Hi, I appreciate the diligence, but do you have professional insights and or accreditation in literature since you are removing content in articles on literature or is this just a hobby of yours? You should know that in literary criticism postmodern and other schools have very differing views so its not nearly as open shut a case to provide "sources" on everything without years of paid work, but I can assure you that within literary circles the correspondence between both Tolstoy and Gorky is so well known that what you are asking is akin to asking people to provide "proof" and sources for Winnie the Pooh having been written by A.A. Milne. I do not wish to insult you but at the same time I need Wikipedia "admins" to acknowledge or at leats bring to town better arguments than "you did not provide any links sourcing that the earth is not flat" before removing simple information that is so basic that anyone within the field would accept it. As it stands there is zero information on this book other than its publishing date and other trivialities and if you want western works of art to be referred to like this in the worlds biggest encyclopedia it is fine by me. But I will not contribute another sentence if blatantly obvious facts keep being deleted because of "lack of proof" on this level. It's akin to asking me to prove that Gorky wrote the book itself or that Tolstoy had extensive communications with him and even incited him to his farm - to me it feels like asking for a source that Churchill was married to his wife or that Roosevelt ever spoke to his. If you feel any of the facts I have provided are in dispute - feel free to note so as a due criticism of the input - if not, I pity future generations for the level of ignorance they have to face. Good luck in dumbing down the population. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 178.232.146.234 (talk) 15:17, 14 July 2018 (UTC)

178.232.146.234 Greetings to you and kindly calm down. First of all we would like to thank you on your contribution in Wikipedia. Secondly, my talk page is stalked by other editors and some of them are Wikipedia admins, so should anything I write here not adhere to Wikipedia guidelines or policies (either by mistakes, no knowledge of, interpret the guidelines or policies wrongly or injecting my opinions rather than Wikipedia's guidelines/policies) someone will point them out to me on the this talk page. Thirdly, I do not have a professional insights and or accreditation in literature (maybe you do, I do not know), but merely two American literature courses amount to six credits as part the curriculum of my university degree I earned in Unites States, plus I read maybe close to 90-100 western classic and modern classic literature for the past 15 years in my spare time or when I in transit on my business trips. Even though with all the reading, I apology in advance of my poor command of English as I am multi lingual (not really have a mother tongue like most people and I have a mild Irlen syndrome condition). So kindly be patient and ask me to explain again if anything is unclear.
Wikipedia is an encyclopedia and info added is not only meant for scholar or specific professionals with great insight but for all general public in the world. It might be a known fact to all historians the mighty Roman Empire was once threaten by Hannibal and brought Roman Empire to its knee for many years, yet many people would not know of this period of Second Punic War history. As many would know who was Thomas Edison but for most are not aware of who Nikola Tesla was even though he was a genius on his own right on Alternating current. The same as many would know that The Thinker was the work by Auguste Rodin, but only some would know who was Camille Claudel, student, muse and lover of Rodin, who also a talented sculptor and her early work is similar to Rodin's in spirit.
Wikipedia guidelines indicates that content added/changed in Wikipedia needs to support by independent, reliable secondary sources for verification and content added should reflect what on the source, and no other interjection of info/opinions that no found in the source. In regardless, and in the event of, the incident is well known by general public or it has happen to you or you witness it yourself, if it is not published by by a reliable source which is independent from the subject (such as major newspaper like New York Times, Washington post, Guidance, or by reputable academic journals/reviews) that would considered not verifiable. In Wikipedia, it is NOT about the truth but of the verifiability of the source - pls see Wikipedia:But it's true!. Is is the similar concept as how we write a theses in university where by inline citations are needed on body text (I am not talking bout original research here for it is not an independent source). Please check out Wikipedia:The answer to life, the universe, and everything if I have not explained or covered on the above. Thank you. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 16:40, 14 July 2018 (UTC)

sources

Can you tell me what other sources I should use..? Is ufc.com and sherdog not reliable enough. This keeps getting sent to draft space, and I do the things you tell me to do and it gets sent here again. All my sources are solid and reputable in the mma community. I’m a fan of ufc for 15 years, I know what I’m talking about, do you? Castro13 (talk) 17:48, 16 July 2018 (UTC)

Please let me know what mma sites I’m allowed to use Castro13 (talk) 17:53, 16 July 2018 (UTC)

Castro13 Hi Greetings to you. It is good to know that you are a Wikipedia editor who is a fan of UFC for 15 years and would have insight the world of MMA. I am also a fan of UFC for almost 10 years and do watch most of the fights traced back to UFC 1. Personally, I hang around the dojo when I was young watching my sister trained, who was 3 times Taekwondo national champion and I train in BJJ and Muay Thai. In that regards, I do have a little knowledge of martial arts and UFC.
Wikipedia is after independent reliable secondary sources. Tapology is a source we considered routine listing of fight info. UFC is not independent source as it the subject is related to the company. Souces such as mma fighting and mma mma are reliable, independent which are secondary sources. You would find sources such as MMA Junkie, MMA News, Bloody Elbow, MMA Mad, MMA Viking (Nordic), MMA DNA (Dutch), In The Cage (Poland), ESPN, any major newspapers and etc would be good sources to use. The thing is the subject is not yet notable at this stage. WP:MMABIO A MAA fighter needs to have fought at least 3 fights in the tier one organisation to deem the subject pass the notability to merit a page in Wikipedia. At the current stage Pena has only 1 fight (UFC TUF 27 Finale). Those fights in the TUF 27 house are not considered UFC fight event. Pena will be notable very soon as I believe he would fight at least another this year if not 2 times, if not by early next year he would have fought 3 fights in UFC and he would be notable by then. The draft page is kept for 6 months in Wikipedia system, so when the time is right, add the additional content and provided source and it will be accepted and have a page in Wikipedia.
Thank you. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 12:05, 17 July 2018 (UTC)

