My apologies -- I did not believe I had created a page as specified above, but merely added the name of the organization and a link to their website to the list of lineage societies. I do not know how to delete the page if it does, in fact, exist as a result. I would also like to know why my edit of Reese Witherspoon (2 years ago) was rejected -- she's a cousin of mine and I have the documentation to prove what I wrote, that she is a 1st cousin (many times removed) as i am to the Rev. Witherspoon who signed the Declaration of Independence. Many thanks. Beth Bethullman (talk) 23:06, 30 December 2019 (UTC)
- @Bbb23 and Þjarkur: Can you answer the questions about the deleted article? Thanks in advance.
- As for the reverted edit, I'm guessing it's because the reference you provided was 'c00k/&', which doesn't make a lot of sense. You would have to provide enough information where, if someone wanted to, they could look everything up in a genealogical library/historical society. I dream of horses If you reply here, please ping me by adding {{U|I dream of horses}} to your message (talk to me) (My edits) @ 05:20, 31 December 2019 (UTC)
- Hello Bethullman, it's all good, the page you created was just one external link. You can start a new article if you think there exist enough independant, reliable sources containing significant coverage of the organization, you may want to use the articles for creation process to submit it for review if you're unsure. As for Witherspoon, we can't publish family knowledge or unpublished family geneology (see: No original research), but if this information exists in a reliable book (not self-published) or a newspaper then we can add it in. – Thjarkur (talk) 14:11, 31 December 2019 (UTC)
