June 2024
[edit]Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions; however, it appears you may have written a Wikipedia article, or a draft for a Wikipedia article, about yourself, at Draft:Seabuckthorn. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – please see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Notable people who have edited Wikipedia). If you wish to add to or change an existing article about yourself, you are welcome to propose the changes by visiting the article's talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was the page I created deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss this with the deleting administrator. Thank you. —Alalch E. 09:54, 7 June 2024 (UTC)
- Dear Alalch,
- Thank you for your response. Although you are correct that page is about my work, I would not consider it an autobiography as such. It to supply simple and correct information when a search is made regarding my music. Please may I ask that you reconsider to approve the article ? I would appreciate that. Thank you.

- Dear Andy, another editor had declined, but after you added some reviews and after I did a bit of more searching for sources, I did indeed approve the article because I believe that your biography passes the notability threshold. I understand how you believe this article not to exactly be your biography, but in the eyes of Wikipedia, this is exactly your biography. It's an article about you as a person, primarily known under your stage name, and your work is an aspect of that. There is a lack of biographical elements because the article is in a very early state. Maybe it will never expand by much. But it's the same type of article as that of Vanilla Ice, and the same kind of content that you see there would also be appropriate in this article about you.Further, there is inevitably a conflict of interest between you as a person and you as a biographical subject, which is an objectivized description of a situation, and not a judgment about a person's opinions, integrity, or good faith. This was my custom-written message to you, but I will now post a standard template about conflict of interest on Wikipedia with useful links and guidance which you should follow. Sincerely —Alalch E. 10:58, 7 June 2024 (UTC)
- Dear Alalch,
- I really appreciate you approving all this on notability. It will help with visibility whilst supplying correct info on my music. I will of course look into the guidelines you just sent me in the hope of adding a little more data for the page. Have a good day and Thank you! Andy. Andyseabay (talk) 11:22, 7 June 2024 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, Andyseabay. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Seabuckthorn (musician), you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for article subjects for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization, clients, or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{edit COI}} template)—don't forget to give details of reliable sources supporting your suggestions;
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest § How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam § External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. —Alalch E. 10:59, 7 June 2024 (UTC)
