Viacheslav Borshchev article
Hello CASSIOPEIA. Thank you very much for reviewing my article. I will do as much to find reliable supporting sources. The original article had exact same sources that I used, I was just trying to translate the original article which is in Russian to English and then add link of the translated article to the original one. I also left the link of the original article at the end. What could be done to make this article posted ? I made an attempt almost 7 month ago to do that but to no avail. Thank you! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nikolaykz (talk • contribs) 20:20, 18 June 2018 (UTC)
- Nikolaykz Hi good day. Please see comments I left on Draft:Viacheslav Georgievich Borshchev. Two things to be noted here.
- Борщёв, Вячеслав Георгиевич - Wiki RU verion - see here - [1]. Wiki sister language projects have different notability guidelines and requirements, and from my experience Wiki EN would considered the strictest. Thus this means the article is accepted and published in RU Wiki but not in EN Wiki as it fails the kickboxing notability requirements.
- You have copied and paste the RU Wiki into EN Wiki in translation. Do note to copy within wiki is permissible but not encouraged as it would be best to write the article in your own work with to consider the work is created by your as the original author. Secondly, using manchine translation at times might not be the best choice as human translation would be able to capture the right word choice, yntax sentence structure and etc. Lastly and most importantly, since you are NOT the original author and you NEED to pay proper attribution to original authors as the creator is Victoria GM - see [2].
- Please note no amount of editing and elegant prose in translation would merit a page in Wikipedia if the subject does not meet the notability Wikipedia guidelines.
- Let me know if anything else I would help. Have a good day. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 00:36, 20 June 2018 (UTC)

PPS article
Hello CASSIOPEIA. I have been having lots of trouble with editing the Parliamentary Protective Service (PPS) page. I work for PPS and have had to update our wikipedia page with the most current and reliable information. Unfortunately, even with proper references, my edits are not being saved. I equally have to translate the page to French and have had a hard time creating an info box for the new page. Thank you in advance!Nadia maras (talk) 15:43, 19 June 2018 (UTC)
- Nadia maras Hello, It might have saved you from being blocked if you had written to me earlier. You have been blocked indefinitely but I reply here as you should be still able to access to my talk page with an IP address to view this message. You are blocked indefinitely as your edits are deemed promotional/advertising of Parliamentary Protective Service page - see here Parliamentary Protective Service where you have been warned many times prior the block. You continued to edit in the same fashion as I believe you did not understand Wikipedia guidelines and did not read the warning messages on your talk page. Do note Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, which means is a summary of the collection of info from independent, reliable sources (secondary sources) where by the sources talk about the subject "directly" and just merely passing mention. Primary sources are not considered independent and reliable (note official web site, interview, press release, minutes/comminucations within the affected subject/org and etc are primary sources). Secondly, Wikipedia content needs to be written in neutral point of view and promotional content is not permissible. Lastly, since you work for Parliamentary Protective Service which means you have conflict of interest (COI) here. Wikipedia strongly discourage editors with COI editors to edit/add content to the affected pages as subjectivity would be an issue as you have done. Instead, you should place
{{request edit}}
on the article talk page and providing independent and reliable source (such as from newspaper) for a interest editor to help you on the task. If you read this message, kindly converse the above message to your colleague at work so they may know what to do if they would like edit on Parliamentary Protective Service page in Wikipedia. Thank you. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 01:28, 20 June 2018 (UTC)

Deletion - Draft:Daniel Bonjour
Hi,
thank you for taking the time to go over the article. I am just trying to figure out Daniel's notability. There are definitely more articles and stories about him in the New York times and online outlets. I've spoken to him before at Walking Dead conventions and I know he has lots of new projects - I would love to be the one that created this page. His costar from another movie, Rebekah Brandes has a wikipedia page, and she has less acting credits.
thank you,
Sarah — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2605:E000:601A:ED00:F01F:EA22:46C3:8FA3 (talk) 01:00, 22 June 2018 (UTC)
- 2605:E000:601A:ED00:F01F:EA22:46C3:8FA3 Hi, Greetings to you and thank you for you questions above. Since the page was created by IP user 2606:6000:61C6:2F00:4C1C:F331:7E80:57C7 and you wrote to me with another IP address, I am not sure you are the page creator of Draft:Daniel Bonjour, but I presume both IP address is the same user.
