Have you heard of the Stop Snitchin' T-shirts? If you have, then you know the increasing popularity on them! The link comes directly from the source. After victim advocates, political officials, Bill O'Reilly and myself (of course), realize that the content in them are highly offensive especially towards people who are on trial trying to testify against someone. I mean I am a firm believer in the First Admendment, Fourteenth Admendment and the United States Constitution|Constitution but there's a line drawn when they use those T-shirts for threats against plantiffs and proscuators! If you get the chance, could you update the Made Men/Almighty RSO article. Al-Aywsam is a clothing company affiliated with Benzino and The Source. Fearsome Foursome

Hi Bill. I was just looking at your new Fearsome Foursome article. I'm not too good on football history, so I'm not going to touch the article in this early stage, but I did find this page that reports that it was a group of Lions, not Chargers or Rams, that were the original FF. What I'm curious about is whether the term itself is original to football commentary. I know it's used in some pretty old comic books too, like the Fantastic Four and Batman, but it's such an obvious alliteration that it might be older than football and comics. In any case, it's only a matter of time until someone adds a non-football quartet to the page. -Meegs 20:11, 13 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

BENZINO ON A RAMPAGE (Should we add it to The Source article or Benzino article)!?

If you heard, BENZINO goes after JULIA BEVERLY former photographer and writer to OZONE MAGAZINE and this will be the "Nail in The Coffin" for his sexual harrasment lawsuit! Give it a listen you'll hear some most interesting and yet inappropriate statements from Raymond Scott. You don't have to place multiple categories on the articles. You can make one category and make into subcategories. I mean is like you don't have to place Category:Mascots and Category:Sports mascots onto Staley Da Bear's article if it is in Category:NFL Mascots. It will be cluttered. In addition Category:Mascots and Category:Sports mascots pages would be cluttered. It is best to organized articles into certain subcategories. I fixed your Category:NFL Mascots by making it into a subcategory of Category:National Football League and Category:Sports mascots. In addition, I nominated your category for renaming because you're not suppose to put abbreviations on categories and just like Wikipedia headers: Capitalise the first letter of the first word and any proper nouns in headings, but leave the rest lower case. Whats up? Hi, I'm trying to gather some more interest and support for the Wikipedia:WikiProject Punk music. Please check out the topics and lets get our WikiProject to function better. Recently, I've taken an interest in the Wikipedia:WikiProject hip hop and I consider that WikiProject to be better developed. I am now writing to usernames on the hiphopWP who might be interested in helping with the punkmusicWP. Hopefully we can all work together to improve articles relating to punk as has been done well with hip hop. This is not "disruptive editing" in any sense. The listings for the awards (including the Template are terribly inconsistent. The films of the 1980s and 1990s direct to the year of the ceremony (not the year), and the list of the 2000s and 2010s direct to the year of the films (not the ceremony). This is unacceptable and needs to be corrected. I have not deleted any information, and have only clarified the situation by making all articles uniform by listing them as "1st," "2nd," "3rd," etc., as well as adding disambiguation pages. This is absolutely acceptable, ESPECIALLY since several of the entries don't even exist yet. I added the 1989 and 1990 (fifth and sixth annual, respectively) listings myself. I am copy/pasting the information under their new names (1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc.) and then changing the original pages into re-directs. There is no duplication of information; the disambiguation pages are similar to those for the Academy Awards (see 2010 Academy Awards). These would not work as a subsection, because each individual ceremony has its own page. It would not work under the global Independent Spirit Awards heading. I did not create these pages, all except two (1989 and 1990) predated my involvement. All I am doing is streamlining them so they are consistent and won't conflict when all years are completed. These pages have been around for years, and each year/ceremony is its own article. These corrections would not have a place under the main article. There are separate articles for each Super Bowl, Major League Baseball season, Academy Awards ceremony, etc. It is perfectly reasonable to not only let these pages exist, but to make sure that they are correct, well-formatted and that there are no conflicts. Hmm...That's odd. I immediately thought what you were doing was spam, because in Twinkler they came up a new pages one after another which looked like spam, and since they were showing up so fast. I just believed it was in best interest to make them subsections. But as you say those pages were already created, I can't really do anything about it. DreamFieldArts 6:15, 26 February 2012 (UTC)
I never threatened that you would be banned. When I said not as big...I mean the article size...The Oscars Page is to big to include every single one, as the ISA page is quiet small and readers will not feel like they are reading a harry potter novel. I never said stop adding pages or you will be banned...I said please stop making new pages...as we needed to figure out what the right resolution was for this problem. In the future it would be appreciated if you would ask questions, rather than ordering people to stop adding pages. I am a long-time Wikipedian, and have added hundreds of articles, and none of them frivolous. I am not a spammer, and I take my duties here more seriously than most. I am going to continue to work on the project until further notice, as I think it is a good one. I agree that the ISA's are not as prestigious or as big as the Oscars, but they are an event, a worthy one that have lasted for over a quarter of a century. Sir, with due respect, you threatened to have me blocked from editing. (You have somehow removed this from the archives, but I saw it last night. It had the big hand and said final warning.) I understand the need to stop spammers and people acting in bad faith. I myself have asked for the removal of several articles that were clearly just copied from advertisements. I understand you have a tough job. But your very first contact with me (at the top) was "Please stop your disruptive editing," but had you done a little investigation, you would have noticed this was not disruptive, and that I am acting in good faith.
I understand you are doing your best in a tough task, but perhaps before you order (yes, you did order me to stop editing with the threat of being blocked, I would appreciate if you just admit this) someone to remove their pages, perhaps look at their edit history and see if they look like a spammer or a sock-puppet. I am clearly neither, and have the best interests of this venture at heart. So perhaps before you hit the Speedy Delete button by default, do a couple cursory steps of research to see if the person looks like they have done this before, as I have for almost 7 years. Just because something is not notable to you, doesn't mean it isn't notable to someone else. (The Independent Spirit Awards, while not on par with the Academy Awards, have been going on every year for 27 years, and are broadcast live on television. I personally like having a list of the nominees/winners on Wikipedia.) A lot of us know what we are doing, and Wikipedia will die without the contributions of the hundreds of thousands of us, so let us do our jobs. Thank you.

