Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 10:41, 21 August 2013 (UTC)- I pretty much decimated most of your article, sorry, but the good news is that the new version, paired with the sources I was able to locate, did establish notability for Watt. The big problem is that much of what you used originally source-wise wasn't really usable as far as notability goes. For example, the interview by the college he worked for would be seen as a primary source (WP:PRIMARY). The reviews for the people he's signed to his publishing company wouldn't' show notability for him either. In any case, the article should just squeak by notability guidelines now enough to merit an article. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 10:52, 21 August 2013 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of The Cook's Bookcase
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on The Cook's Bookcase requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. reddogsix (talk) 06:16, 4 April 2017 (UTC)

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/The Cook's Bookcase until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.
Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. reddogsix (talk) 14:25, 4 April 2017 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of The Cook's Bookcase
[edit]Hello Bumsnuggler,
I wanted to let you know that I just tagged The Cook's Bookcase for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly indicate why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

Speedy deletion nomination of Justin Dahl

A tag has been placed on Justin Dahl requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. - I am sorry to tell that your Justin Dahl article did not contain any assertions of significance or notability, and has therefore been deleted. In this instance, all the cited sources were to pages by the subject of the article, and were therefore not independent. For reference, community consensus has over time determined that bands and musicians generally need to meet the criteria in WP:MUSIC in order to merit inclusion in Wikipedia. Nonetheless, I see that you have come off to a decent start and some of your article submissions are now in Wikipedia! I hope setbacks such as this don't discourage you! Sjakkalle (Check!) 19:08, 3 August 2020 (UTC)
The article Liz Pollock has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
While the Cook's bookcase may have some claim to notability, this individual does not appear to.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Onel5969 TT me 13:46, 26 August 2020 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on Liz Pollock, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. [edit]Hello Bumsnuggler. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.
Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.
Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Bumsnuggler. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Bumsnuggler|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}
. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. signed, Rosguill talk 20:58, 28 August 2020 (UTC)
I'm not being paid to write these pages. If I've made them seem promotional then I apologise. I'm just writing pages about the things I like. Bumsnuggler (talk) 21:34, 28 August 2020 (UTC)
- I think it would be wise to not re-create pages related to Liz Pollock or the Cook's Bookshop. Drmies (talk) 21:39, 28 August 2020 (UTC)
As an author though, I do believe she deserves a page. And her shop is a cool little place with a nice regional following. I've seen far less important things have pages on here. Bumsnuggler (talk) 00:10, 29 August 2020 (UTC)

[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Hidden Hills, California, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Salomon and Robert Woods. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Robert Rose (Author) moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, Robert Rose (Author), is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.