- Conflict of interest (COI)- as you mentioned you met and spoke to him on Walking Dead convention, and if you are in anyway affiliated with him then you have a conflict of interest (COI) here. In any way you are paid to write this article then you have a pay conflict of interest. If so you need to disclosed your COI in your user page and article talk page. To say that, Wikipedia strongly discourage a COI editor to edit/add content to the affected page as it is hard at times to write/edit the affected article with neutral point of view. Please visit here on how to disclose COI.
- Actor notability - if subject (Daniel Bonjour) meets Actor notability requirement than it would merit a page in Wikipedia. At currently stand Bonjour is not quite meet the requirement; however, you could find source that are reliable and independent from the subject with significant coverage and not merely passing mention, but 'directly' and talk about him in dept then it "might" meet the requirements. Please not primary source are not suitable such as interview pieces (even from reputable sources), IMBD/any user generated content (FB, blog,Twitter, home page). If you could find secondary source (major newspapers and reputable magazines), you would add the sources in and resubmit the draft again.
- Rebekah Brandes - Articles in Wikipedia are reviewed individually and one has a page does not mean their associates would deem to have a page as well - Wikipedia:Other stuff exists. To say that, there are thousands of articles should be deleted from Wikipedia, but they have not come to attention of the editors to propose them to be deleted. Do note even if a page has been accepted and publish in main space, it would still be subjected to be propose for deletion if the notability of the article subject is not firmly secured.
- I have left some comment on the draft article which you would pay a visit. I believe Bonjour would have a page in Wikipedia one day but the question is "when he meets the notablity requirements". Let me know if anything I could help further. Cheers. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 12:59, 22 June 2018 (UTC)
Which sock
Hi, I noticed your comment in the histmerge request at AA's talk page about SP. I was thinking the same: not sure yet if it's [3] or [4]. What do you think? Thanks, TMGtalk 11:56, 22 June 2018 (UTC)
- The Mighty Glen Hey,I think so, but only admins could check. Could get one of the admin to have a look if their are socks. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 12:10, 22 June 2018 (UTC)
- Well, you'd need a CU to check the IP's. You'd also need more evidence than there currently is, considering there's only a crossover on one article for both of those sockpuppets. (see [5] and [6]) I doubt it's a sock of Global-Hart, and it doesn't seem to fit the same editing style as VarunKhurana326 either. Vermont (talk) 13:47, 22 June 2018 (UTC)
- @Vermont and The Mighty Glen: Hi V thanks for the info and input. Cheers. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 14:31, 22 June 2018 (UTC)

Deletion page - Claude Darbos
Hello, why do you want to delete this page : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Claude_Darbos Here is the wikipedia French page : https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Claude_Darbos Should I correct this page with more links? Thanks, Advim Advim (talk) 16:01, 20 June 2018 (UTC)
- Advim Hi Good day and thank you for the question above. Please see below:
- Wikipedia sister pages (different languages) do had dfferent notability guidelines and policies. What is acceptable in FR Wiki might not be acceptable in EN Wiki.
- You have copied and pasted the content in translation from FR Wiki to EN Wiki. As you are not the original author in FR Wiki - see here [7], thus a proper attribution need to be paid to the article's authors in FR Wiki. I do strongly encourage you to write articles in your own words in the future.
- As per Wikipedia Rugby Union notability guidelines, Claude Darbos fails to meet the requirements as Mr Darbos played for US Dax, a Pro D2 club in France, and he has not competed in any Rugby World Cup, Rugby World Cup Sevens or Commonwealth Games match before.
- For a subject is not notable, no amount of editing would merit page in Wikipedia.
- I believe I have answered your question. Do drop by if anything needs to be discussed. Cheers. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 04:10, 21 June 2018 (UTC)
- Hello, thanks for the reply.
