Bollywood Film list criteria
[edit]Anshuk currently we are looking at lists from reputed online sites ( upperstall) which are mentioned on the article page, if you know of other online resources please do let us know. Voting could be a problem as we do not have a huge base of knowledgable people and hence the list can get biased due to low particpation. Haphar 14:05, 12 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit]The links you removed provided useful additional information on the Erie economy. Maybe the wording looked like an advertisement, but the links highlight state development programs in Pennsylvania. You might have relocated the links to the External links section at the bottom instead of deleting them. I placed the links in context for ease of use. --Pat (talk) 10:42, 5 December 2007 (UTC)

Speedy deletion of Lichfield Rugby Union Football Club
[edit]A tag has been placed on Lichfield Rugby Union Football Club requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Anshuk (talk) 10:18, 29 August 2008 (UTC)

List of Rachael Ray guests
[edit]I appreciate your tact. Firstly, I am a list person. I make lists. You know how many pages I have been through on the site to get all those on the list? So far I have been through 80 pages. I do appreciate that you have noticed I put a lot of work into it.
But anyways, it is a good resource to see who has been on the show. I have been thinking making a list for the Ellen Show like this one. Mr. C.C. (talk) 09:50, 8 October 2008 (UTC)

Regarding Bheja Fry
[edit]Hi Anshuk, I am new to wikipedia and not very good at editing... There is a 2007 film by name "Bheja fry", and Bheja fry is also a non-vegetarian dish of fried brains... I was trying to create a disambiguation page for "Bheja fry", and I did manage, but there is a redirect Bheja fry page, and I dont know how to fix this issue. Can you please look into it if you're an old user and good at editing... Thanks. Lilaac (talk) 19:43, 8 May 2009 (UTC)
Speedy deletion of Hemchandra Kanungo
[edit]Dear Anshuk,
I have given my reply to the issue of Speedy deletion on the Hemchandra Kanungo. I believe that reply will be evaluated on the basis of the contents.
I must repeat that A7 does not apply. Secondly, Hemchandra Kanungo is a historic personality, an Indian revolutionary associated with Ghosh brothers.

Unreferenced BLPs
[edit]Hello Anshuk! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 297 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

Foreign-language contributions
[edit]Hi. {{db-foreign}} is only used in the situation (not common in my experience) where an article from a foreign WP has been cut-and-pasted here (the point being that to do that loses the contribution record - there is a procedure at WP:TRANSLATE for doing it properly). The foreign WP reference should be included in the tag, e.g. {{db-foreign|source=es:Warekena}}.
Much more usually, what we get is a foreign text input by somebody who probably doesn't know any other WP exists. The right tag then is {{notenglish}}, which is not a speedy request - because sometimes these articles are worth translating. When that expands on the article page, it gives you a message and a link to the place to paste it on WP:PNT, where someone who knows the language may pick it up and translate or PROD or whatever is appropriate.
If you know or can guess the language, then put, e.g., {{notenglish|Spanish}}. That gives a more useful template, including a link to the relevant foreign Wikipedia, and also a link to Google Translate, which will show you a machine translation - rough and ready, but often good enough to tell you that the article is about a NN band or person and can be speedy tagged without bothering to list it at PNT.
The Google Translate facility can be used to help guess the language - e.g. if it looks like Arabic but the translation makes no sense, try Farsi.
There is a useful set of message templates such as {{contrib-ru1}} to give the author a bilingual message saying we require English and pointing him to the foreign WP. List of them at WP:PNT/T. The most exotic one I have yet used for real is {{contrib-sq1}}.

You are now a Reviewer
[edit]Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, is currently undergoing a two-month trial scheduled to end 15 August 2010.
Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under pending changes. Pending changes is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.
When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.
If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles (talk) 04:58, 20 June 2010 (UTC)

Source removed as I couldn't even find an apt 'about us', besides the website you added doesn't ring a bell in my mind. It isn't a community recognized web name. We are continuously experiencing IP vandalism on this article, and I have also initiated a semi protection, I'll add an appropriate citation if required, thanks for your contributions.Fanofbollywood (talk) 07:36, 4 July 2011 (UTC)
Hi, a user has been trying to cite their article which is dubious on the Delhi Belly page. Check citation #10. I have been trying to post a link to the actual interview and a user has been pasting a link to their own article, which has no credibility compared to the link with the actual interview. How is posting a better source/link considered spam? It's spam if you constantly try to post a link with no credibility. On top of this, this user has posted a nasty comment on my page. Shameful. --MajorBollywoodFan (talk) 19:01, 4 July 2011 (UTC)

Anshuk, I created a section called 'Design' (similar to the wiki page of 'The Dark Knight'). I also posted a citation. My site is the first to publish this information. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.230.16.12 (talk) 01:27, 6 July 2011 (UTC)
- Introducing the Design section is a novel idea for Bollywood movies. Keep it up. But I don't think a rojakhan.com external link can be allowed on wikipedia. You own this site and this act amounts to advertising and an obvious conflict of interest. I hope you understand why we can't allow all the site owners to start advertising on wikipedia. You can surely replace it with the TOI link as present in the rojakhan article. Your additions to wikipedia are realy helping the community. Also I spent some time on your site and it seems above average. Keep up the good work on both ends. --Anshuk (talk) 06:00, 6 July 2011 (UTC)
First off, thank you. RojaKhan is new and we already have quite a number of unique visitors who return several times daily. Second, I get the point now about wiki citations. So I'll change the link and put the TOI link instead. Take care. --MajorBollywoodFan (talk) 12:28, 6 July 2011 (UTC)
Anshuk, I just re-checked the TOI link (http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/entertainment/bollywood/news-interviews/Hrithiks-Agneepath-postponed/articleshow/9111692.cms). It talks about why the movie has been postponed to 2012 (which by the way also has to be changed on Agneepath's wiki page). However, TOI does not go into how the first look of Hrithik's character was revealed and so forth, which is what needs to be cited. I'll see if there is a prominent site that gives this particular information. --MajorBollywoodFan (talk) 12:36, 6 July 2011 (UTC)
Done. MoneyControl.com had an article on it.

Your request for rollback
[edit]Hi Anshuk. After reviewing your request for rollback, I have enabled rollback on your account. Keep in mind these things when going to use rollback:
- Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
- Rollback should be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
- Rollback should never be used to edit war.
- If abused, rollback rights can be revoked.
- Use common sense.
If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:New admin school/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into troubles or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism. Happy editing! INeverCry 21:07, 29 May 2013 (UTC)
