Hey again
I saw that you're doing some very helpful edits against vandalism, which are a great contribution to Wikipedia. I do enjoy helping improve Wikipedia myself. It would be nice to catch you on IRC sometime and discuss how one can contribute against vandalism and what tools there are available for use. I saw that you're linking to a few IRC channels on freenode at the bottom of your userpage. I don't want to be rude and privately message you there without asking first. May I? :-)

I'm not sure why User:74.227.143.119 decided to blank my talk page (I do a lot of new page patrol, which might explain it) but thanks for reverting it when I wasn't there to keep an eye on it. Much obliged. Accounting4Taste:talk 04:02, 17 February 2008 (UTC)
Rollback, again...
You reverted half a dozen constructive edits by a user here for no obvious reason. As before, please stop using automated tools to revert without carefully examining what you are rolling back, or your privileges of using them may be taken away again. krimpet✽ 01:48, 14 February 2008 (UTC)
- It appears you've now rolled back an attempt by an IP at fixing vandalism, as well as given that IP a warning... as before, it is of utmost importance to double-check what you are doing when using automated tools. I'm sorry it had to come to this again, but I've removed your ability to use automated tools for one week. :/ krimpet✽ 13:30, 17 February 2008 (UTC)

For you
Hey - how about not reverting every change? Just a thought... I was going to edit the Conjugate Gradient article but every little thing got reverted right as I was doing it. This is very counter productive. Unless your 13 year editors can fill out articles like this then please let users work on it. You can check in the next day and see if you want to revert the article then. This has been a very sour experience and I doubt I'll contribute monetarily or scientifically again. I heard google actually wants experts on their Knol site. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.101.160.213 (talk) 08:13, 19 February 2008 (UTC)

Hey! you reverted all my hard work on naked lunch!
please don't do it again. adding sources and correcting errors is hardly unconstructive! much luff 80.5.156.202 (talk) 13:39, 20 February 2008 (UTC)
- the source is correct though, if you can find another source that fills the gap - replace it - otherwise I'd rather have an unrecognised source that IS correct, than none at all. also, you didnt need to revert LOADS of my edits did you? that's the sort of thing thats going to wind people up. much love 80.5.156.202 (talk) 13:48, 20 February 2008 (UTC)
- I do not cite it as a reliable source, but it is correct. If you know of a more reliable source then please cite it instead, it would be much appreciated. Again, you did not need to revert my hard work much luff 80.5.156.202 (talk) 13:56, 20 February 2008 (UTC)
- Self-published material may, in some circumstances, be acceptable when produced by an established expert on the topic of the article whose work in the relevant field has previously been published by reliable third-party publications. However, caution should be exercised when using such sources: if the information in question is really worth reporting, someone else is likely to have done so.

You recently gave this user a level 2 warning for these two edits. While I agree that adding unsourced information & POV to articles is not ideal, it certainly doesn't have the appearance of someone out to do damage to the article. --Sturm 20:58, 20 February 2008 (UTC)
- Sine per WP:NOT, the content was advert like so it was removed. I've had experience before in things like this, in the end they were removed. Please also see WP:SCH#WNTI for more info. CWii(Talk|Contribs) 21:02, 20 February 2008 (UTC)
- That's beside the point. I'm not saying you shouldn't have reverted – far from it. I was trying to say that the warning was out of proportion to the edits – {{Uw-npov1}} and a pointer to the guidelines on school articles would've been more appropriate here. --Sturm 22:42, 20 February 2008 (UTC)

How to revert vandalism
Not like this. Please ensure you revert to a good version - you reverted someone's vandalism, but the version you reverted to was also that of a vandal. You'll notice that the bot did the same thing before you, though I think it would be a bit futile to tell this to it. And the next editor did the same thing too, but assumed your version was vandal free. In fact, every editor since then seemed to do the same thing - which is why it's really important to revert to a good version. Cheers. Richard001 (talk) 21:28, 20 February 2008 (UTC)
- This header appears to be slightly condescending. The vandalism was coming in pretty rapidly from two accounts and an IP for about 18 minutes. Shit happens. I'm sure we've all reverted to a less than ideal version before. And in this edit a few minutes later, Compwhizii fixed the vandalism that Cluebot missed. So Compwhizii was pretty much aware of what was going on, but something got missed in the flurry of activity, and it was soon corrected. Not a big deal. Compwhizii, thank you for helping out. --Bongwarrior (talk) 22:14, 20 February 2008 (UTC)