- Claude was finalist at the Top 14 so he meets the eligibility criteria. I do not understand your reasoning. thanks anyway :) Advim (talk) 22:27, 21 June 2018 (UTC)
- Advim Hi, I am not sure what you referred to "top 14"; however, do note rugby player notability requirements are based on either the player has played at least a match in Rugby World Cup, Rugby World Cup Sevens or Commonwealth Games either the player represents (1) one of the "High Performance Unions" nations (Argentina, Australia, British and Irish Lions, Canada, England, Fiji, France, Ireland, Italy, Japan, New Zealand, Romania, Samoa, Scotland, South Africa, Tonga, United States, and Wales) or (2) " Non-High Performance Unions nations" that have appeared at the World cup (Georgia (2003, 2007, 2011 and 2015), Ivory Coast (1995), Namibia (1999, 2003, 2007, 2011 and 2015), Portugal (2007), Spain (1999), Russia (2011),Uruguay (1999, 2003 and 2015), and Zimbabwe (1987 and 1991)). Being a junior player in US Dax doesnt not meet the requirement above. Secondly, You have might have conflict of interest (COI) affiliation as here [8] and [9], see as you are the manager of Claude Darbos's grandson, Paul Darbos, a social media personality, where his Wiki page has been deleted multiple times - see here [10]. Thank you. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 00:55, 23 June 2018 (UTC)

Hi User:CASSIOPEIA I Have a Question, How do i Become Semi-active on Wikipedia ? TheBigBoss3900 (talk) 06:43, 24 June 2018 (UTC)

- TheBigBoss3900 Well , as per your userpage , you want to become an admin . Active editors become admins , semi active editors do not . 07:14, 24 June 2018 (UTC)
- I just gave you some information , how much time you want to spend on Wikipedia is really up to you . Kpgjhpjm 07:14, 24 June 2018 (UTC)

MF Doom
Thank you for trying to keep Wikipedia free of vandalism. However, one or more edits you labeled as vandalism, such as the edit at MF Doom, are not considered vandalism under Wikipedia policy. Wikipedia has a stricter definition of the word "vandalism" than common usage, and mislabeling edits as vandalism can discourage editors. Please see what is not vandalism for more information on what is and is not considered vandalism. Thank you. 153.215.18.167 (talk) 12:19, 24 June 2018 (UTC)
- 153.215.18.167 hello, the tag was for removing of content. Do seek consensus on article talk page for content removal of BLP as per my previous message to you. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 12:25, 24 June 2018 (UTC)
- At my talk page, you labeled my constructive edits as vandalism. Why do you think ALLCAPS is justified at MF Doom? 153.215.18.167 (talk) 12:27, 24 June 2018 (UTC)
- Hello, you removed a big chunk of info multiple times, that is the warning all about, you have redone the ALLCAPS to sentence word, and it stays as I did not revert the last one. All good faith and constructive edits are welcome. Thank you. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 12:35, 24 June 2018 (UTC)
- You haven't explained why you persistently reverted my constructive edits. Revert only when necessary. You have capitalized the name at the article twice (1, 2) in violation of MOS:CAPS. Do you think it is appropriate?
- You claimed that I removed some content "without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary". However, as you can see in my edit summary, I already provided the reason for the removal. Before reverting my edits, you have to explain why you think the reason is not valid. 153.215.18.167 (talk) 12:53, 24 June 2018 (UTC)
- Hey, the message is automated from vandalism tool and I had left personal message to you on your talk page a number of times on letting you know on the content removal. You have done the proposal on talk page, and wait for interest editor to respond, takes what the consensus result agree upon. Cheers. (I might delay answering you from now as I am watching 2018 FIFA World Cup ENG vs PAN - just to let you know....) CASSIOPEIA(talk) 13:09, 24 June 2018 (UTC)
- Just provide a reason why you think this edit is vandalism. 153.215.18.167 (talk) 13:16, 24 June 2018 (UTC)
- the edit is not vandalism but the tool removed all edits from same user, it was your previous edit (remove of content) the message was meant for. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 14:15, 24 June 2018 (UTC)
- Then why did you use the vandalism tool? If other users' edits are part constructive and not vandalism, you should not use the vandalism tool. Don't blame the vandalism tool. 153.215.18.167 (talk) 14:18, 24 June 2018 (UTC)
- Tools are designed for their functions for we revert thousands of vandalism and non constructive edits, just as why I use excel/software application on number crunching on thousands of lines on multi work sheets linked across multi workbooks through multi servers across different regions of the world, instead using pen and paper to do my work and send the result via post. - You have keep on leaving some many messages for on my talk page and your talk page. I left massage to you prior. I am not here to warring with you nor cause displease. All suggest is to go to talk page and seek consensus agreement. As you know about Wikipedia, do leave edit summary on the edit summary for the Bot have not revert your edit and warn you on the first place. Maria Cristina Tavera
Hi Cassiopeia, Regarding your marking this page for speedy deletion because for copyright infringement- I looked at the comparisons between the sources that were marked and all of the things marked as "copyright infringement" were proper nouns, such as the names of organizations, places, and because this is an artist's page, the title of the exhibitions that her work has been included in. As proper nouns and titles cannot be edited or paraphrased, how do you advise dealing with this type of marked "infringement"? Thanks. Alizarinc8 (talk) 02:47, 26 June 2018 (UTC)
@Alizarinc8: Hi Greetings to you. Do agree, many are proper nouns and/however at the same time whole lots are identification from word to word and line by line. As there is no 'fix' how words an infringed is defined, for Wiki news is 4 identical consequent words in a row. However, to say that, I have chekced and removed the COV tag. Thank you for bringing this to my attention. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 03:02, 26 June 2018 (UTC)
Hi there,
I am having trouble with the notability guidelines- it seems to be the place where I am constantly held up. I notice that you left a message for me on the Draft:Em Rossi Page. There are a plethora of secondary, verifiable sources there, so I'm confused on what is missing. Any help or guidance you can provide would be appreciated.
