Read my above post and do edit properly. do not introduce errors. For telugu language you need to write te as it is the ISO code. Also, your edit on Guntur page, I say it is not the proposed capital. Check references properly.--Vin09 (talk) 09:06, 13 March 2015 (UTC)

Removal of Indic names

hello Ankush 89, Thank you for your edits on wikipedia. But why you are removing indic names from various articles? Adding name in local languages is policy of wikipedia and you can see all city or biography articles on wikipedia also named in their local languages. Please cooperate with wikipedia. Thank you. --Human3015 16:53, 3 April 2015 (UTC)
@Human3015: As per WP:INDICSCRIPT, should not add indic scripts.--Vin09 (talk) 09:56, 4 April 2015 (UTC)

Solapur Name edit

It is very clear that solapur is derived form hindi words. Why are you changing it to Marathi? Is Rampur in UP is derived from Marathi? .pur means village in hindi , and in marathi it means Flood, in marathi sixteen is totally different from Hindi. Its Wikipedia's policy to put information without personal resentment. Please Cooperate with Wikipedia

Atonway (talk) 10:44, 4 April 2015 (UTC)

@Atonway:, ya, I'm also telling him to cooperate with wikipedia but he is keep on doing same things. :( --Human3015 14:52, 5 April 2015 (UTC)
@Human3015: I see you doing the same. Not co-operating and re-instating indic scripts despite pointing out to the RFC. Ankush is at least adhering to these while editing. Regarding Solapur, I don't see you have any disagreement with Ankush, but you are still pointing out. Please do remember that non-cooperation was from your side regarding indic scripts and if you have any disagreement to the edits he made in Solapur, please discuss in a WP:CIVIL manner.
Ankush, I'd say, it's best if you could take the discussion regarding Solapur to WT:IN.  LeoFrank  Talk 18:42, 5 April 2015 (UTC)
@LeoFrank:, yes, im always being respectful to everyone, Ankush is my friend. I don't have any problem with his Solapur edit, i'm not even involved in it, i just have overall objection on Ankush 89 for removing indic or local language text from intro or lead of the article. If we read articles related to China, Japan or Spain then we can see one word written in Chinese, Japanese or spanish in bracket in lead. But Ankush is removing it. He is saying that consensus has been made 3 years ago on removing local language script. Then we have to remove it from all world articles. --Human3015 19:17, 5 April 2015 (UTC)

Indicscripts

Please read this clarification. WP:INDICSCRIPTS do not apply to topics that are under WP:PAK as well, and Urdu is not an indic script anyway, it's persio-arabic. Avoid removing the script from articles that are not solely managed by WP:IND. Indicscript consensus was gained at WP:IND and it applies to only that wikiproject as per the clarification. Articles such as Lahore or Shalimar Gardens, Lahore are under the scope of WP:PAK. There's no such consensus of removing native languages there. --lTopGunl (talk) 17:28, 6 April 2015 (UTC)

Maharashtra

Hi, I have added the caption after some effort. While finding a way to add the caption, I visited other articles on geographic places. If an article had an image then more often than not the image was of a montage of different places in that city/state/country etc. Just an observation. Regards. Jonathansammy (talk) 22:07, 9 April 2015 (UTC)

Recent edits

Hi, please can you avoid adding varna to the lead and infoboxes of articles. It is almost always contentious and the consensus has long been that we are better off discussing the matter in the body of the article. Similarly, adding Indic scripts to India articles should be avoided, although we do have consensus to include them for places (provided that the only ones used are those in the official language of the place). Thanks. - Sitush (talk) 10:09, 10 April 2015 (UTC)

Solapur

Hi. If you have reliable sources for citations for the Solapur article, feel free to add them to the article (see WP:CITE for how to do that, or if you're not sure how to do it just provide the links here and I'll check them and add them to the article if I think they're good). At the moment, that whole "Etymology and history" section is entirely unsourced, so providing some sources would be very helpful indeed. If you can find any English-language sources, that would be excellent (as this is the English-language Wikipedia, they're much easier to verify for the majority of readers), but if I can get a reasonable translation from Google or if you could help, Marathi sources are certainly acceptable. And if there are any Hindi sources available too, that might help add balance and stop any ethnic arguments. Squinge (talk) 08:19, 7 April 2015 (UTC)

  • Your question of whether to use Kannada or Marathi references is a good one, and I think there are arguments for both (as you say, official versus majority usage). We can actually use any language providing the source satisfies WP:RS, but my thought is that we should perhaps use both, and possibly some Hindi sources too, so it doesn't look like the article is favouring the speakers of one language over others. What do you think? Squinge (talk) 08:27, 7 April 2015 (UTC)

Yes Squinge, your point of view is absolutely correct and i will try to include hindi sources, can u plz check whether my 1st citation about Maharashtra Tourism is Solapur right on wikipedia Ankush 89 (talk) 10:17, 7 April 2015 (UTC)

Sure, I'm a bit busy now but I'll have a look later today. Squinge (talk) 10:30, 7 April 2015 (UTC)

WP:INDICSCRIPTS and Hinduism

Ankush89, the applicability of WP:INDICSCRIPTS to articles (primarily) under the scope of Hinduism wikiproject is not well-established. So can you please not remove Sanskrit scripts from such article, at least till you have discussed the issue at Hinduism project noticeboard? Abecedare (talk) 06:02, 11 April 2015 (UTC)

Indic scripts

You are making a mess of the Indic script issue where ever you go, adding and removing the things where inappropriate. I feel we've reached the point where, since you are not learning, the best solution is simply that you stop editing anything related to those scripts. To continue as you are doing is to risk being accused of disruptive editing, and that could result in anything from a topic ban to a block from contributing.

Can you not find something else that interests you here? - Sitush (talk) 15:49, 17 April 2015 (UTC)

Your tagging behavior in Women in Islam article

Please respect wikipedia's tagging policies, such as Template:NPOV. You have now twice updated the date for an old tag in the Women in Islam article, here and here. I left you a message on the article's talk page here. You have been unresponsive, and have repeated your drive by tagging.

I sense you would like the article to include more pro-Islam information, because in your opinion only some of the positive sides of Islam are detailed and explained in that article? That is vague, not helpful and not constructive.

You need to explain which section of the Women in Islam article does not fairly represent the balance of perspectives of high-quality, reliable secondary sources. You should also include some scholarly sources, to back up your explanation. Your personal views are irrelevant, as explained by the tagging policy. Please stop drive by tagging.
