic himself speaking of his ethnicity, and I would feel sad if I had to push it enters the article, because some people would rather put their own feelings before the RS and Djokovic's statement itself. I really wouldn't like to point to someone's nationality, but some Serbian user came out of the blue and closed my request on the administrators noticeboard. Improperly and for the first time ever, and other went to edit warring and I'm being prevented from discussing on the talk page. I feel sad for Wikipedia when I experience cases like this. How would you feel if I were to go to administrator's noticeboard and close your request improperly and as an IP who came out of the blue? I don't think you would feel good if someone accused you of pushing propaganda if you had such a source like the one Djokovic himself speaks of his ethnicity, then went of edit warring and win. I reopened the formal closure request and I'm really interested what will become of this. I can't see how this source wouldn't be included since no other sources oppose it, since it is RS, and since we have Djokovic confirming it. I completely agree with your source, since it doesn't oppose the source where Djokovic speaks of his ethnicity. When he says "I'm Serbian" I think it is obvious he speaks of his nationality, and not ethnicity. 141.136.202.144 (talk) 17:25, 19 October 2015 (UTC)
- It is not good policy to try and assume what Djokovic might've been referring to this quote, just as it is not good policy to try and assume what the motives of other editors are. If another editor questions the validity of your source, you should not assume he is doing so "because he is a Serb". This does not help you make your case. What you should be doing is following my suggestion of going to the reliable sources noticeboard and discussing it there. I saw a closed edit request on Talk:Novak Djokovic, but nothing on the reliable sources board. You also should not be hopping IPs, this is widely considered to be very suspicious behavior, I highly suggest you register an account before going about all of this. - I'm not sure if I understand the first part of the first sentece, but this is a secondary source. This other edior's point of view is that this is "Croatian propaganda". I'm not the one who is pulling the nationality card. I just noticed that their stand is emotional, probably because of their nationality. I don't know how to response to that. I am concentrated on the source and it is a reliable secondary source with no sources that oppose it. I already told you to why the discussion appears closed. A totally random editor (who appears to be Serbian for unrelated reason) came and close it. It's like I went on closing formal closure requests in an inproper way. I reopened the closure request and it's still pending. I'm soory for IP hopping but you try for yourself to post a few posts from a mobile device in a time period of half an hour. Mobile networks change IP very frequently, and some land network providers also chane it more frequently. Sometimes my ip changes between 2 posts, that's really not up to me, but the mobile network provider. Or even better. Try to post from a mobile device, then turn off mobile data and post again. It's most likely your IP will be changed.212.15.177.109 (talk) 21:23, 19 October 2015 (UTC)
- I'm looking through some of your other IP edits and it looks like several of the addresses have been temporarily blocked for block evasion. As you have been warned by LjL and AlbinoFerret, it not a good idea to try and get around the block but you should to just wait for it to expire if your unblock appeal is declined. Also, it would be very easy to avoid being blocked for WP:sockpuppeting if you had one registered account and only used that one account. I will further note that editing from a registered account under a pseudonym like mine or any editor's username is far more anonymous than from an IP address - an IP can easily be geolocated with tools readily available to any user on Wikipedia whereas the IP address(es) that a registered user edits from can only be viewed by a select number of CheckUsers. Cannolis (talk) 01:31, 20 October 2015 (UTC)
- Don't mind that, it's way too complicated. i was a part of another extensive discussion where another user tried to block people that don't agree with him. He was successful only with me, since I'm an IP. 194.152.253.45 (talk) 09:37, 20 October 2015 (UTC)

