I'm not a vandal
I don't know why I'm getting bashed for vandalising some article (which I don't even edit), but I'm not screwing with it.—Preceding unsigned comment added by Teenwriter (talk • contribs)
No problem! I understand how you could get the idea that I was accusing Teenwriter, but his editing of my page has not been vandalism. I'm just glad to have this cleared up. Dirgni198614:29, 29 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
My paragraph on the counter strike topic is as founded as any other paragraph in that topic. There are so many things missing on there I added my 1 peice and you have been editing it since. The link I placed is as commercial as any other link on there, that site does not sell hacks, its more like a gathering of info, and has been for years. it is not my site, I have been a member of it with CN, MPC, VD and others for a very long time.
Why you feel the need to edit others work is beyond me, why not spend your time taking out the hearsay and incorrect comments elsewhere on that page, as theres plenty of those. (like Joolz, that paragraph is completly incorrect)
You may know nothing about Kurrupt and KAC, but many of us on the westcoast used it on our own servers for quite a while, with great success. It faded out within a year, but it was great while it was still updated. I think that site still uses a new version on their servers.
There is so many hacks not listed in this topic that actually paved the way for the hacks mentioned, which is sad, because this whole article is jam packed with every myth known to the community, with very little fact. AT least let those of us who know what was going on in 1999 on the scene, add out 2 cents.
And quit editing links, if you take the kurrupt link out, then take out VD CN and CH cause I also added those a while ago. They are aall links to great sites with lots of info, which is whaat I thought this thing was for.
Thank you very much for supporting my recent Request for Adminship. The request was ultimately unsuccessful, and so I'll be taking special care to address the concerns raised by the opposing !voters before running again. If you have any feedback for me, please don't hesitate to leave it at my talk page. Thanks again!
I'm pretty sure it cannot--the criteria state that the content must be from a commercial content provider; i.e., a site that makes money by providing the text. I think a lot of users (myself included) have used db-copyvio as a means to tag and eliminate spam, but I'm trying to adhere to the rules more closely. (That and yesterday someone else pointed out my misuse to me!) Also, tagging it as copyvio allows the creator to rewrite the article. Given that it's about a sorority for South Asian women, I think it's notable enough and WP would benefit from its inclusion. -- Merope17:15, 29 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your dillegence, but they all seem to continue to follow the same pattern - where edits aren't in the userspace, they're self-serving. I've restored my !vote. Thanks for the head's up, though. -- nae'blis18:02, 29 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Re: Suggestion
“
As you are a serial vandal fighter and contact anons/new users a lot, may I suggest you create an additional sub-page in your user space for anons/new users to leave messages? Assuming your normal talk still needs protection of course. What do you think?--Andeh18:45, 29 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you very much for participating in my RFA, which closed successfully today with a result of (62/18/3). I will go very carefully at first, trying to make sure I don't mess up too badly using the tools, and will begin by re-reading all the high-quality feedback I received during the process, not least from those who opposed me. Any further advice/guidance will be gratefully accepted. I hope I will live up to your trust! Guinnog14:59, 30 August 2006 (UTC)}[reply]
Ha, to clarify: my edit summary was inviting you to revert me, in case you were unsure about whether to do so; I made the relist simply because based on your summary I guessed that you didn't catch the self-nom part (the sig definitely confusing the matter). I tend to personally prefer short, friendly edit-summary-revert-discussions for extremely simple matters over posting a new talk thread, but doesn't always work with others who feel comfortable observing 0RR. And that's cool. Anyways, best wishes. ~ PseudoSudo03:19, 31 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
To fix that complaint, can you flag all these as minor? As for flagging them as automated bot, how fast will your bot need to edit to keep up with it's tasks? (If it's more than 2-3/min we should flag it.) Thanks, — xaosfluxTalk16:31, 1 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for your support in my not-so-recent RfA, which was successful with a an overwhelmingly flattering and deeply humbling total of 138/2/2 (putting me #10 on the RfA WP:100). I guess infinite monkey theorem has been officially proven. Chimps really can get somewhere on Wikipedia.
