Happy editing! I dream of horses (Contribs) (Talk) 19:51, 17 September 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks. It's been a while since I contributed, other than financially, but my friend passed earlier this year and I wanted to help get his article re-reviewed and published.
- Can you advise if there is a process for resubmitting an article, once rejected? Someone else - well intentioned but not familiar with submission requirements - made an initial attempt at submission. I've added some references and removed a spurious claim, but do not know how to request re-review. Any help deeply appreciated! Blendoh (talk) 20:02, 17 September 2022 (UTC)

- Hi Blendoh, I also checked Proquest and there are many sources available. I found one supporting his participation in the Club 57 exhibit so added it. S0091 (talk) 14:24, 19 September 2022 (UTC)
- Much appreciated. I also found some better sources so have added some of those as well. I appreciate your help! Blendoh (talk) 14:52, 19 September 2022 (UTC)
- Well done! Now I challenge you for articles about Harry Smith and Rachel Amodeo (see article about her film What About Me (film)). I came across them in my research about Jones. :) S0091 (talk) 15:59, 19 September 2022 (UTC)
- Harry Smith has quite a decent article - I linked in Henry's. But agreed, Rachel and WAM are both good topics. I'm working with Henry's wife and sister to expand his article to a full bio first, but WAM and Rachel are on my horizon for contributions. Thanks for your help on this one, really appreciated. Blendoh (talk) 16:02, 19 September 2022 (UTC)
- I couldn't find Smith's article. What is the article's title? I am assuming you knew Jones? First, please accept my condolences. I do caution about conflict of interest (read that), though. When one is close to a subject, it can be difficult to contribute with a neutral point of view. Often it ends with trivial bloat and/or plagued with original research. S0091 (talk) 16:12, 19 September 2022 (UTC)
- Smith is Harry Everett Smith. Was pleased to see that Jones was already mentioned in that article. Totally understand the concern about conflict of interest, and the guidelines. I was a friend of Jones, but I will make every effort to stay objective, keep the post to independently verifiable and referenced facts. Again, thanks for the advice and your help with the references - sincerely appreciated! Blendoh (talk) 16:23, 19 September 2022 (UTC)
- Yep, I can see the article is coming along quite well. If you have any questions or need help, you can ask at Teahouse. (You are welcome to also ask me but I am not always around). I will also leave you a message with additional information about editing Wikipedia. S0091 (talk) 16:29, 19 September 2022 (UTC)
- Oh one more thing. One super plus of folks with a COI is obtaining images. You can upload them at WP:Commons. However, be very mindful of WP:Copyright. You may already have an acute awareness of copyright laws but just in case, for example, if his wife has photos she took, then she needs upload them rather than you. S0091 (talk) 16:40, 19 September 2022 (UTC)
- Understood. I have some photos and flyers from the shows. I'll make sure the original photographers and/or designers upload them. Blendoh (talk) 17:59, 19 September 2022 (UTC)
