Hi there ANDERSON, VASCO from Portugal here,
regarding this message (please see here http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User_talk:217.129.65.54&diff=cur#July_2012), i did not vandalize anything i think - am not saying you are implying it - i only rephrased one bit in intro with my anon IP (standard by the way), for it there's no need for a source. Sometimes i write stuff in intro and another similar in body of article to avoid "verbatim issues" (or vice-versa) but, in this case, as no number of caps is mentioned in this player's body of article, the intro is fine after your reversion.
Sorry for any incovenience, keep it up --Vasco Amaral (talk) 01:07, 3 July 2012 (UTC)
I've removed the warning. Thanks!--Anderson9990 - Talk to me - False Positive? Report it! 01:15, 3 July 2012 (UTC)
Removed farcical/comical information that is both illogical and unverifiable
I am receiving warnings for deleting farcical/comical information from an article, which is not supposed to be a joke! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.158.45.251 (talk) 02:02, 4 July 2012 (UTC)
- You have not provided a reason for the removal of content.--Anderson9990 - Talk to me - False Positive? Report it! 02:04, 4 July 2012 (UTC)
- Well if you read the material, it is clearly nonsense and I have removed it again and some other questionable stuff (this). This IP edit was constructive. Mcewan (talk) 10:19, 9 July 2012 (UTC)
- He did remove the categories once though.--Anderson - what's up? 01:08, 15 July 2012 (UTC)
- That's true, and I hadn't spotted that, they should probably go back in. However in the context of a new user's first edits (probably driven to edit by outrage at the WP:NONSENSE on that page), the removal of categories was likely a mistake and did not warrant the final warning that you gave him or her. But we all make mistakes from time to time. You're doing great work on the vandal front - just don't let 99 IP vandals blind you to the fact that the 100th IP edit may be a good faith but unskilled attempt to improve the encyclopedia. If in doubt, leave it alone. All the best. Mcewan (talk) 01:24, 15 July 2012 (UTC)

Replaceable fair use File:Air New Zealand Airbus A320.jpg
Thanks for uploading File:Air New Zealand Airbus A320.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails the first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could be found or created that provides substantially the same information or which could be adequately covered with text alone. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the media description page and edit it to add
{{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}
, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template. - On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Peripitus (Talk) 10:33, 6 July 2012 (UTC)
- In answer to your question. It's a non-free image of an A320 taking off from a specific airport. Just as the news organisation has in this case someone else could take an image, then they could subsequently release it under a free licence. Non-free images of things that still exist are almost always deemed replaceable with a free alternative (and so usually fail WP:NFCC#1). - Peripitus (Talk) 10:36, 8 July 2012 (UTC)
I NEED HELP!
Hi Anderson9990.
I'm so confused.
I pressed edit and edited the vandalism message and deleted it to add a new article and then it told me I was vandalizing again, but I didn't even realize I was doing it!
I really want to add a great article and want to know how to delete the recent vandalism that accidentally occurred. I realized the previous one was because I put the wrong type of references, but I edited that now. Please let me know your advice. I would really appreciate it. Thank you!!!

- The best thing to do would be to:click the page history tab at the top of the page, and click undo beside your edit.and make sure to click save.--Anderson9990 - what's up? 06:36, 9 July 2012 (UTC)
- You seem to be removing the interwiki link from the page without realising you've done it, so i would advise you to stop trying to make tha edit.--Anderson9990 - what's up? 06:40, 9 July 2012 (UTC)

I tried to do that and it says I need to do it manually.
Should I do this? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jrosenh (talk • contribs) 06:46, 9 July 2012 (UTC)
- (edit conflict) It might be best to leave it to a more experienced user. but it would be bsst to undo it immediately if you've made the edit and realised it was unconstructive. otherwise, someone else will revert it as vandalism.--Anderson9990 - what's up? 06:53, 9 July 2012 (UTC)

