59th Academy Awards
I just noticed another thing to fix. The number of viewers decreased from the previous year rather than the 1% increase in the article as according to the source: 58th ceremony = 37.757 million compared to the 59th = 37.190 million. Cowlibob (talk) 07:02, 2 August 2014 (UTC)
Also, Sock and I have nominated another film accolades list for FLC. I was wondering if you could comment on it? Many thanks in advance,[[1]] Cowlibob (talk) 19:14, 2 August 2014 (UTC)

Multiple awards/nominations for Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor
Hi. The Best Actress page has had the sections for multiple awards/nominations for Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress for a long time. Why shouldn't the best actor page have them? The nominations section is especially useful. I guess we could make a new page for nomination totals. Thoughts? charge2charge (talk) 19:22, 18 August 2014 (UTC)
Support for Best Actor page and request
Hi. I resolved my comments to your Academy Award for Best Actor list and added my support. I have my own FA in the works on a 70s sitcom called Temperatures Rising. Care to take a look at the that and see if you can offer any comments on how to improve it? Thanks. Jimknut (talk) 00:17, 16 September 2014 (UTC)

Hi. Hope you're well. I have another film accolades up at FLC: Wikipedia:Featured list candidates/List of accolades received by Blue Jasmine/archive1. If you have some time, would appreciate a review. Cowlibob (talk) 16:58, 19 September 2014 (UTC)
Best Actor Oscar
No, I think that was the last of the comments I had. We should be all good now from my end, and per my usual practice, I'll refrain from declaring support so I can close the FLC without COI when the time comes. Giants2008 (Talk) 00:11, 24 September 2014 (UTC)
Temperatures Rising
Thanks a million for your FAC support of Temperatures Rising. Unfortunately a consensus was not reached and the article was not promoted. Although it had your support along with three others there were two reviewers who opposed the article. I addressed all the concerns of one of them (Nikkirama) but he (or she) never acknowledged this. The other opposition came from Graham Beards, who complained about the article not having a production section. Alas I cannot add this section at present time as I have no valid sources of information about the modus operandi of the series. Temperatures Rising is not available on DVD so there are no audio commentaries or "behind-the-scenes" extras, nor are there any books or websites devoted to it. Graham Beards also kept harping about the prose being "unprofessional" and "not engaging" even though I had a copy-editor plus two published authors look over the text. Beards was at times rather vague about what he thought was wrong with the article. Maybe I'm over-reacting but I found much of his criticism to be done in a seemingly smug and condescending manner. At current time I will leave the article as it is but in the near future I will post it as a good article candidate. Again thanks for your FAC support. Jimknut (talk) 00:55, 29 November 2014 (UTC)

Double daggers
Sorry if I erred. Originally I thought I was fighting vandals. I can see you're a dedicated page watcher, so I'll defer to your knowledge of best style. However, when I looked at other Oscar awards pages, 85th, 84th, 83rd (all featured lists), bolding seems to be the preferred style. Why the discrepancy? BusterD (talk) 01:47, 26 January 2015 (UTC)
TFL notification
Hi, Birdienest. I'm just posting to let you know that Academy Award for Best Actor – a list that you have been heavily involved with – has been chosen to appear on the Main Page as Today's featured list for February 23. The TFL blurb can be seen here. If you have any thoughts on the selection, please post them on my talk page or at TFL talk. Regards, Giants2008 (Talk) 03:28, 31 January 2015 (UTC)
Oscars
You are making no sense whatsoever. Performers shouldn't be listed again we know that, why not do it for presenters then. It just makes no sense to me why this is so bad. We know they're performing it is listed on the top in bold so we know what they're doing. Please just give me solid good answer please, I can't be doing this all day.(Atomic Meltdown (talk) 18:32, 11 February 2015 (UTC)}
February 2015
Your recent editing history at 86th Academy Awards shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you get reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.
Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. One of your edits on the 61st Academy Awards
Somehow caused Barry Levinson's name to disappear-wanted to point this out as I'm not sure exactly what happened. Wgolf (talk) 03:27, 17 February 2015 (UTC)
Revert edits against the use of boldface for Award Winners
Regarding your reverts of the 79th, 72nd and 71st Academy Awards (amongst another user for others) were based on a formatting technicality due to terms of accessibility (vaguely in my point of view, you might want to elaborate exactly), despite the fact that all Award pages since 2000 to current (87th), besides the two that have been reverted, are shown with bold formatting. Such reverts represents a double standard in terms of what style should be preferred. As such these two pages interferes with the consistency of these pages, something which has been an annoyance of mine. Narconarco1 (talk) 05:55, 26 February 2015 (UTC)
- I have posted comments at your current FLC. Was wondering if you could do the same at my one. --FrankBoy (Buzz) 14:14, 27 February 2015 (UTC)
Academy Awards
So these accessibility issues don't exist on any other Academy Awards articles which use boldface, including the last seven years at least? Explain. Italia2006 (talk) 18:12, 27 February 2015 (UTC)

Despite your hard work on Oscars related list, you have only two barnstars and I am pretty surprised. Anyways, from FrB.TG (aka FrankBoy) to Birdienest81 for their work on the lists of the Academy Awards. FrankBoy (Buzz) 20:55, 27 February 2015 (UTC) |
Videos and citation sources
I just saw the question you posted on my talk page several days ago. As long as a video isn't a copyright violation and comes from a reliable source like Hollywood Reporter, there's no reason that it shouldn't be considered a reliable source. The best practice when citing a video or audio source is to point out the time when the content being cited appears, to make verifiability more convenient. Template:Cite AV media has a time= parameter that is helpful. I hope this helps. Giants2008 (Talk) 22:06, 17 March 2015 (UTC)

A article I have had in the sandbox for over a year-animated films that have been nominated for a Oscar
I forgot about this article till today User:Wgolf/sandbox/List of Feature Length Animated films nominated for an Oscar I would love to see this finally become a article but it needs tons of cleanup. Not sure what to do with it though so I figured I ask you what you think I should do. Wgolf (talk) 19:24, 11 April 2015 (UTC)