Draft:Bruce W. Pepich continue to try and convince you of notoriety

Dear CASSIOPEIA; I am not sure how to convince you of this persons importance to the world of "contemporary American crafts". First, what I think is obvious is, the requests he has gotten for jury positions on the most prestigious jury awards must speak to his notoriety. The institution presenting the Louis Comfort Tiffany Foundation grant recipients is one of the most important awards made each year. The news was picked up by the important agencies and museum journals dealing in American crafts. He has juried more than 130 national competitions, he has been interviewed by many organizations, given lectures to institutions within and outside the USA. One of the Wikipedia persons is Karen Johnson Boyd who appears to be in Wiki because she was a billionaire but also because she was a pioneer in the collecting of American crafts. She lived in Racine and early on formed a relationship with Bruch Pepich and the two of them created from a tiny fine arts museum the Racine Art Museum with the largest collection of contemporary craft pieces in the USA. In part, this museum was made possible by Johnson Boyd's faith and trust in Pepich who directed and curated over 1700 objects of art that Johnson Boyd donated over a 30 year period. Pepich took the job as project director at Charles Wustum Museum of Fine Arts upon graduation from college and soon after started to create an image of a broader more dynamic museum for an industrial city in the Midwest. Johnson Boyd was a kindred spirit and the two of them create a beautiful museum of fine contemporary crafts in downtown Racine and Pepich has been recognized as he expert, and distinguished scholar in contemporary craft by his peers. Compare his accomplishments to a Wiki person currently with a profile who has much less exposure and reputation - Namita Gupta Wiggers. I am going to keep trying to affect this entry as just his jury panel requests are a sign of his reputation and respect in this field. thanks for further consideration.Ramfan101 (talk) 17:15, 17 July 2018 (UTC)Penny McGuire

Ramfan101 Good day. First of all please read WP:Your First Article and referencing for beginners and follow the guidelines and instructions indicated. I have added {{reflist}} under "References" section. Once you have done the inline citations on the body text then the references would appear under the "References" section. Please remove all info on "sources" section and add them in body text. For any achievements, make sure they are well reference. See here for the definition of notability, source types and examples for your reference - see message on "Request on 15:31:34, 22 June 2018 for assistance on AfC submission by SazidKabir". Once you have done all the above, then pop back there on my talk page, and I will have a look at it. Thank you. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 08:10, 18 July 2018 (UTC)

why has the makwan page been changed again???? he isn't Iranian which part of this dont you guys understand. — Preceding unsigned comment added by NINJACLAN222 (talkcontribs) 01:47, 18 July 2018 (UTC)

NINJACLAN222 Greetings to you. I am not sure which Makwan you referred to, and I would assume you meant Makwan Amirkhani here. Should I assume wrongly, kindly advise. According to the sources Here and Here, Amirkhani was born in Iran of a Kurdish heritage and he and his family fled to Finland during the Iran-Iraq War in the 80's. He is a Finnish by citizen since he as been living there for a long time and adopted Finland as his country, but whether he still holds a Iranian passport, I do not know as I have yet to come across any sources to claim such or indicates Amirkahni has renounced his Iranian citizenship willingly or force to do so due to political reasons. As such, the text on Makwan page indicates he "is Iranian-born Finnish national mixed martial artist" is correct as per sources. It is common for editors to dispute a fighter nationality/heritage especially those who born in one country and migrated to another with different ethnicity of their adopted country, such as Mark Hunt, Robert Whittaker, Alistair Overeem, Francis Ngannou, Kamaru Usman, Damir Hadžović, and etc. Some fighters hold both nationality status and some dont, and for those who hold both citizenships, some hold their adopted country close at heart, but some dont. What Wikipedia would go by is the content is supported by sources for how it is verified. I believe I have answered your question above. If not, please let me know what else I could help. Thank you. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 05:01, 18 July 2018 (UTC)
Nice to meet you bud. The issue is Makwan isn't Iranian. He's a Kurd. Where he was born is a Kurdish city (Kermanshah) it has Kurdish people manly like it's known as a Kurdish city. He moved to Iraq then from Iraq to Finland. If he lifted the Iranian flag then without a doubt you could put Iranian mma fighter, but because he is a Kurd and lifts the Kurdish flag he should be known as Kurdish mma fighter. The blood going through him is Kurdish blood. — Preceding unsigned comment added by KURDISTAN2 (talkcontribs) 13:01, 18 July 2018 (UTC)
NINJACLAN222 and KURDISTAN2 Hi, According to the above source, he was born in Iran of the time of his birth 1988 in Kermanshah, the largest Kurdish city in the western part of Iran that made him a born Iranian of Kurdish heritage and not a Iranian with Persian heritage. This would be the same as Gegard Mousasi who was born in Iran of Armenian heritage or Mark Hunt who is a of Samoan descent, but born in New Zealand and so are millions of Chinese who are US citizen but who were born somewhere else or Indians born in Africa or who are German ethnicity background born in Argentina. In term of nationality of your birth country it is that "country" you were born in. My understanding is Kurdistan is yet to be recognized as a official country even thought they have close to 40 foreign relations with other coutries. Kurdistan is region encompassing in a location in Turkey, Iran, Iraq and Syria where Kurdishs have their own culture and seeking for independence for some years now.[1][2][3][4][5]
If you want, you could add he is Iranian-born Finnish of Kurdish heritage national mixed martial artist if you like and do indicate in the edit summary stating "content added is supported by existing source" and past the source on the edit summary would be better. I hope I believe I have answered your question. Cheers. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 13:22, 18 July 2018 (UTC)