Welcome to Wikipedia. - WP:AGF "There will be people on Wikipedia with whom you disagree. Even if they are wrong, that does not mean they are trying to wreck the project. [...] Making unwarranted accusations of bad faith can be inflammatory, and is often unhelpful in a dispute." Even the first vandalism warning is unwarranted, unless you can prove that the editor in question is indeed trying to harm Wikipedia. Disagreeing with you on what images should be on Muhammad is not vandalism. --Raphael1 19:33, 23 February 2008 (UTC)
- No, it doesn't make be happy, because anything written on a talk page is a personal opinion of the person who put it there. This is not in any way a policy of any kind. In fact it violates WP:Consensus_can_change which states, that "A small group of editors can reach a consensual decision, but when the article gains wider attention, others may then disagree. The original group should not block further change on grounds that they already have made a decision." This is in fact a Wikipedia policy! --Raphael1 23:43, 23 February 2008 (UTC)

Water Damage Restoration
Hi,
I have made an article for water damage restoration. I will put the necessary wikipedia internal link and some external links. Just check it out if there are changes needed. I don't vandalize and just want accurate information on my specific subject of interest. I will also try to convert this to my native language but it will take time. Hope for your response.
Thanks
Water damage restoration is the process of restoring a property back to pre-loss condition or better after sustaining any level of water damage. As of now, there is no specific government law that requires procedures. Most companies use the IICRC procedural standard, which is the S500. It is based on reliable restoration principles, research and practical experience with extensive consultation and information gathered from numerous sources. These include but are not limited to, the scientific community, the international, national and regional trade associations serving the disaster restoration industry, chemical formulators and equipment manufacturers, cleaning and restoration schools, restoration service companies, the insurance industry, allied trades persons and others with specialized experience. The S500 water damage guide is subject to further revision as developments occur in technology, testing and processing procedures.
The IICRC S500 provides a specific set of practical standards for water damage restoration. It does not attempt to teach comprehensive water damage restoration procedures, rather it provides the foundation and basic principles of proper restoration practices. Prior to specifying the job scope and procedures, the S500 must be reviewed. This is important so that the individual circumstances of each restoration job is taken into account. Users of the S500 must be in pace with technology and follow all rules and regulations of a country whether it may be federal, state, provincial or local law. Each case of a water damage may be unique and common sense may require deviation from the S500.
The procedures to be followed and the precaution to be observed when performing water damage or sewage damage restoration of homes, buildings and other structures, and their contents describes specific guidelines or steps.
Loss Assessment and Evaluation Categorization of Water in Water Damage Principles in Drying Structural and Contents Consideration Monitoring Final Inspection and Completion
Some homeowners, property managers, building maintenance operators use their own personels to perform water damage restoration to save on the growing costs, it is prescribed to hire a professional water damage restoration company to perform these services since there are defining criterias and methods to be used for assessing water damage and establishing restoration procedures. Because of the unique circumstances of every water damage restoration project, it is impractical to issue blanket rules intended to a situation. In extenuating circumstance, deviation from portions of the S500 may be appropriate. Admin coaching request
You have previously expressed an interest in undergoing the Admin coaching program. We're currently engaged in a program reset to help things move more smoothly in the future. If you are still interested in the program, please go to Wikipedia:Admin coaching/Requests for Coaching and re-list yourself under Current requests, deleting your entry from Older requests. Also, double-check to make sure coaching is right for you at theCoachee checklist; WP:Adoption or WP:Editor review may be more appropriate depending on your situation and aspirations. We should get back to you within a day or so, once a coaching relationship has been identified. Thank you. MBisanz talk 06:59, 25 February 2008 (UTC)

