People need to know about Obama's Eligibility Problem
Obots have prevented the people from reading the truth on Barack Obama's Wiki Page. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.35.250.140 (talk) 20:03, 13 March 2009 (UTC)
- Wikipedia is not a soapbox. --Bonadea (talk) 20:12, 13 March 2009 (UTC)
- The anonymous editor might also like to know there is an article specifically devoted to conspiracy theories about the President's birth. Please see Barack Obama citizenship conspiracy theories. Until any of those conspiracies are validated by the majority of mainstream media, that is the article where they belong. --GoodDamon 22:24, 13 March 2009 (UTC)

Article itself for promoting a website?
It looks, 'A' writes a sentence and 'B' demands for citation and 'C' come and paste http://paparazzicentralhub.com/ as the referance. Are A, B and C interlinked to promote the site http://paparazzicentralhub.com/ which is nothing but a "Adsense website". Block the website. I am here talking about http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paparazzi/ BrownyCat (talk) 23:11, 18 March 2009 (UTC)
- It may or may not be collaboration between editors A, B and C (I'm not sure which specific editors or edits you refer to). But that site is certainly inappropriate to link, in any case. Thanks for the heads-up! --bonadea contributions talk 12:15, 19 March 2009 (UTC)
Hi, and thanks for the help on Tojo. It seems Tojo aka Keith Bridgeman threw together some old texts and now calls himself editor of a book on Ferdinand Magellan. In his usual style he promotes it on Wikipedia using numerous sockpuppets since quite some time. I did a couple of blocks already. Details on Wikipedia:Long term abuse/General Tojo, bottom of the page. Cheers, -- Chris 73 | Talk 14:34, 18 April 2009 (UTC)

PodUniversal
In the discussion page of PodUniversal you have posted the following messge "Is the section Some exclusive Podcasts necessary? It consists only of external links to individual podcasts from the site. --bonadea contributions talk 18:01, 25 April 2009 (UTC)"
My response
Since the podcasts relate to different categories of public interest, i have classified them properly and given external links. They would be useful for the public. Please advise.--Varsha1990 (talk) 06:20, 1 May 2009 (UTC)
- It is better to discuss specific articles on their talk pages -- that way, all editors who are interested in the subject will see the discussion. I don't have a firm opinion about whether these links are in accordance with WP:EL or not, though I would think they aren't -- but other editors may be better equipped to know, which is why the article's talk page is the best place to talk about it. Raycom Sports page
I had posted the company history originally and it was removed.
I have tried again, just using what was already posted on Wikipedia. We would like the page to be stand alone from Raycom Media, as Sports is a seperate entity with a vastly different focus than Media's TV stations.
They ae our parent company, but we are not the same company.
I would like to have the page looking like the others with section headings such as History, Current Properties, and a brief company profile. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Turbonerd96 (talk • contribs) 18:22, 1 June 2009 (UTC)

Private Shopping Club
Hi there
I see that you have deleted all references to examples of Private Shopping Clubs after I have allowed myself to add 'Luxury4Less', which is the first of its kind in South Africa - why?
If you have a problem with my new addition, please chat to me or visit www.luxury4less.co.za to see that this club definetely belongs into this category, but even worse, deleting ALL of those other guys?
Hope to hear from you,

Private Shopping Club
Hi there, and greetings from South Africa. You are obviously the far more experienced Wikipedianer, so I kindly ask you for some advise: I found the article about Private Shopping Club and the main Private Shopping Clubs in Europe and America were listed. I allowed myself to add our local South African counterpart to the list, and then you decided to delete the entire list, even those links which had been included before - why? Would be great to understand, or maybe find a way that those links get added again?! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Hegoats (talk • contribs) 18:31, 18 June 2009 (UTC)
- Hi Hegoats! I'm sorry that my messages to you, where I attempted to explain why none of the links in that list were appropriate, were unclear. None of those links belong in a Wikipedia article and they should not be added back; they are commercial in nature, and almost all of them are members-only sites requiring registration to access the content. Please read the guideline on external links where this is explained much more clearly :-) Thanks! --bonadea contributions talk 14:11, 19 June 2009 (UTC)