Draft:Zeroqode - Request on 12:49:26, 17 July 2018 for assistance on AfC submission by Tanya ZQ

Hey, Cassiopeia!

I really need your help, because this is first time I am posting on Wikipedia and it is lasting for a long time(~6 months). And I can't understand where exactly is a problem. I deleted all resources that are not linked with Zeroqode or not provided necessary information. I've looked at the another organization pages, for example, wix.com to make Zeroqode page almost the same. And again this was not successful.

Could you please highlight those problem references which causes failure?

Thank you very much!

Eager19: Dear Cassiopeia, I have already improved DRAFT:CHARITON CHARITONIDIS. I won‘t make any other revisions before I receive your review or approval. Please take a look :) Thank you. Eager19 (talk) 09:26, 15 July 2018 (UTC)

Eager19 Hi Good day. I have seen you have improved the draft article. Since all new info added are in printed Greek language on "Bibliography" section, I am not but I think it was Charitondis' works. If so, then changed the Bibliography to Book publication. In article there should be only one section References (I have added Reflist under References for you. Remove the "source section". All inline citation will appear in References section. As of now, the notability still have not been establish. You need to find source that talk about Chariton Charitonidis as your content claim in the introduction and book published. Any reviews from major journal/newspaper about the subject or the subject works would do.(Make sure you cite the sources in the body text (inline citation). Thank you. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 09:59, 15 July 2018 (UTC)
CASSIOPEIA Hi again. According to my latest revisions, there are now three independent inline references. The bibliography section was split into "Books" and "Articles". The author name in front of the entries was removed because it was misleading, for that matter. The "Sources" section was also removed according to your suggestions. The article should be extended with more details, but now you have a comprehensive first version that is readable (at least for people who can read Greek). Eager19 (talk) 12:50, 15 July 2018 (UTC)
Eager19, Well, Since all the source are in Greek and in print format, I could not get them translated to know that the content/topics are. He was the author of the "Books and Articles", then change to Publications instead Bibliography. Put this "See search results for "Chariton Charitonidis" in the library of the Aristotle University in Thessaloniki" under External link (new section). The 2 of the citations seems from slides from some university. All three sources not not considered WP:RS. They need to from some independent reliable (secondary source) books/journal/newspaper talk about subject directly and exclusively. The subject seems notable, all you have to do is to find 3 source to support that. Thank you. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 13:02, 15 July 2018 (UTC)
CASSIOPEIA Hello Cassiopeia, I think I have now correctly entered all three inline references you wanted. Now there are three references: one from an Encyclopedia, one from a newspaper, and one from a journal. May I ask you to take a look at the draft to tell me whether all things are fine? All references are spelled out in English. Thanks.Eager19 (talk) 18:55, 16 July 2018 (UTC)
Eager19 Hi good day. I have a look at your 2 new source. see be below comments:
  1. Article for Chariton Charitonidis by Αλέξης Σαββίδης in the Journal Νέα Εστία, no. 1600, p. 335 (1994, in Greek) - could not access
  2. Article by Ολγα Σελλα about the members of the Academy of Athens in the Newspaper Καθημερινή (17/10/2007, in Greek) - Chariton Charitonidis is just passing mentioned and not talk about him in dept. We need article that is "directly talk about him in detail.
Thank you. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 11:38, 17 July 2018 (UTC)
CASSIOPEIA Hello Cassiopeia, the second reference by Αλέξης Σαββίδης works fine in all browsers that I use (Safari, Chrome, Firefox). You should wait a little bit longer for complete interface loading. Please note that this second reference gives a lot of usefull information about Chariton Charitonidis together with the information that he became a member of the Academy of Athens. The membership in the Academy of Athens is mentioned in the first paragraph of the first reference as well. Overall, we could despense with the third reference (Article by Ολγα Σελλα) - I have now removed this third reference altogether.Eager19 (talk) 13:49, 17 July 2018 (UTC)
CASSIOPEIAI added a reference that does not have an online source: "Entry for Chariton Charitonidis in the encyclopedia Νέα Ελληνική Εγκυκλοπαίδεια Χάρη Πάτση, vol. 22, p. 448 (1975, in Greek)". All three references appear now in chronological order (see the reference numbers at the end of the introductory text). They offer independent evidence for the information dispayed.Eager19 (talk) 20:26, 17 July 2018 (UTC)
Eager19 Hi, Eager19. I still could not access this source] where I tried multiple times via chrome and Internet Explorer and waited for some minutes in hope the site could be connected. I am not sure what the problems are as it is rarely I encountered such issues. The new source provided is in printed Greek. Even if I could find the printed book in the resources help desk, I would not able get it translated easily and unfortunately, I dont read Greek. Since the draft is in the pool of being reviewed, let us wait for other reviewers who could access your ekebi.gr source and who could understand Greek to make the judgement call of the notability of the subject. Thank you. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 05:56, 18 July 2018 (UTC)
Hello Cassiopeia, as already written the link works in all browsers. Sometimes one has to wait half of a minute or longer until the page loads. I have a question: I put the same links with the same numbers in the Greek version of the article:
https://el.wikipedia.org/wiki/%CE%A7%CE%B1%CF%81%CE%AF%CF%84%CF%89%CE%BD_%CE%A7%CE%B1%CF%81%CE%B9%CF%84%CF%89%CE%BD%CE%AF%CE%B4%CE%B7%CF%82
This Greek version is observed by a Greek user group. Is it possible to send a message to this group for examining my references and give a feedback? Thanks Eager19 (talk) 07:59, 19 July 2018 (UTC)