Admin coaching match
Hello, I am pleased to announce that you have been paired with User:Riana as an admin coachee. You now have two important tasks to complete:
- 1. Introduce yourself to Riana and explain to them why you want to be an admin.
- 2. Once they has confirmed the relationship to you, edit Wikipedia:Admin coaching/Requests for Coaching to move your name to Wikipedia:Admin coaching/Status to record the match.
Given the limited coaching resources of the Admin Coaching project, if you plan to take a Wikibreak of more than 30 days, please notify your coach or myself so that we will know not to tag you as retired and give your spot to another user. Remember that adminship is not a big deal and that it may take multiple RfAs before one becomes a sysop, even for a highly qualified, coached, editor. Also, remember that while admin coaching will help you prepare for the mop, there is no guarantee that completing this program will ensure passage of an RfA.
Congratulations again, and happy editing. MBisanz talk 20:33, 25 February 2008 (UTC)

Hi there. I have seen that you use huggle by the fact that you have automatically updated the huggle white list(it does this when closing huggle). I was wondering if you would add the category [[Category:Wikipedians who use Huggle]] to your user page so that it fills out and we know who actually uses huggle. If you do not want to you do not have to. I am also sorry if i have already talked to you about this or you no longer use huggle but i sent it to everyone that has edited the page since mid January. I hope we can start to fill out this category. If you would like to reply to this message then please reply on my talk page as i will probably not check here again. Be More 'Civil' In Your Eddits Then
Random, pan-topic edits are far more unconstructive than amateur chiding. One tip would to be that sticking to subjects of which you might actually know something about, rather than jumping on every topic you see. Asides from spelling and grammar, I would presume professional editors do not make such sweeping and random edits unless they are aware of the subject matter at hand. Don't threaten me with being blocked again unless you have reviewed your own conduct editing this website. You should attmept some amount of discernment rather than using a 'Bot' to do the work for you. OoohOoohAaah (talk) 08:45, 4 March 2008 (UTC)
March 2008
Thanks for your note asking me to stop leaving a note with a subject matter Wikiproject referencing an AfD nom. You're right. That's the wrong thing to do as it gives the potential for votestacking. While I read "Do not message editors about AfD nominations because they support your view..." before I commented on my first AfD, I didn't interpret/recognize it as meaning WikiProjects. On those occasions when I did contact a WikiProject, I stated it in my AfD comment. I thought I was being helpful. On 3/2, I read on some AfD nom that it was posted to a topic page; that seemed like fair notice. So effective 3/2, I stopped leaving a notice with respective WikiProjects. (talk) 23:40, 5 March 2008 (UTC)}}
- Compwhizii, Please revisit your comments to me after you read this. I started on AfD on 2/25/2008, so it shouldn't be too difficult to verify that on those occasions when I left a message on a WikiProject Talk page: it was only once per AfD nom, each message was neutral (i.e. "opportunity to comment"), my AfD comment included mention of my WikiProject Talk page message. I look forward to hearing back from you. Coffee4me (talk) 00:19, 6 March 2008 (UTC)

Hello Compwhizii,
Please allow the link edited into this page as it relates directly to the development of mobile payments in the history of banking. Additional comments: They are not spam they are links to maps of the railroad at the Essex County Registry of Deeds. and links to the original plan of the Railroad. Why do say that they are links to spam? Read what they link to. Give me a call. I can explain further. —Preceding unsigned comment added by DavidBlackwell (talk • contribs) 23:50, 9 March 2008 (UTC) The Boston and Albany Railroad goes across several counties and cities. There is no good table of contents at the Registry of Deeds. People just get confused going to the one link. If you want you can move the references to the external link area, but I think it better in the references section. DavidBlackwell (talk) 00:21, 10 March 2008 (UTC) So can you please revert your revert. Thanks. DavidBlackwell (talk) 01:30, 10 March 2008 (UTC) You have reverted a reference that is clearly not vandalism, which is clearly a constructive addition and is related to the article. Regarding your quibble about the format, you could have edited out any non relevent links and try to explain why you thought it non relevant. Of course that requires that you read the article and think about it. Or you could have put the reference into an external links section. These references are valuable and needed. they show where the railroad was built and how the original survey was made in 1829. I think your revert borders on vandalism itself. I think you should admit that your bot is not working properly. Please explain yourself. DavidBlackwell (talk) 02:04, 10 March 2008 (UTC) |