Info message for foreign languages
Hej bonadea!
I noticed the message you placed on User talk:Webbgruppen (The one in Swedish). Do you have a template for that, or do you just write it manually? Regards, decltype (talk) 09:31, 23 June 2009 (UTC)
- I wrote it manually, but it actually did strike me that a template could be useful, in particular for people who are more Swedish-challenged than you or I :-) --bonadea contributions talk 09:35, 23 June 2009 (UTC)
- As it turns out, this already exists. Oh, and speak for yourself, I am extremely Swedish-challenged, though I really like to read (and listen) to it. decltype (talk) 10:11, 23 June 2009 (UTC)
- Ah, excellent - I'll remember that one. Thanks! (I just noticed that the note on the talk page in question didn't help -- they went ahead and created another page in Swedish. Oh well.)
- Heh. I actually copied that to sv.wiki, since it seemed like a valid stub. decltype (talk) 13:03, 23 June 2009 (UTC)
- Also, it's always a pleasure to meet people who like the language! --bonadea contributions talk 11:20, 23 June 2009 (UTC)
- Yes, sometimes when I'm lucky, I'm even able to spot errors made by native speakers (like the use of "dom", or an incorrect "särskrivning"). Needless to say, I derive great pleasure from this :) decltype (talk) 13:03, 23 June 2009 (UTC)
S'Quarrels
Bonadea,
In reguards to S'Quarrels, I want to make certain I have filled the form out correctly. There is concern about deleating this article yet I do not understand the reason. It is stated that the article is Bias yet it has only factual details about the game and no opinions have been posted. Please help me keep this on Wikipedia as I have three sources that have asked me to place it on this site. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Couggar (talk • contribs) 16:56, 6 July 2009 (UTC)
- I was going to ask you to discuss this on the articles for deletion page but I see you've already found it :-) The conflict of interest tag on the article is not the reason why it was tagged for deletion (and it doesn't in fact claim that the article is biased -- only that there may be a risk for bias). The reason it is tagged is because there doesn't appear to be sufficient notability to keep it. That doesn't mean it's not a good game, or that it isn't interesting; it only means that there hasn't been sufficient coverage of it in independent, verifiable sources. Here is a good explanation of this. Thank you. --bonadea contributions talk 20:21, 6 July 2009 (UTC)
List of noise musicians
I saw that you removed all the noise musicians in the list who did not have wiki pages. Would it not perhaps be better to keep the list as complete as possible and include those without wiki pages? I would prefer completeness to consistency.
OK with you if I reverse your action?
Thanks much.
Valueyou (talk) 08:02, 8 July 2009 (UTC)
- Do you think you might bring it up for discussion on the article's talk page? Lists of people (musicians, artists, other notable people) tend to include only those who have Wikipedia articles, and the heading for List of noise musicians states "The following is a list of notable noise musicians and bands" which to me means that the people on the the list should be eligible for an article. But the talk page is a better venue to discuss whether it is reasonable to include only the musicians who already have articles. If you do reverse my edit I won't edit war over it, but you might want to consider leaving out the external links from the list -- I don't think they belong there, per WP:EL. Cheers, --bonadea contributions talk 08:15, 8 July 2009 (UTC)
Thanks. Good advise. Will do so.

I definitely sympathize with your desire to delete this page, and agree with your assignment of it as WP:MADEUP. Unfortunately that's not among the valid speedy deletion criteria, so I have declined that tag and removed it and its affiliated hangon tag. However, I have submitted the article for articles for deletion discussion, which I trust you'll approve as accomplishing the same outcome. Accounting4Taste:talk 22:40, 19 July 2009 (UTC)

Removal of PROD from Vishal Kanoi
Hello Bonadea, this is an automated message from SDPatrolBot to inform you the PROD template you added to Vishal Kanoi has been removed. It was removed by Phil Bridger with the following edit summary '(if notability is "unclear" then it's not a clear-cut enough case for deletion with WP:PROD - please use WP:AFD if you don't think that the sources cited in the article and any others you can find are enough for notability)'. Please consider discussing your concerns with Phil Bridger before pursuing deletion further yourself. If you still think the article should be deleted after communicating with the 'dePRODer,' you may want to send the article to AfD for community discussion. Thank you, SDPatrolBot (talk) 20:32, 5 August 2009 (UTC) (Learn how to opt out of these messages)
I'm wondering, given the reversion you made earlier, and a later reversion by someone else on my page about The Mentalist, quite how I'm supposed to insert a personal opinion to a page without it causing so much apparent offence that someone else removes it? My language was polite and merely technical, and I labelled it as a personal opinion in the references. Xaetium (talk) 14:27, 8 August 2009 (UTC)
- Hi Xaetium. Thank you for asking about this rather than just restoring the edit to the page. The problem isn't your phrasing or your language. Unfortunately, personal opinions are not allowed at all in Wikipedia; it's one of the cornerstones of the site. Here it says:
Wikipedia is not a place to publish your own thoughts and analyses or to publish new information not previously published. Per our policy on original research, please do not use Wikipedia for any of the following:
1. Primary (original) research such as proposing theories and solutions, original ideas, defining terms, coining new words, et cetera.
- Thus, I'm afraid you will have to find another place to discuss theories about Red John's identity. If you find a reliable source about it you are welcome to insert the information with a reference to the source. --bonadea contributions talk 14:35, 8 August 2009 (UTC)