Here we go, now an editor says that the formal closure request is done because the edit request is closed. I mean, I hope you see that some random person editing it in that blue square doesn't make it closed. If that is the case, I can go and close every other request with the same explanation "no consensus.". I will still contact him to see what he has to say. Why had he closed that edit request. 141.136.228.115 (talk) 22:16, 20 October 2015 (UTC)
I would just like to notify you that this RS won't be entered in the article although no sources oppose it. I feel that's against what Wikipedia stands. The source you pointed out is already incorporated in the 1st source. It doesn't oppose it as you said. Some users decided to prevent "Croatian propaganda" enters the article with personal attacks against me. I only do not understand to why they are calling Djokovic himself to be spreading "Croatian propaganda". I don't think they are doing this from objective reasons but from emotional. I don't suppose you would like to get in the middle of this to defend a RS? I hope you understand why I use IP's, since those high tension discussions often finish up like this. But I feel those hard discussions where you have to fight against subjective opposition are also a part of editing Wikipedia. How can Wikipedia be a good source of info if we let those high tension questions be resolved in the favor of the bigger subjective group. I can't describe how wrong is a reason to deny Djokovic himself to push your POV. It would be like Djokovic said "I'm Serbian" and I came and said to his face, no you'r not! It's amazing what kid of behavior can go far on Wikipedia. 141.136.216.242 (talk) 09:30, 24 October 2015 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 141.138.44.84 (talk)

Thanks for proving my theory about Wikipedia!
I just want to personally thank you, ye of the illustrious eyes and ever-expanding wikipedia knowledge, for proving all my theories about Wikipedia.
- : My teachers in school and everyone else in the world were right about WP as a source. It's tertiary, editable, oftentimes misleading, and to get all the information on a topic, its edit history is required. Go figure.
- : Just because something's well-known or notable doesn't mean the very elite, select group that Wikipedia allows within its ranks will think so. You're an excellent example of this -- it's not a bad thing, I guess. Not here, anyway.
- : Notability is based not on what wikipedia says it's based on, but on what senior wikipedians say it's based on. If this weren't the case, the mountains of google results (550,000) resulting from a search of (in this example) CWC would be enough to say something's notable. Way to go, Wikipedia -- you're blissfully, willfully, hopelessly ignorant of the rest of the internet. How ironic.
So yeah, really! Thanks! Enjoy the Wikitea and Wikicookies, or whatever else wikipedians feel they garner from proudly touting about their silly site's policies. It's really quite entertaining watching thy valiant efforts. Ceadeus Slayer Sea of Blood © 19:18, 30 October 2015 (UTC)

Though her year of birth is 1978. even two years back you have cited same DOB on wikipedia i.e. 1978. Eve the source you have taken for her DOB is also not reliabe. She has also confessed in her interviews that she is on wrong side of thirties. Now sources are difficult to find as people follow wikipedia, and because of your wrong information, they are also citing wrong. And it is difficult to find older articles. you can come to know also by her passing year of her degree from lady shriram that she is 1978 born. Even when she joined film industry she was considered to be one who was of older age and joined late. she is old. Even if you find my source unreliable, keep on searching but until you find something reliable, upto thatperiod dont mention her age , as what you are citing is totally wrong. She wasduring starting of her career was considered older than nargis fakri, whose year of birth is 1979 . so how can she be 1986 born. you can go throuh your older articles and references, and than you will herself come to know her real age. Juris Doctor
First, the edits I made to multiple pages changing "Juris Doctorate" to "Juris Doctor" were constructive regardless of any semantic disagreement we may have over the need to include the word "degree" after the latter phrase. A "Juris Doctorate" does not exist; it is a misnomer and its inclusion in any page on this site is in error. Thus any change of "Juris Doctorate" to "Juris Doctor" contributes positively to the accuracy of a page and should not be disturbed.
Second, the word "degree" does not need to immediately follow "Juris Doctor" for the term to be correct. It would be correct say "I earned my Ph.D." just as it would also be correct to say "I earned my Ph.D. degree." The same principle applies to the "Juris Doctor." Additionally, the term "Juris Doctor" is often abbreviated to "J.D." or "JD," both of which may be used correctly without the inclusion of "degree" immediately afterward. The term "Juris Doctor" refers to the degree itself rather than the holder.
As evidence of my second point, please see this page, which shows the terminology used by Harvard Law School: http://hls.harvard.edu/dept/academics/degree-programs/. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 152.3.43.230 (talk) 21:35, 13 November 2015 (UTC)

About that proposed change to the Bagel article
Dear Cannolis,
I received an email on Oct 11 indicating that a change had been made to the article on Bagels. I just returned from a trip abroad, and checked the status of my proposed edit, and the Bagels article in general. As nearly as I could follow all of this, you had approved my proposed edit with a correction, but I could find nothing in the actual article. More confusingly, our discussion here on your Talk page seems to have vanished - at least I could not find in the active section, nor in your archives.
Can you tell me what has happened?

