Crunchydillpickle🥒 (talk) 18:45, 4 April 2024 (UTC)- Hello, thanks for the submission! In the future, please make sure you have more than just one source! I went in myself and added some newspapers and books because I thought the topic was interesting and had an hour to spare, but usually a submission with just only one source will get rejected. You can check out WP:RSP for a list of good publications, if you are curious! Anyway, welcome to Wikipedia and let me know if you have any questions. - @Crunchydillpickle Thank you so much! I've been looking at the Merritt article, and I found some really good sources in it. I'll try to figure out how to add images too, because he had one of Johnson in there Borg Axoim (talk) 14:25, 12 April 2024 (UTC)
DYK Nomination
[edit]Hello, letting you know that I started the review of your nomination for DYK at Template:Did you know nominations/Cora Babbitt Johnson. There are some minor problems, but I think they are easily correctable. 🌿MtBotany (talk) 03:29, 17 April 2024 (UTC)
- @MtBotany Thank you! I saw the suggested edits and will make an effort to do them tonight. I appreciate your efforts!! Borg Axoim (talk) 16:03, 22 April 2024 (UTC)
- I saw your edits to the article, but I double checked and could not find where "She also provided a platform for the Black Hills population to criticize the monument," was mentioned in the book The Carving of Mount Rushmore. Previously that citation said the information was in Chapter 2 or 5. I read them both, but didn't find it. Also, I did not find a mention of Doane Robinson writing to A.T. Johnson there and I text searched the book for "husband", "Johnson", and "Hot Springs" in case it were somewhere else and did not find anything. I have put in citation needed tags where I found those problems. Do you think it might have been in another source you were reading?
- Probably not useful to the article, but when I took a look at The Black Hill Engineer article I came across an article written by Cora Johnson on page 13. https://explore.digitalsd.org/digital/collection/sdsmt/id/70466 🌿MtBotany (talk) 21:36, 24 April 2024 (UTC)
- @MtBotany Ya know what, it might've been in Borglum's Horseflies. I know that Fite also mentioned it at some point, but not quite in those words. I'll fix that as soon as I can Borg Axoim (talk) 23:51, 24 April 2024 (UTC)