Thank you! 375mon (talk) 00:20, 27 June 2018 (UTC)
- 375mon Hi Greetings. Content in Wikipedia need to back up and with significant coverage by independent, reliable source (secondary sources). Sources from newspaper and publications "directly" talk about the subject in "depth" but not mere passing mention where the claims could be verified would be ideal for such it could establish the notability requirements of the subject - please see Wikipedia musician requirements. The sources provided in the draft article are WP:PRIMARY sources where they are interview pieces , for such they are not suitable to satisfy the notability requirements. please visit the "source" section of the message titled 16:46:49, 28 May 2018 review of submission by Soniaang where I have outlined in a few sets of tables on source types, their definitions and source examples. Thank you. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 00:36, 27 June 2018 (UTC)
I am Ready
Hello it's me again. I just wanted to tell you that I am Ready to become an Administrator ! TheBigBoss3900 (talk) 03:48, 27 June 2018 (UTC) TheBigBoss3900 (talk) 03:48, 27 June 2018 (UTC)
- TheBigBoss3900 Hi Greetings to you. You have just joined Wikipedia less than 2 weeks and with only 64 edits todate. Answer on adminship has been answered here as I had mentioned on the message to you earlier. It is a little too soon. Continue the contribution and learn Wikipedia policies and guidelines at the meantime. have a good day. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 04:19, 27 June 2018 (UTC)
So I will have to have 1000 edits or more to be an admin ? TheBigBoss3900 (talk) 04:25, 27 June 2018 (UTC)
- TheBigBoss3900 Hi, I am not an admin but my understanding is that it is not only the number of edits one makes but one needs to have a good level of understanding of Wikipedia guidelines and policies, right call/vote based on Wikipedia guidelines in article for deletion discussions, helping counter vandalism, helping editors in help desks, good use of edit summary, having a clean/min block log, showing maturity, civility, good judgement, responsibility and avoiding edit warring, and among many other things. I applause your enthusiasm and I could point you to many links regarding adminship, but it does not serve the purpose here as it is too soon for you, instead concentrate learning editing and contribution to Wikipedia at this time would be more appropriate. In short, it take some years for most to reach the stage. It is the same to say a cadet needs years of training and experience to reach a commander position. Happy editing. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 05:31, 27 June 2018 (UTC)

Dru Bex Marked for Deletion
Hello CASSIOPEIA. I am new to creating wikipedia pages. Is the reason for the requesting the deletion of Dru Bex page due to the references sited? I have added some other references that aren't the artist website. — Preceding unsigned comment added by AWMullenTIG (talk • contribs) 02:37, 28 June 2018 (UTC)
- AWMullenTIG Hi Greetings to you. The subject of page does not meet the musician notability and the sources provided (considering the new sources provided) are are primary, marketing and interview piece. To merit a page in Wikipedia, the subject of the article need to meet Wikipedia notability requirement which the support of significant coverage from reliable sources that independent from the subject where verification can be done. Sources such as from major newspaper would be suitable.Thank you. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 08:44, 28 June 2018 (UTC)

Please click hide button on the top right of the pink button and see the parameters which you need to fill. Do place this on your talk page, on the article talk page and every edit you do on the affected talk page by indicating in the edit summary prior saving. You would do a dummy edit on the article (just put a empty space) and save the page and indicate "PAID editor here disclosing all the previous edits on this page" before saving. Once you have done all that, pls go to the COI notice board - here and let them know you have declared your PAID CIO in your talk page, article talk page and edit summary by providing the WP:DIFF (URL of the different edit) on the history page. Thank you. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 07:56, 30 June 2018 (UTC)

A question
I would be interested to know why you unreviewed Masoud Salavati Niasar? I checked him on Google Scholar (reference 1) and think he is certainly notable. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 17:05, 1 July 2018 (UTC)
