Adeccoligaen-players

[edit]

Hi there. Thank you for creating a couple of articles about footballers today. I want to let you know that footballers need to play in Tippeligaen to be considered notable on the English Wikipedia, (per WP:NFOOTBALL) and that those footballers you've created that only played in 1. divisjon are in danger of being deleted. So next time you create an article about a Norwegian footballer, you should create about a player that've played in Tippeligaen. Mentoz86 (talk) 21:23, 30 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

There is a deletion discussion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Ulrik Berglann regarding eigth of your articles that you might want to participate in. Mentoz86 (talk) 02:26, 2 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The article Jean Alassane Mendy has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Never played in Tippeligaen, or another fully pro league, which means ot fails WP:NFOOTY.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. Cut and paste article creation

[edit]

The problem with cutting and pasting the same lede into all your articles is that when you have a typo in one, you keep copying it to the rest. You have written the phrase "x is a Norwegia football player" in your last several article creations. I suspect you wanted to say "x is a Norwegian football player". Please correct. Creation of non-notable footballers

[edit]

Hi there. You have created a whole lot of footballers the last week, but you should read WP:NFOOTBALL, which is the notability guideline for footballers. Then you'll learn that footballers in Norway has to play a match in Tippeligaen to be considered notable, and in other words: you shouldn't create article on footballers before they've made their debut in Tippeligaen. Keep up the good work. Cheers, Mentoz86 (talk) 20:55, 11 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Anders Karlsen, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where an article has substantially identical content to that of an article deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Sir Sputnik (talk) 23:27, 29 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Infobox dates

[edit]

Hi, when updating infobox stats you need to update the |pcupdate= or |club-update= parameter by adding five tildes (~~~~~), which generates the specific time the update was made. Cheers, Mattythewhite (talk) 16:15, 7 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

And could you update the dates for the career stats tables, too? Cheers, Mattythewhite (talk) 16:19, 7 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Footballer infobox stats

[edit]

Hello. When you update footballers' infobox stats, please wait until after any match they're playing in has finished, and then update the correct-as-of timestamp to a date/time after the last match included in the stats. The timestamp is the parameter called |club-update= (some pages still use the old name, |pcupdate=) and the easy way to update it is to replace the contents with five tilde characters ~~~~~, which the software automatically converts to the current date and time. Letting the as-of date get out of sync with the stats, or updating during a game, means the reader can't tell whether the stats are right, wrong, up-to-date or not.

I think you've been told about this before. Please don't ignore it. Thanks for listening, Struway2 (talk) 18:03, 28 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

As a lot of other people told you already, please update also the |club-update= or |pcupdate= parameter when updating Footballer infobox stats. --Jaellee (talk) 19:09, 28 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Stats should not be updated while matches are still in progress, per ‎WP:LIVESCORES. Mattythewhite (talk) 17:15, 29 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Please wait until matches are over before updating stats, you've been told this already and continue to ignore, so your edits are now being considered as disruptive. Please stop. JMHamo (talk) 17:41, 29 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Under the specified criteria, where an article has substantially identical content to that of an article deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

Deletion discussion about Kristoffer Ajer

Hello, Bj94,

I wanted to let you know that there's a discussion about whether Kristoffer Ajer should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Kristoffer Ajer .

If you're new to the process, articles for deletion is a group discussion (not a vote!) that usually lasts seven days. If you need it, there is a guide on how to contribute. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Faroe Islands national football team, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Gunnar Nielsen. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
