Getting started

Hello, following your 'comments' in your sandbox I will add some information here which should help with the points you raised.

Please read carefully, all the links in the welcome message above; they provide a good deal of useful information.
Some experience of editing generally is recommended as then you can get a 'feel' of how Wikipedia works and what is acceptable etc.
If you have a topic in mind for an article then seeking out similar articles to see how they are laid out and structured is a good idea.
When you feel ready to start a new article then a review of the guide to article creation and the manual of style is important together with WP:REFB for the guidelines to adding sources.
It is probably best to begin a new topic in draftspace where you can submit for review by experienced editors, who can suggest ways to improve it. To do so go via WP:WIZ (recommended for newer editors) or WP:AFC to create a draft. You can develop the draft over time but a draft can be deleted if not edited for 6 months.
A useful guide to article creation can also be found at this page.
Biographical articles (especially of living persons must be properly referenced with inline citations.
Above all, the subject has to pass the notability guidelines.
If you get stuck at any point, you can ask at the help desk or the teahouse; the latter is more centred on newer ediotrs.