- Cwmhiraeth Greetings to you and thank you for the question above. I reviewed the page about ten days ago and moved the page to Masoud Salavati Niasari (additional "i" at the end of "Niasar") as sources indicate Niasari and not Niasar - see [13] and [14]. However, the creator moved the page name back to Niasar. I wrote a message to the creator and waited for a week without reply. I checked unreviewed as the subject name is not the same as what the source claimed and would leave for other patrollers to take a look/review besides me. Cheers. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 18:24, 1 July 2018 (UTC)
- How strange that the creator changed the name back. Had I look at the article's history and the creator's talk page I would have understood your actions and not queried them. I did not realise that unreviewing an article with the page curation tool sent a message to the earlier reviewer. I notice this evening that an enthusiastic reviewer tagged Semicossyphus darwini, the article I had just started, as a stub before I had time to make my second edit! Cwmhiraeth (talk) 18:47, 1 July 2018 (UTC)
- Cwmhiraeth Hi, Just let know that your article went into NPP even thought you are an autopatroller editor as there is a bug at the moment - see here Discussed at Wikipedia:Village pump (technical)#Issue with auto-patrol?. Have a good day. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 19:14, 1 July 2018 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination - Ministry of Finance (UAE)
Hi there,
You have nominated the page 'Ministry of Finance, UAE' for speedy deletion. I would like to bring two things into your notice so you can review thinsg accordingly:
- The page has been created on behalf of the Ministry itself, so there are full permissions to use content from their website. However, content hasn't really been copied. It has been merely used as a source of information. I can even provide references other their website for the same information as it is available on the internet.
- Furthermore, the copyright report quoted in your notice doesn't indicate even 1% percent of copied text, so please elaborate on the issue to resolve it at the earliest. The page is being created with due permissions from the Ministry and it is the Federal Ministry of UAE so its of highest importance. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sana Amjad Kiyani (talk • contribs) 08:10, 3 July 2018 (UTC)
- Sana Amjad Kiyani Greetings to you. Since you created the page on behalf of Ministry, that means you have a paid conflict of interest (COI) and need to disclosure the COI here WP:COIPAYDISCLOSE. Please note Wikipedia strongly discourage editor with COI to edit/add the affected page.
- The infringement of the copy right is more than 1 % for it reflect the texts of pink tag (CSD G12 tag) as the content of the page has been removed.. The page has been deleted by admin - pls see HERE. Please note Wikipedia takes copy right violation VERY SERIOUSLY as it entails legal implication. Kindly write content in your own words next time. Thank you. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 18:07, 3 July 2018 (UTC)
Dear Cassiopeia - Draft:Gowrie, New South Wales - page stalkers pls help if possible
I am editing the entry for "Gowrie, NSW" and wish to add a locality box similar to the one use on "Duri, NSW" in the same position (top right. Keaorr (talk) 03:06, 4 July 2018 (UTC) Regards keaoo
- Hi Keaorr, Good day. Please find Settlement template here -Template:Infobox settlement and the coordinate template here -Template:Coord, along with the associate parameters in the pages.Thank you. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 05:23, 4 July 2018 (UTC)
- Thank you, I have introduced the Settlement template, however I note that other surrounding localities such as "Calala NSW" appear to have sub-categories such as "LGAs" "State Electorates" "Federal Subdivisions" each of these link to a wiki page on that subject - how do I incorporate these into a locality?Keaorr (talk) 00:30, 5 July 2018 (UTC)keaorr
- Hi Keaorr, I am not sure and need to investigate first. I will be in intercontinental transit in next few hours and would be off the line for next 24 hours or so. If any of my talk page stalkers see this message and could help (especially if you are an Australian), please assist away. Thank you. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 05:26, 5 July 2018 (UTC)
Blackout notices at WP:VPR
None of the blackout notices you've been linking to with the label "Here is the English text of the [language] blackout notice" are actually the English versions. I take it you've been cut-and-pasting from Pigsonthewing's edit here, which actually is?
