Commas
[edit]Please see the fourth bullet point at MOS:COMMA:
- In geographical references that include multiple levels of subordinate divisions (e.g., city, state/province, country), a comma separates each element and follows the last element unless followed by other punctuation. Dates in month–day–year format require a comma after the day, as well as after the year, unless followed by other punctuation. In both cases, the last element is treated as parenthetical.
Incorrect: He set October 1, 2011 as the deadline for Chattanooga, Oklahoma to meet his demands. Correct: He set October 1, 2011, as the deadline for Chattanooga, Oklahoma, to meet his demands.
In other words, my punctuation edits at Colorado Springs Sky Sox and San Antonio Missions were correct. NatureBoyMD (talk) 18:28, 21 June 2017 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, I'm Walter Görlitz. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Los Angeles FC, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. [edit]Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.
When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:

Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.
Edit summary content is visible in:

Disambiguation link notification for January 10
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited List of Major League Soccer stadiums, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page LAFC (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

NASL and Jacksonville/Miami to the NPSL
[edit]Just a heads up, but neither team has announced they have actually withdrawn from the NASL under the assumption that they hop the league will actually start again in August 2018. The Armada's press release specifically says they are only committed to the NPSL until July 2018, and Miami's press release says they will even play under a different name in the NPSL. Both announcements, plus post announcement statements such this one, state they will re-evaluate their NASL membership later. It is WP:NOTCRYSTAL at this time to say that they are NOT members of the NASL, we only know that they will play at least the spring season in another league. References: List of future stadiums
[edit]Hello
I see that you have just made a change to the article List of future stadiums. You updated the information on the SC-Freiburg stadium, by changing the year of completion from 2019 to 2020. However, you did not provide any new references. According to the current references, the stadium will be completed by 2019. I am also aware that completion is now estimated by 2020, and I will help you provide references for that. But please, start provide references. I have seen you made several changes to this article, including adding several stadiums, without providing any references. I am sure you know how to provide correct references. /EriFr (talk) 20:59, 21 February 2018 (UTC)
- I realize that the current references say that construction will begin in 2019 (but not when the new stadium will be completed). I was going to remove my post here, because it was a bit hasty (I am sorry for that). But I still want to ask you to help provide more references. /EriFr (talk) 21:08, 21 February 2018 (UTC)

[edit]This is your only warning; if you remove or blank page contents or templates from Wikipedia again, as you did at Los Angeles FC, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Thanks for explaining the edit, but you've entirely missed what WP:RS states. The club is reliable and the supporter's blog is not. I have three choices going forward:
- take the source to WP:RSN to determine if it can be used to support the idea of a larger supporter's group
- take the URL to the spam blacklist so it can never be used
- take you to WP:ANI to have you explain your misuse of the source.
Which of those options appeals the most to you? Walter Görlitz (talk) 22:33, 3 May 2018 (UTC)

Request reason:
Hi there. All edits are done in good faith, and I always try to make sure a reference or external link validates the information if there is no published article reference. If there is a proper discussion space to discuss which specific types of edits are not being properly sourced, I'd like to know, but I'm just simply not familiar with it, but would gladly take any help that can be offered. I saw issues about BLP mentioned, but I would like to know the exact issues and the proper forum in which I can address them moving forward if there are concerns. I'd certainly like to fix these issues however. Please let me know.
Decline reason:
You'll need to show that you understand how to properly cite sources(see WP:CITE) before unblocking can be considered. I am declining your request. 331dot (talk) 08:05, 23 September 2020 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:
Hello, 331dot, how do would you suggest I show this? I'm certainly willing to. In my edit history, I've used citations pretty frequently. I think it's been my lack of knowledge in how to address concerns within the wiki mainframe that has been the main issue.
Decline reason:
Procedural decline only. This unblock request has been open for more than two weeks but has not proven sufficient for any reviewing administrator to take action. You are welcome to request a new block review if you substantially reword your request. To be unblocked, you must convince the reviewing administrator(s) that
- the block is not necessary to prevent damage or disruption to Wikipedia, or
- the block is no longer necessary because you
- understand what you have been blocked for,
- will not continue to cause damage or disruption, and
- will make useful contributions instead.
Please read the guide to appealing blocks for more information. signed, Rosguill talk 19:33, 15 October 2020 (UTC)

- Please read the Wikipedia guidelines for citing sources as you have shown that you do not have a good grasp on properly citing sources. You have been blocked and warned MULTIPLE times and still continue to show any effort or progress in improving. You were recently the discussion on the WP:AN/I#Blueandwhite87 in which you had ample time to respond. Come back when you can demonstrate you can properly cite sources.