- I'm not sure why you got an email notification, the last change to the bagel article was in September. As for our discussion, the archiving bot started a 2nd archive page as the 1st one was getting longer but did not make a link to it. I've corrected my archive box now, the link is User talk:Cannolis/Archive 2. Cannolis (talk) 18:22, 14 November 2015 (UTC)
About the 'Controversies' section on the page of 'City Montessori School'
This is with regard to your reply to the comment posted by user 'Alindra', requesting deletion of the 'Controversies' section as it wrongfully maligns the reputation of this well-known, world's largest school as per the [2] Guinness Book of Records.
Thank you at the outset for pointing out the anomalies in the user's approach in editing the article. With reference to your queries, I wish to present some references which present the facts:
1. With reference to the allegation that CMS founder Dr Jagdish Gandhi stopped a Pakistani school from participating in 2014 International Students' Cricket Premier League, it may be noted that during that time, tensions were running high between India and Pakistan because of the beheading of some Indian soldiers at the India-Pakistan border. Due to the security concerns prevailing during that period, especially when anti-Pakistan sentiment was high, the school management was not sure if it was the right time for Pakistani children to come to India. Later, it was found that the student team from Pakistan was also denied visas by the Indian Embassy to travel to India. CMS is the only school in the world ever to receive the UNESCO Prize for Peace Education (in 2002) for its work to unite warring countries in order to secure a safe future for the children the world over. As well as its pen friends program (“Aao Dosti Karein”) with children in Pakistani schools, CMS has invited, welcomed and hosted a large number of delegations from Pakistani schools over the years.[1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8]
2. The allegation about the school hiking the fee gives a partial and imbalanced picture. The full press release at 'New academic session, new fee structure' of The Times of India says, "With 20 branches, City Montessori School (CMS) has hiked the nursery, Montessori and kindergarten (KG) fees by 16% compared to last year. The school management has increased the fee for other classes by less than 10%. " The fact about the school increasing the fee only by less than 10% (8% to be more accurate) has been hidden from the material on the ‘Controversies’ page. CMS is probably the only school which is so transparent about its fee structure that it publishes a dossier every year clearly stating the new fee for various classes for the session. No other school probably publishes the fee dossier for the benefit of its parents and the public.
3. With regard to CMS refusing admission to 13 poor children under the RTE Act (Right to Education Act) and the contempt notice by the Allahabad High Court in September, 2015, the fact is that the school had approached the Supreme Court of India to appeal against the decision of the Allahabad High Court, and to make such an appeal for a ‘stay’ against a lower court’s order is legal under Indian law. The school itself had approached the High Court first against the directive of the Basic Education Officer in April 2015 to admit 31 poor children as that directive was not in accordance with the legal state rules for the implementation of RTE Act. It is not unlawful anywhere in the world to approach the courts against the directive which are not found in accordance with law. Once the Supreme Court's directive came, the school immediately admitted the said 13 children the very next day, as is evident from the press release here.[9] The matter is still sub-judice before the Supreme Court with the last order of the court saying that the 13 schools should be admitted forthwith as an interim measure so that their education does not suffer, however, should there be found vacancies in other nearer schools in the vicinity of the residences of the children (as claimed by the appellant), the Supreme Court may order the shifting of these children to those nearby schools.
4. With regard to the matter of slapping of a student by a CMS teacher causing him to bleed from one ear and a subsequent filing of a police complaint against him, the fact is, a thorough enquiry was conducted by the CMS management in the case and it was found that though the teacher had indeed slapped the student. While CMS does not condone the action of the teacher the behavior of the student (snatching the lunch-box of a much younger student and throwing it) leaves much to be desired. The student later apologized to the teacher for his behaviour and the parents withdrew the police case against the teacher. The teacher in question also submitted his clarification and an apology. The school has a zero-tolerance policy towards corporal punishment and this is strictly enforced.
5. Regarding the case of a student of CMS Mahanagar Campus I committing suicide allegedly due to harassment from his school principal, the case is still sub-judice. No judgement has been delivered and the culpability of the Principal has not been established. She must be held to be innocent until proven guilty, as per Wikipedia rule which says, "A person accused of a crime is presumed innocent until proven guilty and convicted by a court of law. For relatively unknown people, editors must seriously consider not including material in any article suggesting that the person has committed, or is accused of committing, a crime unless a conviction is secured.[6] If different judicial proceedings result in seemingly contradictory judgements that do not override each other,[7] refrain from using pithy descriptors or absolutes and instead use more explanatory information."
I sincerely hope the above clarifications are sufficient to establish that the 'Controversies' section has been inserted with the intent to malign the reputation of a world-renowned school. Therefore, it is my earnest request to kindly remove the section from the page of 'City Montessori School' and oblige.