But by accident, I was going to post it on the page Tilfery, but by accident it ended up on yours. Sorry about confusing you with that. Hi Bill,
I see that you have asked for formal mediation because of problems you are having with co-Wikipedian DreamFieldArts on creating pages for the individual Independent Spirit Awards. Although I do believe that he (he acts in good faith, as that is one of the pillars of Wikipedia (assume good faith) but I do think that he seems to know only the Speedy Deletion button. Because of this I posted a long long letter on his talk page. Because DFA cleans up his Talk page these comments from me might get deleted after some time - so if you can't find my comments towards him please check out this archieved page.

I send you this information as you might like to refer to it during the upcoming mediation request in which you ask for mediation between you and DFA. I hope that the mediation will solve your issues.

Just as a background note: DFA nominated an article I wrote on Rijkman Groenink for Speedy Deletion. According to him RG wasn't noteworthy and because I thought (and think) that RG is more then noteworthy enough I contacted DFA, and this discussion lead to him removing the SD nomination. But if you have just spent a lot of time in writing ones article it is very disappointing if you shortly thereafter see this posting on your Talk page and/or finding your article in THIS state. As said: I did start a discussion with DFA on his talk page (if cleaned up see: this archieve for the original discussion).

Thanks so much for your help on this. Indeed, it is supremely frustrating to do so much hard work and then have someone arbitrarily threaten to get you blocked. (DFA deleted that part from my talk page.) Anyone who did a cursory look at my work would see that it isn't spam. And although I've never heard of the person you created an article for, that doesn't mean the person isn't noteworthy. There are literally hundreds of thousands of Wiki articles of people I've never heard of; how are we supposed to learn about them? Hi Bill, your friend DFA reacted to my comments. His main excuse is Befelh ist Befelh (my interpretation): it's his job to act like a teacher who rips up a paper of one of his students because it is crap. And as it his his job it will never change.

