Marathi people

[edit]

Hi, I believe the deepmal image you removed does not say what location it is from, and is of poorer quality than the one you replaced. I would be interested in your comments on topic. Thanks.Jonathansammy (talk) 16:27, 5 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

A picture speaks a thousand words

[edit]

Hi, I saw that you removed the image of Renuka from Religion in Maharashtra. Is there a Wikipedia policy that says there are too many images in one section? Please forward me the link. Jonathansammy (talk) 20:23, 10 August 2020 (UTC)Also even if there is link, please discuss it first on the the Talkpage of the article to build up consensus on what should be removed.I hope you understand.Thanks.[reply]

Actually my issue was godess of mahur is not kuldaivi of most of Marathi families, there are many like tuljabhawani, kolhapur mahalxmi etc. Therefore I think only images of Ganesh and pandharpur palki is appropriate which has pan maharashtra devotees. I would like to know your opinion on this. Bk kartik21 (talk) 09:32, 11 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Renuka of Mahur, Bhavani of Tuljapur, Mahalaxmi of Kolhapur. and Saptashrungi of Vani are the popular Kuldevis of Maharashtrian families. If you have statistics on each of them, then please forward them. Picture of Renuka was there as just an example of a family Kuldevi. If you think picture of one of the other three is better then go ahead. Being a varkari or being a devotee of Vithoba is a choice but a kuldaiwat comes with ones family, regardless of whether one has any special attachment to that deity. Finally, please have consensus before removing images.Your personal choice and opinions should not come into it. Thanks.Jonathansammy (talk) 15:50, 11 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry for removing image without making consensus. Sincere apologies Bk kartik21 (talk) 15:54, 11 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

No problem.Let us work on these projects together. Also check this link. It is about one community only but it should you give some idea of Kuldaiwats worshipped by different clans.[1] Thanks.Jonathansammy (talk) 16:04, 11 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. Will read it Bk kartik21 (talk) 16:20, 11 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