Eager19 Hi, Greek (EL) Wikipedia is one sister projects of Wikipedia. All language sister projects have their own structure and guidelines which are independent from each other. For such, EL Wikipedia would not able to review the articles in EN Wikipedia and same the other way around. We EN Wikipedia do accept sources from any languages; however, sometimes it is little difficult to obtain the printed book source and it is a little hard to get it translated as compared to source from internet/digital version. If yoou would provide additional source from internet that would help. Thank you. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 09:05, 19 July 2018 (UTC)

cassiopeiaI've spent so many hours searching for online independent references for the person referred to. There are of course many other sources in print journals, etc. - the problem is that these sources are not yet digitalized by Greek authorities. I stop seeking any further and - as you suggested - let us wait for other reviewers to validate the links. Eager19 (talk) 12:40, 19 July 2018 (UTC)
Eager19 Hi, I am sorry that I cant help without the knowledge of the language. We have a pool of reviewers working on reviewing the AfC articles and someone would come around and check on your article. Have a good day. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 13:01, 19 July 2018 (UTC)

Hi. Just wondering if you have any further thoughts on this draft since yesterday. — Frayæ (Talk/Spjall) 14:24, 19 July 2018 (UTC)

Frayae Hi Greetings. I have a look and almost all the sources provided are merely passing mention of the subject in the and the only one talk directly is the Hindu Times but it is a interview piece which means it is not independent source. Do note subject notability is whereby content is supported by independent, reliable secondary sources in significant coverage which the source talk directly in dept of the subject and not passing mentioned. Please check the if the subject meets the nobility of WP:MUSICBIO as no amount of editing that would merit a page in Wikipedia. Thank you. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 06:25, 20 July 2018 (UTC)
Well my initial assessment was it either met or was close to meeting WP:MUSICBIO #1 and perhaps helped by a claim to #10. The Hindustan Times report may or may not meet the requirements for independance. I never can tell with these things. But I think the point is moot because according to The Times of India:

The second track to be released was the optimistic song 'Kar Har Maidan Fateh'. The vein in which the song is sung suits the theme of the film perfectly where Ranbir as Sanjay Dutt is seen struggling with his addictions. While similar songs have been a staple of most Raju Hirani films, this one sounds fresh and is arranged by another relatively new composer Vikram Montrose, with some poignant lyrics penned by Shekhar Astitwa. It is the second song from the film on the charts, which debuted at number seven.

And does this not meet #2 of the guideline? — Frayæ (Talk/Spjall) 09:54, 20 July 2018 (UTC)
Frayae Greetings. Do note notability needs to support by significant coverage and and talk about the subject in dept and not merely passing mention or part of th story of the sourced article, and at the current stage the page does not show that to pass WP:MUSICBIO #1 and #2 (might be borderline) and #10. If you have 3 sources (independent and reliable) talk about him directly, that that would pass the requirements. Usually for an artist just hit the entertainment scene for the first few years would difficult to secure such sources and of course there are exception. Thank you. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 10:06, 20 July 2018 (UTC)
In this instance he has been very heavily covered as part of a film that did very well and featured some of his music. I think perhaps this is simply not enough at the moment. — Frayæ (Talk/Spjall) 10:10, 20 July 2018 (UTC)
Frayae Yes it is WP:TOOSOON, and believe he will be notable one day if his career moving the same direction as per now. Please note the draft page will be stored in Wikipedia for 6 months, so do come back and add the relevant sources if you could find them and resubmit. Thank you. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 10:14, 20 July 2018 (UTC)

EOS.IO - The History of EOS.IO

Hello Cassiopeia, you'll have to excuse my lack to details as I am fairly new to editing Wiki content.

In regards to the History of EOS, it felt as EOS was put in the best of light without mentioning any of the many issues it had and still has as of today. Although the information that was written was accurate, it was 1 sided.