Self published writers deserve the same respect as any other writer
My name is irene brodsky and i see an alert on my User Page that there seems to be a problem being self-published and not having enough info. I am a new writer and 62 years old. I entered as much info as I could think of but many of the things I added do not show or are now missing. I am surprised also that Cambridge Who's Who should not be a respectable reference. And I have many references that are now missing. I think I am a decent, respectable professional, a teacher of Poetry at Brooklyn college City University of N.Y. who graduated from that school at age 60. I worked hard at my new writing career and do not deserve people to complain about my page. Why would anyone want to complain about a 62 year old woman who is trying to make a new career for herself and a new lease in life? I feel sorry for anyone who would pick on a 62 year old woman.
Sincerely, Irene Brodsky also known as Socrates 1 x 2

Speedy deletion nomination of Wm-center.com, PlanetWM.com
Hello! Can you please specify, what exactly you don't like in this articles? I understand that some texts may sounds like advertisements, but no fake info there. I've seen articles about other digital currency exchangers, it's basically the same. Of course if information about fast orders process and etc is not allowed here, I will remove that. Thanks for your time! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Tonxxx (talk • contribs) 12:58, 13 August 2009 (UTC)
- Hi Tonxxx! The issue with the articles is not that they sound like adverts, but simply that there is nothing in them to indicate why the subjects are notable. Please have a look at the notability guidelines for companies and for web sites, and note that notability should be supported by reliable third-party sources. Thank you! --bonadea contributions talk 13:24, 13 August 2009 (UTC)
Thanks Bonadea for your reply! This are my first articles, so pls sorry for questions. Regarding notability, I may be wrong but I can't agree. This companies presents in digital currency exchanger article here, and also in many other related articles/directories/etc on the net. Some other companies from digital currency exchanger article have their own articles here like London Gold Exchange, ExchEngine and etc. I decided to write articles about Wm-center.com and PlanetWM.com too, because I am working with them and suppose this will be usefull to those who is interested in topic. This 2 companies are among leaders in their business, like London Gold Exchange so that's why I suppose they are notable too. Tonxxx (talk) 16:48, 13 August 2009 (UTC)Best regards, Anthony
- Hi Anthony,
I could very well be wrong about the notability, but the problem was that the article didn't mention why the company was notable. I rather believe that the same thing applies to the articles about the other two companies you mention - nothing in the articles say why London Gold Exchange or ExchEngine are notable companies. However, another editor diregreed with me about Wm-center.com and removed the speedy deletion tag (as you have probably seen). You still need to provide references about the notability; I have tried to find some myself but failed, but then it's not my area of expertise so you are probably much better placed to find the references. Good luck, and don't hesitate to come back if you have other questions! --bonadea contributions talk 07:56, 14 August 2009 (UTC)
Truth
Can you please explain why you think stating the truth (an ex wife may not want to be included as mother to the other 3 children born out of same marriage to a 'prostitute') which I was careful not to put. People in NZ are aware that Mr Mendoza fathered some of these children to a massage parlour employee as it was well publicised when the children were removed from her care. The other 2 children from the ex wife also may not want to be bunched together with the others either. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Freespirit1 (talk • contribs) 07:23, 17 August 2009 (UTC)
- If it is well publicised, there is no problem. Please provide a reliable source for the information, and nobody will have any problem with it staying. The policy concerning articles about living people can't be stretched, I'm afraid -- you can add as much information as you want to about a living person, but if it isn't sourced, it shouldn't be added. I have to admit, I would never have interpreted "masseuse" as "prostitute" -- what the man's former girl friend did for a living is irrelevant, the relevant thing is that you can't add unsourced information about people's families. Please also read the discussion on the article's talk page concerning Mr Mendoza's birth year, and don't insert conflicting information in the article (currently, it says both that he was born in 1955 and in 1948, and it appears from the talk page that consensus is 1948 -- again, if you have a reliable third-party source for the other birth year, please add it). Thank you very much. --bonadea contributions talk 07:33, 17 August 2009 (UTC)
Help
Hi, was wondering if you or any one else offered help in developing pages before adding them to the site so they are not deleted.
Ns 69 (talk) 11:26, 20 August 2009 (UTC)
regarding The Coming Past
I thought after first reading through the guidelines that had the article been unbiased and, what I thought would have not been an advertisement, the page for this book would be appropriate and not have any issues. Yes, I am the author, and this would be my first time doing so. I took another look through the guidelines, and I understand, and partially agree, with what I saw there of one who is not the author seeing the notability to add the page, so the deletion won't be contested by me. Is there a way for speedy deletion to go forward without having to wait for any more discussions? Thank you for your time in helping this one. Leavitt420 (talk) 18:27, 14 September 2009 (UTC)
- Thank you for taking the time to check the guidelines! That you are the autor doesn't in itself mean that the article must be deleted -- it is only a question of notability, which is not a reflection on the quality or worthiness of the book, only of whether it is known or not.
- I will go ahead and place a speedy deletion tag on the article, because there is a speedy deletion criterion for articles where the article's author has requested deletion. Thanks again for your message. --bonadea contributions talk 18:41, 14 September 2009 (UTC)
So does this mean when it's actually published (in a couple weeks) and I have, for example an Amazon.com page, if I put it back up it'll be okay? I'm a little shaky as to what the notability truly requires. It takes a few readthroughs for me to understand more of the guidelines, haha. And thank you.Leavitt420 (talk) 02:23, 15 September 2009 (UTC)

