Ways to improve 2021–22 Belmont Bruins women's basketball team
[edit]Hello, Bremerton98310,
Thank you for creating 2021–22 Belmont Bruins women's basketball team.
I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:
This article needs more references to satisfy notability for sport. What is needed are references from significant coverage about the topic of the article, and independent of it, in multiple secondary sources which are WP:RS; that is your guide. You may also read WP:PRIMARY which details the limited permitted usage of primary sources. A more comprehensive guide is WP:SOURCES ... Providing sufficient references, ideally one per fact referred to, that meet these tough criteria is likely to allow this article to remain.
This article is missing prose, which means it fails notability for sports teams. Team season articles should consist mainly of well-sourced prose, not just statistics and lists of players. Tense in lead of 2022 college football articles
[edit]Bremerton98310, when you create articles like 2022 Murray State Racers football team, you want to make sure the tense of the lead section isn't in the past tense, i.e. simply copied over from the 2021 article. Thanks for your contributions. Jweiss11 (talk) 15:58, 13 July 2022 (UTC)

- If you need any assistance, or have experienced any untoward behavior associated with this submission, you can ask for help at the Articles for creation help desk, on the reviewer's talk page or use Wikipedia's real-time chat help from experienced editors.
- Comment This unfortunate re-drafting and re-submitting is a real time waster for editors other than yourself, and it would not be necessary if when you submit such team season pages you make the slightest attempt to cite each of them with a bare minimum of secondary sources independent of the subject. Such pages have no business in mainspace without you sourcing them first. This is further complicated when, after an editor has moved an unsourced article back to draft space, you move it back with zero attempt at improvement. You are an experienced editor, so we have a reasonable expectation of your continued competence. I would hope you ask others when you need help, and not merely expect people to clean up after you. If you continue to submit team season pages as new articles without any reliable secondary sources, your ability to create pages may be restricted to using the AfC process exclusively. Network for college basketball games
[edit]On the "network" parameter for the schedule on college basketball pages, for the template page, until a network is for sure known, it should say TBD, even if it's known it will be one of the ESPN channels, it's just not known which one.--Rockchalk717 01:15, 4 October 2023 (UTC)

November 2023
[edit]Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give a page a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into 2023–24 Butler Bulldogs women's basketball team. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.
In most cases for registered users, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. Liz Read! [edit]You've been here for many years and have 10k+ edits, so it's surprising to see you adding unsourced personal information to a BLP as you did at Cynthia Rothrock. WP:DOB is the specific policy that covers the addition of birth dates to articles.-- Ponyobons mots 16:07, 27 September 2024 (UTC)
Previous season sections
[edit]Hi there. I removed the "Previous season" section at 2024–25 UCLA Bruins men's basketball team.[1] The consensus at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject College football/Archive 26 § "Previous season" sections and the general layout of team season articles was that it does not need a dedicated section. Also, a gentle reminder that if you copy text from another article, WP:COPYWITHIN must be followed. Thanks. —Bagumba (talk) 09:55, 31 October 2024 (UTC)