Daniel Fleetwood
Do I need a death certificate? I was going to add a complete bio, Daniel recently passed and grew worldwide attention with #forcefordaniel. Disney and Lucasfilm as well as Director JJ Abrams granted Daniel his dying wish; to see Star Wars - The Force Awakens. This happened days before his death at his home just north or Houston. So let me know what I need to post so that Daniel Fleetwood has died and deserves a spot on wiki. Eneeksp67 (talk) 14:57, 1 December 2015 (UTC)
- You're going to want to read Wikipedia:Your first article pretty thoroughly, including some of the links to other Wikipedia policy pages like WP:N and WP:RS, and then submit it to Wikipedia:Articles for creation. Honestly though, I doubt it will pass there, and if it does, it's my opinion it will likely be deleted, given that Wikipedia is not a memorial. The most likely place a mention of this might be made would be on the article for Star Wars: The Force Awakens itself. Looking at that article's talk page, there is a discussion about Fleetwood's story currently ongoing there that you might want to participate in. Cannolis (talk) 15:11, 1 December 2015 (UTC)

JJ Abrams
I was crestfallen and dismayed you reverted my extremely funny edit to the JJ Abrams article, and threatened to block me from further editing.
Wikipedia needs to balance the needs of people who view it as a valuable information resource, with those who view it as a highly entertaining MMORPG.
There are a lot of people who once edited Wikipedia seriously, but who, after figuring out the management exerted complete editorial control over content by gaming a deliberately massive and opaque set of rules, decided to take it a lot less seriously.
As one former Wikipedia editor opined...
"The Wikipedia is the massive, structured blog of an online cult. The cult is dedicated to the agglomeration of information and disinformation (i.e. data) and its classification (in the form of articles). It also revolves around the personality of Jimmy Wales and his "disciples" and, in this sense, it is a personality cult and a pseudo-religion. The only thing the Wikipedia is not is an encyclopedia."
Have a nice day.

Hi there
Hi Canolis. I'm the user that suggested the change in the first sentence of the Daniel Holtzclaw article's first line about the black women and criminal records. I know the connection and relevance between the women's criminal records and Daniel Hotlzclaw. I know he targeted them. My issue was that it was the very first line of the story, when it could be placed elsewhere. My problem was that it was on the first line, and looked to me to be a shaming tactic towards the victims. At least, it reads like that to me. I can't simplify it anymore, it reads like a shaming tactic. Is it really that much of a bother to alter the paragraph so black women reading this won't feel that this is victim shaming? Is it really that much trouble? Just one line??? Thank you for reading this.

DRN help needed and volunteer roll call
You are receiving this message because you have listed yourself on the list of volunteers at Wikipedia:Dispute resolution noticeboard/Volunteering#List of the DRN volunteers.
First, assistance is needed at DRN. We have recently closed a number of cases without any services being provided for lack of a volunteer willing to take the case. There are at least three cases awaiting a volunteer at this moment. Please consider taking one.
Second, this is a volunteer roll call. If you remain interested in helping at DRN and are willing to actively do so by taking at least one case (and seeing it through) or helping with administrative matters at least once per calendar month, please add your name to this roll call list. Individuals currently on the principal volunteer list who do not add their name on the roll call list will be removed from the principal volunteer list after June 30, 2016 unless the DRN Coordinator chooses to retain their name for the best interest of DRN or the encyclopedia. Individuals whose names are removed after June 30, 2016, should feel free to re-add their names to the principal volunteer list, but are respectfully requested not to do so unless they are willing to take part at DRN at least one time per month as noted above. No one is going to be monitoring to see if you live up to that commitment, but we respectfully ask that you either live up to it or remove your name from the principal volunteer list.