I received two messages from you.
One was regarding an article that I think that contributes to the purpose of wikipedia. I still don't see how you found that article to be a promotional article.
In fact I can only think that you deleted it without reading it first. You couldn't have read it and send me the message in less than 20 seconds from the time I posted it. ;-)

- Considering the inappropriate text you added to AdSense, there was plenty of time for me to read it (as you'll see here it was seven minutes between your adding it and my reverting your addition) and it was immediately obvious that the text was not encyclopedic. The section was promotional in content as well as in tone; please read What Wikipedia is not. In addition, you added inappropriate external links which was another tip-off that your purpose was to promote rather than to inform. Before making any more edits, it might be a good idea to read the introduction to Wikipedia to avoid further pitfalls. Thank you! --bonadea contributions talk 08:23, 30 September 2009 (UTC)
Good Luck Wikipedia
I will not spend more time trying to convince you that my edit was not promotional. It is obvious that you consider a point of view about using adsense a promotional mean.
Thanks to you, Wikipedia just lost someone who came here to contribute with some knowledge about his specialization.

- I am not "the one controlling the delete button". I am a regular editor, not an administrator (which means I can't, for instance, delete articles or block editors - nor do I wish to do so); like any other regular editor I am supposed to fix articles that do not comply with Wikipedia policies and guidelines. And yes, adding a point of view about AdSense (or any other subject) is very much against the encyclopedia's policies. --bonadea contributions talk 08:45, 30 September 2009 (UTC)

Hey thanks for the comment. Yeah i know that itv is hard to fight vandals without rollback or twinkle. But if you look at my past edits I have been fighting it. Well thanks for your opinion and just to tell you I am not connected with the recent ANI. Thanks!--Coldplay Expert 18:41, 5 October 2009 (UTC)

- You can stop messing with my userpage for a start, "Hero". Yintaɳ 13:19, 12 October 2009 (UTC)

Ask any pupil/teacher/parent about what the new logo looks like and they will say exactly the same as what i have posted. You cannot determine what is a verifiable source as you have never been a member of that school. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Alssa1 (talk • contribs) 18:08, 12 October 2009 (UTC)

That wasnt a personal attack, but if you feel that you cant take it just say. Anyway ban me if you want, a Degree in Computer programming and an IP scrambler will get round it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Alssa1 (talk • contribs) 18:41, 12 October 2009 (UTC)
- I didn't even see your previous comment until after it had been removed; there is no question but that it was a personal attack, albeit rather a mild one (and as you perhaps intended, it made me feel amused rather than anything else). No matter, but please remember in future that it's always a bad idea to comment on other contributors rather than on their contributions, because that is the definition of a personal attack. Another really bad idea is to announce publicly that you would circumvent a block if it was implemented. --bonadea contributions talk 18:49, 12 October 2009 (UTC)
- Just for the record, I couldn't block you, even if I wanted to. Only administrators, of which I'm not one, are able to block people. --bonadea contributions talk 18:51, 12 October 2009 (UTC)
I hope the changes on my page have put you to ease. I was wondering if it was okay if i did put openions on my page as well as facts.
I plan on making a twitter. —Preceding unsigned comment added by MoreFromKasy:) (talk • contribs) 18:12, 7 November 2009 (UTC)

I semi-protected that article for three days--hopefully that will stem the tide of vandalism. I also indefblocked the named account that was apparently the ringleader. Blueboy96 13:49, 14 November 2009 (UTC)
- Thank you! See, this is one of the fun things about Wikipedia - I'd never have heard about this band if it hadn't been for vandal hunting the article :-) --bonadea contributions talk 13:56, 14 November 2009 (UTC)