With new buttons come great responsibility, and I'll try my best to live up to your expectations. If you need assistance with something, don't hesitate to swing by my talk page or email me (trust me, I do respond :)). The same goes for any complaints or comments in regard to my administrative actions. Remember, I'm here for you.

Lyra
Hello there! You see, I want to create this article about the Lyra (aka Hoop) people use in circus schools and in Cirque Du Soleil. The problem is I don't know how to name it because there are many other "Lyra's" In Wikipedia. Do you have an idea of what I should name it?

Hi Andypandy.UK, thank you for supporting me in my RfA, which was closed as successful today with a finaly tally of (56/0/3). I will be very careful at first to avoid any mistakes. Please feel free to leave a message in my talk page if you have any comments/suggestions about me in the future. Once again, thank you! --WinHunter(talk)09:09, 4 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
about your AP.bot
i just have to say, please stay off my page with that bot -.-
i just have a pet peeve of keeping everything as neat as possible, and your bot messed up my page's history with the overly-long comments for each of the edits it made...
maybe if you can just program it so that the comments are as short as possible, and doesn't have to be so detailed...
just my 2cents, cause i'm sure there are other ppl who'd be unhappy with their page if your bot decided to change something.... LG-犬夜叉17:19, 4 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
thanks for the reply...well, it took me a while just to find the right boxes and i found them on a specific page that lists them alongside their codes, so i had no idea where the boxes originally come from.
I would probably do the same thing you did, which was place the proposed deletion tag and the cleanup tags on the article, and then keep it on my watchlist. It is clearly an advertisement right now, but if the creator or another editor could edit it within the next five days so it met the appropriate standards, then it could be a nice article to have (see Bawls for another energy drink article). Thanks for the question, Andeh! I hope my answer is satisfactory! hoopydinkConas tá tú?20:23, 4 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Hello! I was curious on how to move pages because of a little problem. You see, I created an article about a womens fashion magazine called InStyle. However, I then realized that there was already an article called In Style, which is the same thing but with an improper title. The proper title, which is obvious if you read the magazine, has no space. How can I move the In Style article to the InStyle article? Thanks! loulou02:40, 7 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I assumed that you would've checked back at my RFA by the time I answered your questions. Anyways, since you didn't seem to comment, I answered your questions on my RFA. Hopefully, they'll be fit for your standards. —this is messedrocker(talk)21:31, 7 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Really? Nonsense? Please do me the basic courtesy of linking what you describe as "nonsense" instead of making a broad statement that, quite ironically, is nonsensical.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.39.138.226 (talk • contribs)
Ah: I see (without your help I might add) the direction of your request. The user "Angelic Wraith" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Angelic_Wraith#I_have_ADHD.2C_NVLD...)apparently found my comments to be curt and invasive.
The interesting component here, Andypandy.UK, is that he proffered an explicit request comment on his ideas so long as the comments were "clever". He has since edited his page so as to delete this request. I presume you requested it.
If this user is going to articulate brash, narrow-minded nonsense and *invite* criticism, he is going to receive a response. If he didn't want a response that was, perhaps, as exclusive as his advertised principles, logically, he should not have targeted himself.
