69th Academy Awards and Tom Mix filmography

[edit]

Hi there,

Could you look over 69th Academy Awards for featured list candidate? I would appreciate the help.

I also gave feedback for your recent FLC nomination of Tom Mix filmography. I found only grammatical errors, but the list looks very organized and informative.

--Birdienest81 (talk) 04:31, 17 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Jimknut, I have nominated this list for FLC. Can you spare some time to help with that. --Inside the Valley (talk) 16:38, 17 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Jimknut Thanks for your comment. But help me, I don't know much about the wiki markup language. What should I do to correct the sorting. --Inside the Valley (talk) 18:40, 17 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Hai Jimknut, I had completed sorting and made many changes since your last visit. How is it looks now. Visit when time allows. --Inside the Valley (talk) 19:10, 2 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for File:Old Flame.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Old Flame.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. Hank Worden

[edit]

I have again reverted your deletion of Hank Worden (not as your spelling) from the film The Quiet Man. If you truly believe that Worden was not in the film, then you must supply a reliable, sourced, reference stating this and I would be happy to then delete the actor. I would remind you that I have quoted cast lists, on the film Talk page from authors who knew and interviewed director John Ford, which state that Worden was in the film. With thanks and regards, David J Johnson (talk) 21:15, 17 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Apart from the references I supplied on Quiet Man Talk page, I have also checked the:- allmovie.com, afi.com and tcm.com cast lists for this movie and they all credit Hank Worden as trainer in flashback scene. You, therefore, still need to supply a reliable reference that in spite of all these contributions - they are incorrect. Regards, David J Johnson (talk) 21:47, 17 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

You added several references to

  • Whitfield 1997
  • Robinson 1984

in that article, but without full citations it's impossible to know what they reference is. Could you add them please? Is Robinson 1984 really Robinson 1985 or a different one entirely?

Also if you use User:Svick/HarvErrors.js, you'll be notified of these errors in the future. If you don't know how to install it let me know, I'll walk you through it. Headbomb {t · c · p · b} 21:04, 8 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for pointing these out. I have corrected them. Jimknut (talk) 21:31, 8 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

It's much better now. There's still a few that are problematic according to the script though. Current refs 115/116 just says "1984". There are a few Goessel without year, and a few with 2016 for year, where most have 2015. There's also a few Brownlow without year. Headbomb {t · c · p · b} 22:09, 8 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks again. I corrected refs 115 and 116 and the Goessel refs. I looked at the Brownlow refs (twice) and did not find any without the year listed. Jimknut (talk) 22:44, 8 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah I added the Brownlow years, since it was pretty obvious it was 1999. Headbomb {t · c · p · b} 22:55, 8 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Once again - Thanks. Jimknut (talk) 22:56, 8 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The script still points a clash with Robinson 1984 (short footnotes) vs Robinson 1985 (long citation) though. Headbomb {t · c · p · b} 22:58, 8 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

From what I can tell, it seems that 1985 is the correct year. Headbomb {t · c · p · b} 22:59, 8 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, I think they're all fixed now.Jimknut (talk) 23:05, 8 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
The script gives the all clear, so I think so too. Like I said, if you don't know how to install it, I can walk you through it. It's very useful to have around if you write articles using short footnotes like this one. Headbomb {t · c · p · b} 23:13, 8 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Sure! Jimknut (talk) 23:15, 8 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Basically, you can go to User:Jimknut/common.js and add the following bit of text

importScript('User:Svick/HarvErrors.js'); // Backlink: [[User:Svick/HarvErrors.js]]

Then if you go to [1], you should see a bunch of

  • Robinson 1984, p. ###. Harv error: link from CITEREFRobinson1984 doesn't point to any citation.

types of warnings everywhere. And none of those in the latest version. Headbomb {t · c · p · b} 23:33, 8 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

COOL! Thanks yet again. Jimknut (talk) 23:47, 8 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