Here are some of the many issues that would need to be included if we are talking about the History of EOS: - Block producers acted against their own constitution - Major exploit found on network days within launch - Scarcity of RAM, price inflation - Consensus bug halting the entire network (https://www.trustnodes.com/2018/06/16/eos-stops-functioning-network)

I am sure I am forgetting a few more. But those issues indicates problem with the network and also attest to EOS resilience to move forward. It shouldn't be ignored.

History needs to be a bit more complete are not at all, if I had more wiki editing skills, I would do the addendums myself.

Thanks — Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.46.127.94 (talk) 21:19, 19 July 2018 (UTC)

66.46.127.94 Hi Greetings to you. First of all please do not remove the sourced content again for you would subject to be blocked. Secondly different view/content (as what you claimed above) could be added as long as they are supported by independent, reliable secondary sources where by the content is written in neutral point of veiw. You could add the above of EOS history in the page by including inline citation. You could check on referencing for beginners for citing. I have sent you a welcome message on your talk page and pls click on the links (blue highlighted text) for they will lead you other pages which the topics are written in details. See here for the definition of notability, source types and examples for your reference - see message on "Request on 15:31:34, 22 June 2018 for assistance on AfC submission by SazidKabir". You could go to Teahouse for help on how to edit in Wikipedia or insert {{help me}} on your talk page and specify your question and some one will answer you question, or you can come back here if you have any further questions or need any assistance. Thank you. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 06:43, 20 July 2018 (UTC)
Hello Cassiopeia
Unfortunately I do not have the skillset or the time to edit the wiki, but when information is being shared has being inaccurate in the lack of its content, an author has the moral obligation to make changes or to leave a comment requesting community input. For example, if Hitler many good acts were mentioned and then someone brought to light all the mayhem he caused and the author refused to make an addendum to include new facts, then that just became bias writing. You either have the time to edit or your don't, but you can't just put what you assume is the correct of history of EOS. If you want help with the links, I can try to get the original source material, but you can't stand there and say their history is glamourous/smooth when it is not.
Net should include neutrality, your views of EOS history is not neutral, especially after I brought up these arguments; which they are already common knowledge on the internet and makes me doubt your ability to document historical events. And then you dare say I would be subject to a block, when you good Sir are ignoring the other half of EOS history.
If your information was old and out of date, well I just brought it up to date. It either needs to be edited or removed, but you can't leave it like that, that's admission of "there's nothing wrong so there's nothing to fix" syndrome.
P.S.: Facts are always important, leaving out the other side of the story is the same as manipulating facts. Where your morality stands from this point is up to you, but I can guarantee you the history of that article will be edited to reflect a neutral opinion. I am sorry if I came on head strong, but "threatening" me of being blocked was not the right approach. Your data was outdated and like any outdated data, you either edit it or remove it. Since I couldn't edit it, I removed it. I explain my reasons and you put it back anyway without any addendums. Just lazy writing. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.46.127.94 (talk) 17:21, 20 July 2018 (UTC)
66.46.127.94 Greetings. I guess you have mistaken some of my comments above. see below
  1. I did not edit the page or input any content in the history section. I just reverted your edit because you removed the sourced content twice as you think the section does not represent only "best light' of EOS but not the "problem part". As I told you before, you can not just removed 'good part" because the "problem part" is not there" but you can add (or your term "fix it") the "problem part" as long as the content added are sourced. Pls read WP:ACHIEVE NPOV and WP:UNDUE
  2. WP:NPOV - neutral point of view is content written without editorial bias, all of the significant views that have been published by reliable sources on a topic. Practically the content added is summary what the sourced said in plain and factual manner.
  3. I have provide you in links on how to edit in Wikipedia and you could try to input the info in and cite with source or you would insert {{edit request}} on the article talk page and provide the content and source and interested editor might help.
  4. Please do not removed the sourced content. I am not threaten you but letting you know because if you keep on removing sourced content just because you dont like the info there, then that means it harm the article and continue doing so will lead to a block. I inform you as you are new to Wikipedia and might not aware of the guidelines of Wikipedia.
Thank you. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 18:09, 20 July 2018 (UTC)

And what would be the proper sentence or wording or meta to use that the history is incomplete and requires further community input. As I said before, I don't have the skillset and reading articles doesn't make me learn it any faster, unless you had an educational video for me to refer to. I'm so busy that I don't have the time to keep track of an account I created on wiki, so this is one of the rare times I have for feedback.

You have to understand that the cryptocurrency market has been filled with lots of scams and schemes, so accurate representation is so important in this space. I always believed that having half of the truth is no truth at all. Maybe some day I'll get to learn to do wiki edits, but it won't be this month. I just want an addendum added to the history stating that "the history is incomplete and requires additional community contribution" or along those lines. How do I go about it? (I might want to include some reference links explaining the addendum, so I'll also need to know how to do those as well.

On a side note, when I look at the markup codes to include references and links, it might as well be in a different language; I have a steep learning curve when it comes to reading material. I did notice there is the autowikibrowser but I didn't see a preview function of what it looks after it is edited without having to submit. WYSIWYG would be important to me.

With a digital currency that is being traded at over $500 million USD a day, that's a lot of uneducated money. It may not seen as much, but even investors relies on Wikipedia.