Also, at least the Hungarian and Slovenian links are just to the front pages of their respective Wikipedias, not to permanent pages, so they won't make sense anymore in a day or two when the banners at the top go away. —Cryptic 23:28, 4 July 2018 (UTC)
- Cryptic Hi, greeting to you. Yes I did. I put up just to inform the voters of what have happened. Are you suggesting to take to remove them or to correct them? CASSIOPEIA(talk) 23:33, 4 July 2018 (UTC)
- Mostly you shouldn't be saying you're linking to the English texts of the notices when you're actually linking to Latvian, Estonian, etc. texts. —Cryptic 23:35, 4 July 2018 (UTC)
- Cryptic Hi, Ok, will correct them at once. Thank you. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 23:37, 4 July 2018 (UTC)

it seems to me that you are an active wikipedian and i notify that until the page is properly cited let it be a mainspace article with the info .
let's work on it together and help wikipedia to be a better place.
earlier (when i 1st tried to publish this) u mentioned that to notify some famous persons having the surname. now i did that as well.
the basic problem is that the history of many things aren't discussed on the net and as a part of my initiative i started with wikipedia .
i plea for your initiative

Your initial Draft:Sinha Roy was moved to draft - see here User talk:Dr. Sroy#Sinha Roy- moved to Draft:Sinha Roy and had informed your to cite sources on March 6, 2018. You recreate the same article without improved/ provided source, and further removed the PRODs without provided source yet again. multiple independent reliable source with inline citation are needed to determine the if notability has met. Recent changes
- WebM video files have smaller file size but still be of the same quality. Creating WebM files will take longer time. [17]
- The new filters for edit review tools and interface for watchlists will leave beta. This was supposed to already have happened but was delayed. For most wikis this will happen on 9 July. For the rest it will happen on 16 July. [18]
- All wikis now use the Remex parsing library instead of Tidy. This could cause errors. You can help fix the errors. [19]
Problems
- When you rolled back an edit it could get both the
Rollback
andUndo
tags. This has been fixed. [20] - Rollbacks from autopatrolled users were not marked as patrolled. This has been fixed. [21]
Changes later this week
- When you edit a link in the visual editor there will be two separate buttons to change which page the link goes to (target) or its text (label). [22][23]
- On the mobile version you can find a link to an editor's contributions from their user page. Now this will work even if they haven't created a user page. [24]
- When you edit a discussion on the mobile version you sometimes get your signature automatically added. This will now not happen if you have already added a signature manually. This is to avoid double signatures. [25]
- Structured discussions toolbars will have more style options. [26]
- When you look at Wikimedia code in Gerrit there will be a new interface. It is on by default for new users. This is also true for developers. This is to make it easier to understand what is happening. [27]
- The new version of MediaWiki will be on test wikis and MediaWiki.org from 10 July. It will be on non-Wikipedia wikis and some Wikipedias from 11 July. It will be on all wikis from 12 July (calendar).
Meetings
- You can join the next meeting with the Editing team. During the meeting, you can tell developers which bugs you think are the most important. The meeting will be on 10 July at 18:30 (UTC). See how to join.