Hi Tonkie, I read your comments (kudos to you for keeping your cool) and his responses, and to be honest, I have to respectfully disagree with you that he's acting in "good faith," because I feel like he is trying to be the artiber of what is notable and what isn't, as if one person could somehow be a master of all subjects. He completely deleted his threat to have me blocked from editing, and then denied it, so there seems to be a good deal of "cover your ass" here. I am just going to continue editing as I was (and I was on a real roll too, before he screwed up my mojo). He is the only Wikipedia editor I've ever seen that actually wants to reduce the amount of information on the site, rather than expand it. (He is already trying to merge pages that have no business being merged). Again, I appreciate the moral support here, it's good to know that someone else is doing the right thing. Where I come in on the "unremarkable person," is that when I first started out, I created many people pages...but they were all deleted in the thought that they were unremarkable. I felt fusterated...and I know how you feel. But how I was treated, is the rules that I was told to follow by, which I do. As Tonkie says he wrote me a message on my talk page so we could work this out. We did and I removed the tag, that I now new how he was a remarkable man. I appreciate your open-mindedness on this subject, DFA; my request to you is that before you assume that someone is unremarkable, ask yourself two things: 1) might I not know who this person is because he/she is outside of my scope of knowledge? and 2) Is the editor one who has a good track record, and acts in good faith. I understand you are trying to do the right thing, but your delivery comes off as shrill, unwelcoming, and quite frankly a little rude. If you look at my history or Tonkie's history, you will see that we have been doing this for years, and shouldn't be dismissed out of hand. Just dig a little before you request a delete. @DFA (decreased indent as it became hardly readable): Late reaction, but yeah: you probably should have digged deeper. Google is a great search-engine but sometimes it tries imho to hard to think for you by filtering for your location/language and even automatically routing you to your local Google (when living in the NL or using a workstation with a non-US OS on it it goes always to your local Google, even when you select google.com (in stead of google.nl for Netherlands or Google.ie for my current country). And also the results of a search differs: when I set up a proxy or a VPN gateway in the US I get different results then when working locally.
And when digging but not finding anything directly youd could try another search-engine like Bing or one of the many tools that use 10+ search-engines and then create an output/report based on the results of the combined search.
@Bill - I continue to differ from opinion about good faith: I continue to think that DFA doesn't do what he does to disrupt Wiki, I think that in his mind he really thinks he is doing the right thing. That he makes errors and that he should have learned from them and not continue on the way he was doing is maybe a fault of him (and one you can blame him for) - but as he does communicate with you [and me] to defend his actions is for me a strong indication that his intentions are good, but that he needs more experience and guidance in it [happy to act as some sort of mentor if you want that DFA]. @Tonkie: The more time that has passed, the more I agree with you. I think that the approach is what threw me off. I have experienced some conflict with Wiki editors who have wielded their influence in a way that says "I am an authority, don't question me." This is why I am leery of those who simply dismiss ideas out of hand or revert without discussion. What DFA does is important (eliminating spam, slander and waste), but I would hope that his first move when questioning the notability of something would be to ask rather than immediately accuse someone of disruptive editing. Also, deleting a paper trail is sketchy, so I would advise to keep all communication history until the dispute is resolved. Otherwise it looks like you're trying to cover your tracks. Glad I found someone that agrees with me :-) Normally I have to defend myself on talk pages (same as you've experienced probably: fighting against the bobo's and bureaucracy in Wiki. Nevertheless I do think that most peoples intentions are good, but the (initial) intentions are not what's counting in the end. Mr. Khadaffi's initial intentions with Libya were good as were the intentions of the FARC or the Sandinista's (note: not that I want to compare DFA with any of them: just to make my point very extreme). But some people just have to learn their way how to do their important job while not 'putting off' other Wikipedians. From DFA's talk page I've learned that he was making to much errors of judgement at the moment and was aksed to stop NPPing for a while. I do hope however that he takes that up in a positive manner - looks and learns how more experienced guys (in NPPing - not contribting to Wiki in gerenal) and then when he feels comfortable (again) that he is up to the task picks it up again; as said: that work is important and not that many people willing to do it on a regular/structural basis. I'm convinced many (if not most) people underestimate the skills required to be a good NPPer (underestimated by starting/potential NPPers and even more by 'normal' contributers finding their contributions being turned down/commented by a NPPer) and it does need not only a lot of general knowledge and good Wikipedia authoring skills - but also a lot of tact and at the same time a thick skin as not many authors who's articles are commented accept that easily. It is then very easy that you quickly get into the defense and that can show as 'my opinion is law'. All understandable but not good. So although I did complain about his actions on my subject and same about the comm-skills in your discussion, I really do appreciate his willinngness to help Wiki keep its high standards. (I will notify him of this link, he did follow the discussion earlier - but not sure if he still follows it: so if you see feedback from him: I 'invited' him). I think we're definitely on the same page. Honestly, as corny as this sounds, I really value Wikipedia. I think that it is the most brilliant method by which we can disseminate information that I've ever seen. (The "many hands make light work" philosophy works here.) It allows people from different areas of expertise to put their information into one place. For example, as much as I am interested in economics, I know next to nothing about it: I can come here and get a good overview on it. Conversely, I know everything there is to know (exaggerating) about the Buffalo Bills American football team, as they have been my obsession for two decades-plus. It is a real joy to be able to take my passion for the team and provide it for those who might be interested in it. And when it comes to an article that might not be notable, I would err on the side of assuming it's notable every time, until a consensus of people more knowledgeable than I can make the decision. Couldn't agree more with you. I don't think I'll ever invoke your speciality. My contributions are a bit wider: Roads, railways and airports in Morocco, and some articles on light rail in Dublin, networking-standards and recently Powerconnect switches and also for the Dell blade system + recently Force10. But also the technologies in networking like FCoE or X.25. And then -not in a series- a lemma on my old yacht], the Fisher line. Hi. Thanks for your cleanup work on 1978 Tampa Bay Buccaneers season, where you broke up the text into shorter paragraphs. Something I'd like for you to pay attention to in the future, is the placement of citations. Please don't break up paragraphs in such a way that it isolates statements from the references that support them. In particular:

According to Don Shula, "With John McKay's type of offense, an outstanding tight end is absolutely essential. It cannot go without one". This happened to be one of the positions hit hardest by injury in 1977.
With most of their mid-round draft picks traded away, the Buccaneers were looking for a trade that would bring them several draft picks.[14]

Placing the paragraph break in the middle of this leaves the Shula quote unsupported by a citation, and Wikipedians hate unreferenced quotes. I myself needed to refer to that citation for another article, and couldn't find it. The original article has vanished from online archives, and I lost at least a half hour trying to figure out what happened here. Hey! I was working on a list and I noticed that there is some inconsistency in years for Independent Spirit Awards. You've addressed the inconsistency here: Template talk:IS Awards Chron, but I think it's better if we go by the more common naming (unless there's consensus somewhere that I've missed). All sources for the award seem to list the year the award was given as the year of the award and not the year the nominated films were released.