Thanks — Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.46.127.94 (talk) 18:42, 20 July 2018 (UTC)

Hey CASSIOPEIA, Thanks for contributing to Wikipedia. I would like to talk you regarding this page which i believe to be on Wikipedia. I had given many reliable sources from well knows newspapers with the digital edition. I am very disappointed that you again rejected that by the same reason. I request you to please have a look on each source, i provided. I hope for your positive response. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Wikiproducer123 (talkcontribs) 05:41, 20 July 2018 (UTC)

Wikiproducer123 Hi Good day and thank you for your question above. None of the sources below are suitable to demonstrate meeting Wikipedia notability requirements.
  1. THE LIST OF GREAT ENTREPRENEURS IN INDIA 2015 - is a mere listig of entrepreneurs without in dept coverage
  2. Building a robust cyber risk management system - is written by Mohit Bahl which means not an independent source.
  3. MY FIRST JOB: MOHIT BAHL, CEO & FOUNDER, BEHAL GROUP - is an interview piece for such it is not independence source (info is obtain by the subject)
  4. Top deck leads exodus at KPMG forensic audit division, 6 partner-level execs likely to join PwC - reliable source but subject only merely passing mentioned.
  5. Dhupia to head KPMG’s forensic practice - subject only merely passing mentioned.
Do note subject notability is whereby content is supported by independent, reliable secondary sources in significant coverage where by the content is written in neutral point of view which the source talks directly in dept of the subject and not passing mentioned. See here for the definition of notability, source types and examples for your reference - see message on "Request on 15:31:34, 22 June 2018 for assistance on AfC submission by SazidKabir". Please check the if the subject meets the nobility of WP:ANYBIO as no amount of editing that would merit a page in Wikipedia. Thank you. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 07:10, 20 July 2018 (UTC)

Sorry About My Mistake on the Cordyceps Page

Hi, I just got your message about me deleting some content from the Cordyceps article. I wanted to clarify that I did not mean to and apologize for my mistake. I tried adding a section about The Last of Us, but I was on a slow-ish mobile device, so something went weird and messed things up. Thanks for restoring whatever I deleted, and sorry for the inconvenience. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.33.207.7 (talk) 04:31, 22 July 2018 (UTC)

64.33.207.7 Good day. Everybody makes mistake and I am one of them. To edit Wikipedia in mobile with much smaller screen as compared to a monitor is a big different in visibility. I thank you for your politeness and grace to inform me of your regretful trivial incident. Truly appreciate it. Thank you for your contribution and happy editing. Hello brother, sorry I am getting back to you late, but here I am. Gegard isn't Iranian he was born in actual Iran (Tehran) the capital, but he is actually Armenian and on his wiki it doesn't say IRANIAN MMA FIGHTER. It says dutch... This is different because Makwan says Finland is my home and Kurdistan is my country PROOF (https://twitter.com/makwanamirkhani/status/704290603987763200?lang=en) so the fighter himself classifies himself as a Kurd. So, that is coming from him. Makwan and every Kurd born in Kermanshah never says I am Iranian.... they say I am a Kurd. So, putting Iranian is false simply because if an iranian saw this they would say wow he is persian let me see his instagram; they would go and see him lifting the Kurdish flag and go wtf????? this is why every Kurd has a problem with putting iranian fighter. The man himself says I AM A KURD and lifts the Kurdish flag. He isn't persian. So, that's why I have been so obsessed with this wikipedia page. We finally get a Kurdish MMA fighter and now people are trying to say he's Iranian, he isn't not. Kurdistan is a state and has established a country even though it's not official. So, please make sure it says either Kurdish or Finnish... he has no Iranian passport or anything. That's my request from me and all the other Kurds. In an interview he says he was born Iraq because there was war in Kermanshah at the time so his family moved to Iraq and then he was born there. I would prefer you used Finnish because atleast he represents them and not iran. Thank you very much and to close this I will show you some videos and pictures of him as a Kurd because he never has lifted irans flag. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dx5LyQvI7C4) (https://www.instagram.com/p/BjhJg5QH6p-/?hl=en&taken-by=makwanofficial) (https://www.facebook.com/amirkhanimakwan/videos/1808797872668356/) here he says 100% Kurdish. SO wether Kurdistan is a country or not we're still Kurds not Iranian, iraqi, syrian or turkish. So I hope I have shown something to you and all the best brother! signed by MOMO BABAN