Future changes
- Today all administrators can edit CSS and JavaScript for the entire wiki. There will be a new user group for editing CSS and JavaScript. Administrators will no longer automatically be able to do this. This is because it is a security risk when all administrator accounts can edit JavaScript even if they never plan to or do not know how it works. You can read more. [28]
- Page previews will be on by default for new accounts. [29]

As an answer to your question, yes. I mean I don't know the draftspace rules. So please publish whenever appropriate. Psubrat2000 (talk) 21:57, 10 July 2018 (UTC)
- Psubrat2000 Hi, Your article was moved to draft space - (Draft:Saman Kunan instead of Saman Kuman) because the there was not a single sourced provided. Since then sources have been provided; however, since the subject is part of the Tham Luang cave rescue incident, and this title/subject Saman Kunan has been redirect to Tham Luang cave rescue. If you want you would expand the page on Tham Luang cave rescue instead. Thank you. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 02:22, 11 July 2018 (UTC)
Weight
Some of your edits may not be intended. For example, Cláudia Gadelha used to say:
- Weight 115 lb (52 kg; 8 st 3 lb)
If your edit (diff) had worked, it would have displayed:
- Weight 115 lb (52 kg; 8.2 st)
I would have thought that 8 st 3 lb was wanted. Use stlb
(not st
) to show stones and pounds. The convert was added to the weight_lb
field and so failed because that item expects only the number of pounds. No problem, just wanted to make sure you are aware of this. Johnuniq (talk) 03:47, 11 July 2018 (UTC)
- Johnuniq Hi thanks, just noticed the template spec on this. Cheers. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 04:02, 11 July 2018 (UTC)

Draftifying - user talk page message
Hallo, Because I'd stub-sorted Plicometer and created its talk page I had it on my watch list so see that you have draftified it to Draft:Plicometer. I had a look at the message you left on the user talk page. Is this a standard template, or your own wording? I don't understand the phrase "... please follow the confirms on the Articles for Creation template atop the page
", and I suspect that many other editors wouldn't either. Could you please use a clearer message - or, if it's a standard template, let me know what it is so that I can go and discuss on the template talk page. Perhaps "... please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button
" would be the clearest wording? Thanks. PamD 16:53, 13 July 2018 (UTC)
- Hi PamD Good day. the message on the user page is standard template wording for page move #R2 - move to draft. The template message merely point to the grey panel on top of the draft page. I do agree that the wording could be modify as I found it is a little unclear as well when I read the template message on the first encounter sometime back. Perhaps we could suggest the change of wording and seek mass editors consensus should they agree. Thoughts? cheers. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 03:28, 14 July 2018 (UTC)
- I can't find anything at the link you gave which says anything about the template message. Do you use one or other of the two draftifying Scripts listed at Wikipedia:Page_mover#Draftifying, and if so which one? Neither of them tells us, in their documentation, what wording of message they leave, so I can't see where the "... follow the confirms ..." has come from. PamD 18:58, 14 July 2018 (UTC)
- On another point - please remember that by moving something to draft you are wasting any effort editors may have put into creating redirects from alternative titles (particularly important for personal names where someone may have created redirects from a lot of plausible variations of middle names, initials, birth names, etc). Unless the article is something so bad that its existence seriously damages the encyclopedia, it might be more useful to tag it with your concerns while leaving it in name-space and unreviewed, so that interested editors can have a chance to improve it. If an article is draftified and then later moved back to name space, those redirects won't be re-created automatically but will depend on a redirect-minded editor turning up to create them. There were two incoming redirects to Plicometer, which have now been deleted. A pity.
- Perhaps there should in an ideal world be an automatic system whereby when an article is moved to draft space a note is made in its talk page of any incoming redirects, so that if it is moved back to main space the information is there from which to re-create them? But for the moment, please take this factor into account when deciding to move something to draft. Thanks. PamD 19:07, 14 July 2018 (UTC)
- And a further thought about draftifying: if an article is proposed for PROD or AFD it will be listed on the alerts page for the relevant wikiproject(s). If it just disappears into draftspace, I don't think that the projects with banners on its talk page will be notified, will they? Again, losing scope for interested parties, other than the page creator, to be alerted to the draftification and brought in to improve the article. PamD 19:09, 14 July 2018 (UTC)
- PamD Good day. Here is template documentation for "move to draft (not a standard template but a script to download comes with use right) and you could see the message wording on the source code Here - read texts User Evad37 would be the editor to contact to change the wording. We could see message to them at the talk page Here. ping me when you request the wording change - thanks in advance.