What was wrong with my change to "Weyl law"?
At 12:48, 22 May 2006, I edited the page "Weyl law", and during that very same minute (!) you reverted my change with a justification that "it did not appear constructive". Thus I have to say that:
- It's certainly minor and unimportant but hardly unconstructive. It may be useful for those who come to the page looking for a specific formula and don't want to waste those few minutes that it takes to compute the constant in it.

Nonsense
Strictly, that only applies to stuff like printer's pie ("gfyttyv uivyutrrfgfc") or stuff that is otherwise incomprehensible ("steak rotifer flanges overcasting breadfruit commonwealth"). If it can be read as an English statement, it doesn't count as nonsense. Bronzefish was an attempt at humour, and mildly funny (to me, at least). Talk Italo-Greek War
Did you notice that there's a sock investigation re your correspondent? Regards Keith-264 (talk) 14:54, 19 August 2016 (UTC)
It is important to remove the reference to the brave Italian soldiers who fought in that campaign as the "macaroni boys". It is derogatory and unnecessary and adds nothing to the Analysis section. Secondly, it would be right and historically accurate to include a brief statement about the surrender of the Greek forces to the Italians and the terms of that surrender. After all, the armistice was signed by the Greeks to both the Germans and the Italians. Why mention only the German armistice and not the Italian one a few days later? The omission is rather odd.
I have tried several times to rectify the above but my good faith edits are constantly reverted because I am suspected of being a sock puppet of a previous banned editor called AnnalesSchool. Sources needed for Days of the Year pages
I see you recently accepted a pending change to May 29. I looked for a source for this date of birth in the Gregg Sulkin that I could add to the DOY page and it was unsupported by any reliable source there either. These are the types of additions that have put the WP:DOY under pending changes protection.
You're probably not aware of this change, but Days of the Year pages are no longer exempt from WP:V and direct sources are required for additions. For details see the WikiProject Days of the Year style guide. I've gone ahead and un-accepted this edit and backed it out.
As a pending changes patroller, please do not accept additions to day of year pages where no direct source has been provided on that day of year page. The burden to provide sources for additions to these pages is on the editor who adds or restores material to these pages. Thank you. Toddst1 (talk) 13:21, 27 August 2018 (UTC)

- @Ameershahul29, at Talk:Muhammad. If you are on a phone, you might have tap something first, on my phone it's "About this page". You can also chose "desktop" view on your phone (probably bottom of page) or use a laptop instead. Hope this helps. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 15:57, 21 November 2021 (UTC)

Is really my contribution not "constructive"? Or is it maybe vandalism? Why did you revert my contribution, I believe it is interesting and informative and let other people know that as well. "Wikipedians who undertake Recent Changes patrol. These users use the recent changes section to monitor what others do to Wikipedia articles, and revert or undo the changes if they are identified as vandalism." — Preceding unsigned comment added by 106.69.119.100 (talk) 09:38, 27 August 2016 (UTC)
- The main reason I reverted your edit was the address of the Ponant offices on the island and the link to the hiring page of their website, which would be prohibited per WP:ELNO. I'm also note quite convinced their headquarters are on Uvea - the Compagnie du Ponant article lists it in Marseille, and while the careers link you placed gave that address for crew applicants, there's also an address for office staff applicants. If you could find a source that definitively says their headquarters is in Uvea that would indeed be interesting information. Cannolis (talk) 09:50, 27 August 2016 (UTC)