Relisting and closing AfD debates
Hey Compwhizii,
I just wanted to stop by and let you know that when you relist debates, you should go ahead and comment out their transclusion on the existing log using standard HTML comments tags (<!-- -->
)--otherwise the discussion stays on the original log and is listed as open on WP:AFDO. Specifically, I noticed that you just relisted Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Out Da Darkness Of Da Kut and Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Carrom Federation of Sri Lanka on the current log without removing them from the old one. I'll go ahead and fix those for you, but please keep an eye out in the future.
Also, when closing a debate as you did here, it's generally recommended that you note your non-admin status in your closing statement (see WP:DELPRO#NAC). Thanks! --jonny-mt 03:53, 11 March 2008 (UTC)

Speculating on indefinite blocks
Hi Compwhizii. At a request for arbitration, this edit you made several days ago was mentioned. I apologise for bringing it up now, but at the time I remember thinking it was an unhelpful comment, and re-reading it has reinforced that impression. In particular, saying "I'm surprised your ass hasn't been indef blocked yet" is not at all helpful. Please, in future, do not speculate about indefinite blocking in that manner, particularly in the middle of a dispute. It does not help and only inflames things. Thanks. You only have to look at my edit and careful work and my contributions to see that my edit was not vandalism, should not have been reverted, and the reversion should have been explained. If someone reverts an appropriate improvement to an article, they should explain their reason for doing so. Asking this of another editor is not vandalism under any definition of the word. --Blechnic (talk) 01:19, 31 March 2008 (UTC)
- That revert was not mine. Thank you. CWii(Talk|Contribs) 01:20, 31 March 2008 (UTC)
- You're correct, what you reverted was my question of the reverter. If someone reverts an edit inappropriately, it is a good start to simply ask them why they did so. Your accusing me of vandalism for taking the obvious first step, asking for clarification, was closer to vandalism than my asking what was going on. --Blechnic (talk) 01:30, 31 March 2008 (UTC)
Vasojevići
I'd be gratefull for any explanation why my edit was reverted? There is a discussion page where I ask for reasoning behind these signs, strangely enough I can find no post from you... Reverting without explanation - THAT is vandalism.
If you think the article needs cleenup - suggest changes. If you think article need references, tell us what is wrong with the referencing that is already in the article. If you know nothing about the subject, please switch your attention somewhere else... I am sure you understand the difference between fighting vandalism and fighting for stagnation on wikipedia.
Just for your information below I paste links to articles dealing with the same subject: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Piperi_clan http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bjelopavli%C4%87i_%28clan%29 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ku%C4%8Di

If you are unfamiliar with the term please check it out in the dictionarry (no offence meant). I have asked you politely and calmely three times for a constructive approach, or in fact any reasoning of your reverts. And still you did not give me any answer. Therefore I am removing the sign from the article. And I will continue removing them so long as you do not explain your reverts. If you think that that is vadalism and my contribution to Wikipedia is not wanted feel free to ban me, or whatever else you can do. I will take steps from there. kind regards p.s. I took a look through your archive. Wow, it seems you are a recidivist
- Looks like you're a n00b. CWii(Talk|Contribs) 22:50, 4 April 2008 (UTC)
- Amazing... "No, you listen to me mister. The article needs formatting and clean up." Now, that is specific... "Looks like you're a n00b." Now, that is constructive (btw, yes I am a noob, so? I created the article from the scratch, that's a start). So for the forth time, I ask for reasoning. And, of course, I removing the sign. - "You are a n00b". Is that comment on content or people? Correct me if I am wrong but "It's a mess" is not specific for me. Drmiko (talk) 00:28, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
- Hi Drmiko. I think the main issue with the article is the Structure of the Vasojevići Tribe section - it contains some information that might not belong in an encyclopedia, like the lists of branches/brotherhoods, etc. Otherwise, the article mostly looks OK - thanks for your contributions! If you have any questions, you're welcome to ask them on my talk page. Regards, dihydrogen monoxide (H2O) 00:33, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