- We the reviewers move NPP page to draft for the reasons, usually, because they are unsourced or only provide homepage of the subject which means the article is not ready to exist in mainspace. See Those article are usually created by recent auto-confirmed editors but have no idea how to a sourced and/or what subject need to be notable which the article should move to draft, so they would work and improve the draft page and submit the draft for review where by the reviewers in AfC would comments and provide reasons and links to help them along. When the draft page meet the requirements, then the article will be published. This is a better way, instead just PROD. We could send to CSD if the article or draft article violate copyvio or strictly promotion. When the article move to draft, the article in the mainspace is deleted. I tag unreferenced from time to time and I help to find sources and add them in on article I am familiar or would be find in EN internet. If just place unreferenced tag, it will not be accept in review anyway as an article exists in mainsspace should be notable. In addition, very rarely, editors would come along just to provide references, plus the new editor should learn independent reliable should be provided as it is the burden to demonstrate verifiability lies with the editor who adds or restores material. BLP unsouced BLP would giving the creator a chance to provide independent reliable within 7 days. Non BLP PROD usually, we think it will not survive a AfD. We send an article to AfD, when we have done a WP:BEFORE and think it might not survive through AfD but would seek other editors for input through discussion of the nomination. From my experience more than 80% nomination in AfD articles would be deleted. Cheers Pam and thank you. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 20:08, 14 July 2018 (UTC)
Please explain your problem with my edit - Teach the Controversy
I simply was removing biased statements. It's my understanding that an article is supposed to be neutral. Feel free to contact me at poemsandprayers@aol.com LordFluffington454 (talk) 23:22, 14 July 2018 (UTC)
- LordFluffington454 Hi, Greetings to you. I believe user C.Fred has explained to you on your talk page. I would just go over a few things - if a link is dead], please dont remove the content but tag dead link instead. Secondly, It if is well sourced, content should not removed even it might not sound favour to certain group /people such this one where you deleted the content. Should you want to present opposite view for balance of view then you would add the content in as long as it content is supported by independent, reliable secondly source. For any content might seem controversial, please go to the article talk page and discuss the issues and seek consensus agreement of the out come. If you have any others questions, pop by again. Hi CASSIOPEIA,
I'm the chap who edited the listing for South Kyme; specifically the tower entry. I visited there the other month, and whilst I was parked up on the grass, I happened upon the land owner who chatted to me about some of the history of the tower. I couldn't recall it all, but what limited memory I did have of the conversation, I thought pertinent to add to Wikipedia.
Thanks,
Richard — Preceding unsigned comment added by Richard gegan (talk • contribs) 12:12, 16 July 2018 (UTC)
- Richard gegan Hi Good day. I appreciate your question and want to include the info into South Kyme; however, Wikipedia guidelines indicates content added need to be supported by independent reliable secondary source. Information obtain from the own is primary source and it is considered not independent. If you find source to support that then you may add them in. Thank you. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 11:48, 17 July 2018 (UTC)
Hey, Cassiopeia!
So, this is definitely a delayed response, but this is concerning my Ron Burman article. I think I misread your comment on https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Ron_Burman earlier and I just wanted to clarify something.
So, while the Billboard article definitely is passing mention, that's not the only source that I included regarding his work with Nickelback. His AllMusic credits show that he worked as A&R with the band for five consecutive releases, from their discovery up until 2011, as well as on numerous other commercially successful projects. That would support the notability that I mentioned, and comes from an independent, secondary source. With that, would that change your view on the page?
Thanks, HeartGears
User:Heartgears (talk) 1:42 PM, 17 July 2018 (EST)
- Heartgears Hi, Greetings to you. Ron Burman page was nominated by me for AfD (article for deletion) discussion, and the result from input of other editors was deleted - see here. Please note to merit a page in Wikipedia, subject needs to demonstrate it passes the notability criteria and in this case is WP:CREATIVE or WP:ANYBIO. The criteria could be demonstrate in the content added whereby it is supported by independent reliable secondary sources with signification coverage / multiple sources where by the subject is talk about in depth in the source articles. Normal listing / random coverage / interviews (even they from independent reliable source such as New York Times/ The Guidance newspaper are considered NOT independent as info are from subject himself) / home page / press releases, any source which affiliated with the subject (such as subject was written by or source was provided by his marketing team, his colleagues/ stuff/ associates/partners and etc) and etc. If he has works with 5 reputable bands whose were signed by reputable recording companies and you could provide multiple (at least 3) sources (reliable, independent secondary sources) then it would very high possible (we need to see the source and its content first) that would pass the notability requirements. See here for the definition of notability, source types and examples for your reference - see message on "Request on 15:31:34, 22 June 2018 for assistance on AfC submission by SazidKabir". Thank you.