I am glad you actively moderate instances of vandalism and work to make wikipedia.com a reliable resource. As a note, I would recommend citing the URL for future suspicions of vandalism; it adds clarity to the direction of your logic and allows for a more balanced response from the accused.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.39.138.226 (talk • contribs)
I have noticed when you closed the above AfD, you did not remove the category template,
"REMOVE THIS TEMPLATE WHEN CLOSING THIS AfD". By deleting this when closing it pulls the
discussion out of the category. I have deleted it from this discussion, but if you could
review any other closures you have done recently and remove the tag from them it would be
greatly appreicated. Thanks. --Gay Cdn(talk)(email)(Contr.)14:24, 9 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I am not sure how I can get a list from my watchlist of the AfDs that I created. The way I came up with the list I had was to go through my contribution list, cut and paste the name into a text file, go and add the [[ ]] around the name, add the bullet and paste into the subpage. There are articles starting with A, E and B that I saw, but most the the articles nominated were from the later part of the alphabet because I was using the {{wikify}} tag category to find entries that had not been touched for months after the tag had been applied. I started with Z and worked backwards. The list looks good to me. Thanks. --Gay Cdn(talk)(email)(Contr.)22:17, 9 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Just a follow up on this... I added a couple more Afds to my list using the {{afdl| }} template used by all the other entries. Neither the article or the Afd shows up as a clickable link, they are both redlined. Any idea? Thanks.--Gay Cdn(talk)(email)(Contr.)13:10, 12 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Go ahead and add a link on the page, no problem. BTW - I got the template to work and I copied it with the newest nominations I did. I found that there was a hidden "|" pipe character at the end of the name but before the first close bracket "}". I put the curser at that point and hit delete, nothing seemed to happen, but once saved it worked.--Gay Cdn(talk)(email)(Contr.)18:03, 12 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Andy, the College Football project recently GUS'd all the NCAA userboxes into my userspace. When you get the chance, can you get your bot on bypassing the redirects? All the boxes used to start with "NCAA" and now start with "User:Z4ns4tsu/Userboxes/NCAA" as far as I know. If it makes a difference, some of them do have options and things as well. Let me know if you need more info or have any questions. Thanks! z4ns4tsu\talk18:59, 12 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, nevermind, I'm apparently clueless as to what's been going on with these boxes. If Cide could look into it, I know he has a lot more experience with this than I do. z4ns4tsu\talk19:22, 12 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
My point is you should create the new category before changing the old categorys dont except other user to do it for you (Gnevin20:29, 12 September 2006 (UTC))[reply]
Go raibh maith agat!
Hi there, Andeh!
Thank you so much for supporting my RfA! It ended up passing and I'm rather humbled by the support (and a bit surprised that it was snowballed a day early!). Please let me know if I can help you out and I welcome any comments, questions, or advice you wish to share.
I have been asked before not to use the "minor edit" flag on my AWB edits: the logic escapes my memory, but it might have had something to do with the Wikipedia:Semi-bots thing which for a while was some sort of anti-AWB crusade.
In any case I try not to perform actual minor edits with it.
If it is making your RC patrolling difficult, there are several tools available which are able to filter out edits based on more than just the "minor" flag.

Sorry couldn't get you about spamming on user pages. I provided authentic articles from Indian magazine who have been editing page "Swadhyay Parivar". Swadhyay Parivar, a so called religious organisation has turned to criminal activities under the guise of a religious/spiritual activity. The followers are removing critical links. I am making a point to other editors that my critical views are authentic which is being frequently removed.
With due apology, I am copy-pasting the message on your page. If you wish, you may read or delete.
Swadhyayee 12:00, 13 September 2006 (UTC)
Thanks
Thanks but you have not said whether you are in position to remove messages from user talk pages?
Will you kindly see the talk page of Swadhyay Parivar?

My RFA
Thank you, Andypandy.UK, for voting on my RFA, which passed 95 to 1. Thank you, also, for supporting, even though the answers to the questions you asked may not have been the best. Now that I have the mop, I hope I can live up to the standard, and be a good administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me. —this is messedrocker(talk)18:04, 14 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
My link addition to the YouTube article.
Hello. Recently I placed a link to a website I host on the YouTube article. It's related, but as you mentioned, I probably placed it in the wrong spot. I can honestly say there is much, much more I can learn regarding editing Wikipedia.
I want to thank you for taking the time to help new users get acquainted with Wikipedia and for reversing the mistakes they make. I'm sure it gets rough when the masses add content in totally the wrong places but again it's great to see a nice welcoming even after I violated the policy.
Hi and thanks for deleting vandalism off my user page! I took a look at your page and noticed something about Esperanza. If you would be so kind perhaps you could comment about it for me on my user page as I think I'd like to join Esperanza. I do a lot of editing about 9/11 and hold the opinion that it was an inside job. As you can guess, I'm in the minority, and have much resistance to my edits. I speculate that's where the vandalism came from. Kaimiddleton17:24, 15 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Please do not
I have noticed that you have been changeing GUP userboxes into userboxes on my user page alot. Please do not do this on my page anymore. I WANT them there. I don't particully now why, but i do.