Why was the reason for dismissal of Andrew Wakefield's libel case removed from the Andrew Wakefield page? Given the nature of the controversy surrounding his work, the reason for dismissal is important. It was not dismissed on the basis of the lack of evidence or some other reason, but simply because the judge found the court lacked jurisdiction over a British journal. PeterNSteinmetz (talk) 02:31, 27 September 2019 (UTC)
- That was my mistake, if you look at the revision history of the page, I reverted my undo of your edit and then added an updated link to the judge's rationale. And if you look at the article now you'll see that the live version of Andrew Wakefield still reads "In August 2012 District Court Judge Amy Meachum dismissed Wakefield's suit for lack of jurisdiction." Mahendra Dhoni
I saw u edited on talk page of MS Dhoni. The article is protected so I want u to do a edit, in early int career or personal life part - during mid 2000s to circa 2010, Dhoni kept long, orange color dyed hairs inspiring from John Abraham's long hair look from Dhoom film of early 2000s. During India tour of Pakistan, Pakistani President Parvez Musharraf praised Dhoni hairstyles and asked to do not have haircut. - (talk page stalker)@ClamshellThoractomy: Cannolis is an experienced editor and knows what a reference is. You, on the other hand, apparently do not. Your first attempt [3] was completely unsourced, and your second attempt [4] was not much better. "<VHSL Group 3A>" is not a reference. And by the way, even were you to provide a reliable reference, we do not list non-notable students by name, so we would not mention the captain in any case. Meters (talk) 00:41, 29 January 2022 (UTC)

Kid Cudi photo
Thank you for editing out the inaccurate photo, however there should be a photo in the acting career section to replace the old one. 204.210.129.204 (talk) 14:52, 31 January 2022 (UTC)
- I'm certainly not opposed to a new photo, however, we currently don't have one on the Commons that I think would fit well - it should be something more recent than 2010 as that is when he started acting, and should not be of him singing. There's a couple of him in a brownish shirt that I think would work but we're already using that as his infobox picture. If you have another image in mind that meets the image use policy then go for it. Cannolis (talk) 00:12, 2 February 2022 (UTC)

Aaliyah
Damon Dash is listed as a spouse in her infobox, when they were never married. Please correct this. Also, Aaliyah's page seems to contain a lot of excessive information. Why is it important for the reader to know her hands were similar to a non notable unnamed aunt or that her grandmother spoiled her as a kid and she had pets in early life? In the education section, it says she considered herself small in stature as an adult, and to me, that could be a part of her public image, but has little to do with education. 2600:1702:2A40:3E40:1910:8850:9EF1:F596 (talk) 23:41, 13 February 2022 (UTC)
- Fixed the spouse thing. Not sure about the other stuff, feel free to talk it to the article talk page. Cannolis (talk) 00:31, 14 February 2022 (UTC)
Thank you. Though, I don't quite agree that their relationship was unclear. He's been referred to as her boyfriend in the media countless times, despite Aaliyah not confirming it publicly because she liked her privacy and playing coy. Damon himself has acknowledged they dated for a year, so has her brother Rashad who said Damon treated her like a princess and made her happy, in a doc released shortly after death. Regarding the other stuff, I will leave it alone, I guess, since too much information isn't the same as misinformation.2600:1702:2A40:3E40:1910:8850:9EF1:F596 (talk) 00:52, 14 February 2022 (UTC)

April 2022
Your recent editing history at British Union of Fascists shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See the bold, revert, discuss cycle for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.
Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. Harry Styles
Hello! This is wrt the GQ article from earlier. I would highly recommemd reading it yourself because it's not ethical to keep it the way it's phrased. The journalist in the article admits to getting Harry alone against the will of his management and then attempting to pressure him into answering questions. At the very least, it should be clear in the article that these were the circumstances in which he said "I am pretty sure I'm not bisexual." But preferably I think it would be best to remove journalism like that. H-influenzae (talk) 22:35, 29 April 2022 (UTC)

Need Change Against Wrong Information About Ayurveda
Wikipedia is a global & trusted platform. But, your information about ayurveda is not completely correct. Your post calling it as "pseudoscience" but it's not true. It's complete science and many famous ayurveda consultants and researchers has already published research papers in various science journals. They are not only managing but treating various disease conditions. I being an ayurveda consultant have witness this. It's very disrespectful for such universal & scientific pathy being called as pseudoscience. By doing so, you are disrespecting all indian ayurveda practitioners who are treating thousands of patients whose health gets deteriorated by side effects of modern allopathy medicine. Even many modern medicine practitioners gets treatment from ayurveda consultants & praise this science which is based on facts & universal truth. Please do your research before you write anything on your platform. You are spreading wrong information about Ayurveda. You are disrespecting Indian Health Science which was there before birth of modern science. I hope you will do your little research and bring changes to it as soon as possible.