MOMO BABANWe will need a source to prove he was born in Iraq, so if you can provide that ,it will be put into his article. Thank you for your explaination. JC7V7DC5768 (talk) 17:26, 23 July 2018 (UTC)
MOMO BABAN Greetings. Please note Wikipedia needs reliable sources which are independent from the subject to verification of the content added/edited. First of all please note that a person could have multiple citizenships but only could born in one country. A person also could renowned their birth country citizenship for personal/legal/political reason. A person also could caught in the situation that their birth country would not recognized their citizenship rights. Both Mousasi and Amirkhani were born in Iran with are supported by sources. Secondly, in Iran, its people composure of many many ethnicity group and primary they are Persians 60%, Kurds 10%, Lurs 6%, and Balochs 2%, Armenians, Talysh, Georgians, Circassians, Assyrians and etc[1] Kurdistan is not a country. The Kurds or the Kurdish people are an Iranian ethnic group. So Both Mousasai and Amirkhani were born in Iran, a with Armenian and Kurd heritage respectively. If they no longer (I dont know if there are) renowned their Iranian citizenship, they still are born Iranian Dutch and Finland MM fighter. You can put Mousasi is a Iranian born Dutch MMA and kickboxing fighter with a Armenian heritage/ancestry, and Amirkhani is a Iranian born Finland fighter with a Kurd heritage/ancestry. It doesn not matter he lifted Iran flag or not, he was still born in Iran. He just identifies himself as himself as a Finnish (as moniker is "Mr. Finland") with Kurd ethnicity background just as Mousasi identifies himself as Armenian ethnicity background but he is a Dutch citizen. If both of them no longer hold their respective birth country citizenship, then their are no longer considered Iranians but Iran still is their birth country. This is very common as millions of Chinese and Indians migrated to other country from China and India and picked up new citizenships of their adopted countries, but they are still born in their own respectively countries in regardless how you defined them. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 14:47, 24 July 2018 (UTC)
But, it's still not 100& reliable you could put Iranian Kurd born but the thing is he isn't Iranian I understand where you're coming from, but why does this have to even be in here? No Kurd including Mak would want that. I was born in Erbil so, if I have a wiki page you will put Iraqi born? you don't have to put Iraqi born.... you can put where he is born where it says his date of birth... Makwan is a Kurdish MMA fighter that's it. When I get my semi protecting editing license I will change it to Kurdish MMA fighter I am sorry, but as a Kurd I find it offensive that a Kurdish guy is being shown as an Iranian born. There has to be Kurd in there. It's either Iranian Kurdish born - Finnish MMA fighter or KURDISH-FINNISH MMA FIGHTER. Makwan doesn't have a irannian citizenship he never did. He was born in Iraq. — Preceding unsigned comment added by MOMO BABAN (talkcontribs) 17:09, 24 July 2018 (UTC)
MOMO BABAN, Hi I understand where you coming from as I know a little bit of the Kurd and Iran history. I have changed it to "Makwan Amirkhani (born November 8, 1988) is a Finnish national of a Kurd ancestry mixed martial artist". Please note should any editors put back Amirkhani's birth country back, it would not be wrong, as to omit it is one thing but as long as it is sourced it could be placed in the article for it is not subject to either Amirkhani or any editors as you put it "dont like it" after all this is Wikipedia for as long as content is based on independent reliable source, it could be placed in the article. cheers. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 18:05, 24 July 2018 (UTC)
Thank you so much! for the past year I have been trying to get one editor to understand where I am coming from. I literally got blocked for trying to say my part. I made many accounts and I will happily leave wikipedia if you feel I shouldn't be here. Kianoush Rostami you heard of him??? He is a Kurdish weightlifter who won Iran a gold medal in the 2016 olympics and every Kurd who put Iranian Weightlifter of Kurdish origin got blocked. I don't see why the term 'Kurdish' can't be in there when he is? like surly you could put it... cuz his first insta post was I am so proud to be a Kurd and wear the traditional clothing. I got blocked for doing it many times but I felt a wiki page should cover everything about a person like their background. Mesut ozil has it, nearly every person even Nusret who is a Kurd it says it he is of Kurdish origin. Ninja is an editor and he blocked my main account.. So if you feel I should leave I happily will my main account is mobabansos.. thank you though! truly appreciate you mate... wont forget about your kindness... Zor supas! (means thank you very much in Kurdish) — Preceding unsigned comment added by MOMO BABAN (talkcontribs) 23:46, 24 July 2018 (UTC)
MOMO BABAN, Please note the following:
  1. As I mentioned before, content added/changed need to support by independent reliable secondary source - even if Makwan stated his is Kurdish it would considered primary source and not independent for such it could NOT be used.
  2. If any editor states he is Iranian-born that is correct and as it is supported by existing source. I will not revert it back.
  3. You can not go around and change the subject as a Kurd if no source is provided, and subject was born in Iran then he/she is Iran born even if the subject dislike the idea of he/she was born there or hate his/her birth country for whatever reasons for you cant change the fact of the birth country. Please note Wikipedia is about what sourced is stated and it is not about what the subjects or the editors like what the subject to be recorded in Wikipedia.
  4. I understand you are proud of being a Kurd; but Kurdistan is NOT a country.[2] The Kurds or the Kurdish people are an Iranian ethnic group. Kurds also live in south-eastern Turkey, north-eastern Syria, northern Iraq and south-western Armenia.[3] If you can find independent reliable secondary source that indicate the subject is a Kurd then you could put it in the content as "of a Kurd heritage/ancestry" if not then you cant place it there. If there are dispute of such "sourced" content placed, then bring it to the article talk page to discussion with the interest editors.
  5. As you have been blocked a few times and continuing recreate other accounts to do the same actions which led you from being blocked, it would considered a sockpuppet on the ground of crating new accounts to avoid detection of doing the same disruptive actions where a block was placed on you. (you are allowed to create multiple account as long as all the edits you make are constructive). I believe you have been report by other editor on this. I advise you to stop doing such action in Wikipedia as Wikipedia is not a social media or a blog.
Thank you. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 07:13, 25 July 2018 (UTC)

Free Congress Foundation -> American Opportunity Foundation

Hi Cassiopeia,

Thanks for the help response. I have several specific questions for which I have been unable to find concise answers.

The Free Congress Foundation folded after the founder's (Paul Weyrich) death.

