I welcome you & wish you success. tell us about yourself (or write to me). git vuch, Shilonite 16:44, 5 November 2006 (UTC) Thanks! How do I write to you? and where am I supposed to "tell us about yourself". Thanks Atbannett 19:04, 5 November 2006 (UTC)

About your edit to Yuval Steinitz: My mistake. Thanks for correcting me!
In answer to the question above, you can write about yourself in your user page, which you get to by clicking on Atbannett at the top of your screen. --Zvika 09:10, 7 November 2006 (UTC)

Dear Atbannett,
I second what Zvika wrote. You can visit my user page, browse it and use it as base for your own. I think that noting language skills is important (see Category:User languages). Location and affiliations help, but aren't imperative if you don’t want to reveal them - that's why I suggested that you write directly to me. Notice the vertical bar on the left? It has an option “E-mail this user”. Through that you can write to me personally (what we don’t want the public to see.

Userpagious emptiosus

USEYOURNAME Greetings and Welcome! I noticed that your username shows up red when you post an edit -- in case you were wondering why, this is because your userpage is devoid of content. If you were to place anything at all on your userpage (text, photographs, etc.), your username would then appear blue by default. By convention, most serious contributing editors place information about themselves on their userpages, and as a result, editors whose usernames are still red may appear to other editors as lacking a serious motivation in both editing Wikipedia articles as well as joining the Wikipedia community at large. I therefore recommend that you place something on your userpage, such as information relating to your city of residence and occupation -- basically anything that will allow another editor to identify with you and peer into your mind a bit. You can check out other editors' userpages to get an idea of what is normally included (find them easiest by checking the history tab on randomly chosen yet substantial articles), and even copy/paste from other editors' userpages (modifying the information to reflect your own, of course). Proposed deletion of Ofer Grosbard

The article Ofer Grosbard has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fails WP:PROF and WP:GNG.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Eli Cohen

Given your previous assistance of an editor with a clear conflict of interest at the Eli Cohen article, and your sudden appearance at this article today after a brand new account adding promotional material was reverted, I hope you don't mind me asking whether you have a conflict of interest with the subject or what your relationship with the Omrierental account is? Unfortunately your editing pattern on this article raises some questions.

I'm also surprised that an experience editor would revert clearly incorrectly formatted references back into the article without trying to fix then, unless it was just a blind revert? Number 57 17:22, 8 February 2018 (UTC)

Hi. Since I follow this article I noticed the change. I did edit it slightly and as I wrote - I think it is notable. I'd be happy if you can edit it and make it better. And to answer your question - I have no conflict of interest or connection with Mr. Cohen. Atbannett (talk) 20:59, 8 February 2018 (UTC)
I'm rather dubious about your response given your previous involvement in the article and infrequent editing, and I noticed you didn't answer the question about Omrierental. And the insistence on reverting clearly incorrectly formatted references when they've already been pointed out to you (you're an experienced editor so you know full well how to sort it out) is really quite appalling conduct. Regardless of this, I still don't think the information is worth including, so please discuss on talk per WP:BRD if you still want it included. Number 57 21:29, 8 February 2018 (UTC)
Sorry. I missed your question about this editor. I don't know him/her. Atbannett (talk) 22:02, 8 February 2018 (UTC)

Hello, Atbannett. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Sivan Rahav-Meir, for deletion because it's a biography of a living person that lacks references. If you don't want Sivan Rahav-Meir to be deleted, please add a reference to the article.

If you don't understand this message, you can leave a note on my talk page.

Thanks,

Alan Hoffmann moved to draftspace

An article you recently created, Alan Hoffmann, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Hi there, I'm HasteurBot. I just wanted to let you know that Draft:Alan Hoffmann, a page you created, has not been edited in 5 months. The Articles for Creation space is not an indefinite storage location for content that is not appropriate for articlespace.

If your submission is not edited soon, it could be nominated for deletion. If you would like to attempt to save it, you will need to improve it.

You may request Userfication of the content if it meets requirements.

If the deletion has already occured, instructions on how you may be able to retrieve it are available at WP:REFUND/G13.

Thank you for your attention. HasteurBot (talk) 01:29, 17 December 2019 (UTC)

Your draft article, Draft:Alan Hoffmann

Hello, Atbannett. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Alan Hoffmann".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia! Lapablo (talk) 15:49, 19 January 2020 (UTC)

Request reason:

Hi! I was surprised to see this morning that I was blocked from Wikipedia, without the curtesy of speaking with me beforehand. I have been editing in Wikipedia for over 16 years and have contributed tens of thousands of edits, mostly in Hebrew Wikipedia. After trying to understand why this surprise block happenned - I saw that a few weeks ago, a Wikipedian claimed to have evidence that my vote against a block of another Wikipedian was somehow illegal. I have no idea what this evidence might be, but I can confirm that I am not a sockpuppet on any other user as and you can see from my previous edits - I do participate in discussions and talk pages, from time to time, in both English and Hebrew. I would also hope that in the future - if someone has questions about something I did - they would at least ask me, before using this tool. Thank you very much, Atbannett (talk) 12:09, 12 December 2023 (UTC)

Decline reason:

I'm not a checkuser, so I can't review the evidence, but I can tell you that we just don't unblock people blocked as sockpuppets just because they say they're not. I mean, if we did, why should we even bother having a sockpuppetry policy then? — Daniel Case (talk) 10:40, 16 December 2023 (UTC)

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Summarizing: I woke up one morning to see that I am blocked, with a reference to some "evidence", which I cannot see and without asking me to defend myself. Then after I appealed, the appeal was denied by an admin, who didn't think that seeing the evidence is needed. Guilty unless proven innocent? I cannot fight this untrue charge, without knowing what I am supposed to be denying. I will focus on my edits in Hebrew Wikipedia and will be back here, in a few weeks.
