Hello, DoubleGrazing, I can understand why you see a conflict of interest there - I do know Stephan Zipfel personally. I thougt it would be easiest to write my first article about someone I know. I did however check all the information with sources and put them as citations.

Does that mean that my article has no chance of being published? Or could it be rewritten/reviewed by a person, that is impartial?

Hi,

No, this absolutely does not mean that the article couldn't be published (in fact, I'm minded to accept it, as the person seems likely notable): writing about a topic that you have a COI in is not forbidden, although it is discouraged, because it can be very difficult to remain neutral about something you are familiar with. That said, I think you've actually managed that pretty well, as I cannot really find anything wrong with this draft.

You need to disclose your COI, however; you can find the instructions for doing that above, in the third bullet point ('disclose'). You can add your disclosure either on your own user page, or on the talk page of the article(s) in question, or both. I would also advise you to read the above message carefully and generally familiarise yourself with the COI guidelines.

One more thing: because this is an article on a living person (WP:BLP), referencing must be done with particular care. Every material statement, anything potentially contentious, and all private personal and family details must be clearly supported by immediate inline citations to reliable published sources. This means that at the start of the lead section, where you give this person's DOB, there should be a citation immediately after the closing bracket, but there isn't, and the next citation that follows doesn't provide this information, which means that the DOB remains unreferenced. Similarly, the first sentence in the 'Life' section states that "Zipfel studied Medicine in Heidelberg, Frankfurt am Main and London", but this is also unreferenced. If you could please go through the text and add supporting citations where necessary, or else remove anything that cannot be supported by a reliable published source, I would then be happy to accept this draft. Hello DoubleGrazing,

I added a Disclosure of COI to the talk page of the draft. Is this sufficient?

I also added some references to support some details and removed others, where I couldn't find a reference online. I verified the date and place of birth with Stephan Zipfel, but as the only other source I found online only stated the year, I only wrote born 1962.