The American Opportunity Foundation in some way ended up with all the assets and rights to the name Free Congress Foundation. It is claiming that the page for the Free Congress Foundation should be eliminated and redirected to American Opportunity Foundation. I opposed this and suggested that I build a disambiguation page in as inoffensive a manner I can muster that simple says that from xxxx to yyyy the Free Congress Foundation was a separate entity with a full entry on Wikipedia. But after zzzz the name and assets were transferred to the American Opportunity Foundation which is its continuation with a different focus.

I looked at: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Help:Disambiguation https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style/Disambiguation_pages

...and found them not very helpful, as if written by someone who wrote introductory user manuals for a Radio Shack Model II (I owned one in the 1980s)

So how would you write a Disambiguation page for this unusual situation? Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Chip Chip_Berlet (The Perseids say hello and promise they will be back soon.) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Chip.berlet (talkcontribs) 13:01, 25 July 2018 (UTC)

@Chip.berlet: I believe you want to replace the contents of page Free Congress Foundation with the following code:
'''Free Congress Foundation''' may refer to:
* [[Free Congress Research and Education Foundation]], a ...
* [[American Opportunity]], a ...
{{disambiguation}}
And fill in brief descriptions of the two targets that will help a reader tell at a glance which one they want. If this doesn't look right to you, or you have further questions about it, the specialists in these things hang out at Wikipedia:WikiProject Disambiguation. --Worldbruce (talk) 05:46, 26 July 2018 (UTC) (talk page stalker)

Colton Meltzer Good day. The content was added twice by an IP editor - see Here and Here which were not supported by sources. I have a brief check and could not find any source claim such content for such I have removed it from the page and warned the IP editor. Have a good day. Cheers. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 04:20, 28 July 2018 (UTC)

I added an additional citation for Magnus Carlsen attaining the FIDE Grandmaster title at age 13. This was a major motion picture release in Norway and is quite an important film to chess fans around the globe so I don't understand you stating that this movie lacks notoriety. It is a biographical film which features former world champion chess players and Magnus Carlesn's father which even has its own IMDB entry.

Louis Reed Hi good day. Please see Film notability requirements. As Magnus was released in 2016 it is notable but the content need to support by sources. Sources provided ware about the real life person Magnus Carlsen but not the film which is the subject of this draft article. You need to provide at least 3 independent, reliable secondary source. Do note press release, IMBD, official web site/home site, interview pieces and etc are considered not independent sources. See here for the definition of notability, source types and examples for your reference - see message on "Request on 15:31:34, 22 June 2018 for assistance on AfC submission by SazidKabir".
Here are two reviews (one from The Guidance newspaper and the other from The New York Times) of film you could use - The Guardian and The New York Times. New York Times article is a paid access site. If you cant obtain the copy, pls send an email to me and I will forward you the hard copy. You can go here [4] and just type my user name and I will be able to receive the email provided you have enable your email address in Wikipedia. If you have not enable and would like to then go to "Peferences" on the top right menu and type your email address under Email options and tick "Allow other users to email me". By the way, the sources would be in any languages as long as they are independent, reliable and secondary. If you intent to write more articles in Wikipedia, I do suggest you to red WP:Your First Article and referencing for beginners for there have lots of info and instructions to help you on writing an article and citing in Wikipedia. Let me know if anything else I could help. Cheers. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 04:36, 28 July 2018 (UTC)

NPR Newsletter No.12 30 July 2018

Chart of the New Pages Patrol backlog for the past 6 months. (Purge)

Hello Cassiopeia, thank you for your work reviewing New Pages!

June backlog drive

Overall the June backlog drive was a success, reducing the last 3,000 or so to below 500. However, as expected, 90% of the patrolling was done by less than 10% of reviewers.
Since the drive closed, the backlog has begun to rise sharply again and is back up to nearly 1,400 already. Please help reduce this total and keep it from raising further by reviewing some articles each day.

New technology, new rules
  • New features are shortly going to be added to the Special:NewPagesFeed which include a list of drafts for review, OTRS flags for COPYVIO, and more granular filter preferences. More details can be found at this page.
  • Probationary permissions: Now that PERM has been configured to allow expiry dates to all minor user rights, new NPR flag holders may sometimes be limited in the first instance to 6 months during which their work will be assessed for both quality and quantity of their reviews. This will allow admins to accord the right in borderline cases rather than make a flat out rejection.
  • Current reviewers who have had the flag for longer than 6 months but have not used the permissions since they were granted will have the flag removed, but may still request to have it granted again in the future, subject to the same probationary period, if they wish to become an active reviewer.
Editathons
  • Editathons will continue through August. Please be gentle with new pages that obviously come from good faith participants, especially articles from developing economies and ones about female subjects. Consider using the 'move to draft' tool rather than bluntly tagging articles that may have potential but which cannot yet reside in mainspace.
The Signpost
  • The next issue of the monthly magazine will be out soon. The newspaper is an excellent way to stay up to date with news and new developments between our newsletters. If you have special messages to be published, or if you would like to submit an article (one about NPR perhaps?), don't hesitate to contact the editorial team here.

Go here to remove your name if you wish to opt-out of future mailings. Insertcleverphrasehere (or here) 00:00, 30 July 2018 (UTC)