So are you knowledgeable about manual edits? Because the website says that if it says that it is vandalized than you shouldn't undo a vandalized edit or something, but to undo the article before that wasn't vandalized. Hi there, Anderson. You still have one task left at your academy page which needs completing. If you are having difficulties, please let me know. ItsZippy (talk • contributions) 14:03, 9 July 2012 (UTC)
Done--Anderson - what's up? 23:39, 9 July 2012 (UTC)
- Thank you for that. You've now completed the first stage of my CVUA course - well done! Your five day monitoring period starts now - further details are at your academy page. Once that is over, you will take the final test; you will graduate if you pass. ItsZippy (talk • contributions) 14:42, 10 July 2012 (UTC)
- I've just had a brief look at your recent contributions; they're mostly fine except for this revert, which you labelled as vandalism. I'm not sure it was - it's certainly in good faith and probably constructive too. ItsZippy (talk • contributions) 16:19, 11 July 2012 (UTC)
- This is inline with what I've said before, if in doubt, don't tag it. It is better to not tag vandalism, than to tag a good edit as vandalism. Always err on the conservative side, the side with the highest degree of assumption of good faith. Dennis Brown - 2¢ © 16:40, 11 July 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks! i'll remember that!.--Anderson - what's up? 02:08, 12 July 2012 (UTC)
- I'm slightly concerned with this revert. While there were some unhelpful things you removed, you also removed a reference to an event which needs referencing. ItsZippy (talk • contributions) 11:18, 13 July 2012 (UTC)
- i know, something pops up every day.--Anderson - what's up? 20:56, 13 July 2012 (UTC)
- That's ok - there have been no massive disasters so far. And provided you learn from the mistakes you make, there's no problem. ItsZippy (talk • contributions) 13:58, 14 July 2012 (UTC)

WikAdvisor Sock Vandalism
Hi! Thanks for helping out with damage control on the recent vandalism by the newest sockpuppet of puppetmaster WikAdvisor (archived discussion here). For some background, this user will not communicate with editors or admins, and will return to vandalize the same articles whenever the current block expires. If he is blocked from editing articles, he then vandalizes the talk pages of articles instead. His name is Billy Amato and he will continue to target the following pages: Studio 54, Steve Rubell, Ian Schrager and The Rascals to insert non sourced gossip in which he claims to have been the founding manager of The Rascals, launched the career of Madonna, and managed Studio 54, among other things. I don't expect you'll be hearing from him during the ANI discussion. Now that you are in the loop, thanks again for your help. OliverTwisted (Talk) (Stuff) 03:02, 15 July 2012 (UTC)
- The WikAdvisor sockmaster is back using 2 different IP addresses as sockpuppets. The information has been reported here, if you would like to provide any input. Thanks! OliverTwisted (Talk) (Stuff) 04:17, 24 July 2012 (UTC)
CVUA (almost done!)
Hi again, Anderson! Your five day monitoring period is now at an end, and I'm pretty impressed. There were a few minor issues which I picked you up on along the way, but nothing disastrous, and I'm sure you'll learn from those mistakes. There is only one hurdle left now, before you graduate from the Counter Vandalism Unit Academy - the final test. As you're my first candidate, I have no final test written yet; I'll try to get that to you tomorrow. I'll let you know when it's up (it'll be at your academy page); if you pass that, you will graduate. As always, if you have any questions or problems, please just let me know. ItsZippy (talk • contributions) 18:07, 15 July 2012 (UTC)
Nonfree content on your userpage
Per the policies on the usage of non-free images on Wikipedia, non-free images are not allowed on pages outside of the article namespace, including userpages. Several images on your user page were copyrighted and unlicensed, so I had to remove them. I'm sorry if you are upset by my editing your page without your permission, but this is a rule where Wikipedia allows no exceptions. I want to make sure you know that this isn't personal. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions, or to seek another editor's opinion at the WP:MCQ discussion board. Hullaballoo Wolfowitz (talk) 01:16, 16 July 2012 (UTC)

Your final exam is ready at your academy page. There are instructions there, good luck! ItsZippy (talk • contributions) 16:01, 16 July 2012 (UTC)

Piling on
I have removed your comments of 16 July from user talk:Ekren. I would not normally refactor someone else's talk page comments, but I think these were an unhelpful addition in a touchy situation. Ekren had been blocked and clearly warned by an admin, JamesBWatson, who could have extended the block if he chose; adding a further warning and suggesting an extended block is unnecessary "piling on" and likely to inflame the situation rather than improve it. JohnCD (talk) 10:57, 17 July 2012 (UTC)
Hello, I am Katherine Power, and my Wikipedia page contains factual inaccuracies. An attempt by a neutral party to correct them has been rolled back. I need your help in making sure that the info on my page follows the BLP policy. The report that Stanley Bond and I were romantically involved is one of many pieces of misinformation in the strong POV blog listed as a source. That statement is false and needs to be removed.
A statement from 1993 is identified as my only public statement. However, there are any number of public statements by me on record. I would be happy to provide a list of sources.
A reasonably complete and credible entry would include public acts more recent than 1993, including withdrawal of my request for parole, my participation in a film about forgiveness, may participation in a panel about terrorism, etc.
Please, help me out here. This distorted account of me is embarrassing to me and should be to the Wikipedia community.
Best,

- Reply from (talk page stalker): you need to make contact in such a way that we can be sure that you are who you say. See Wikipedia:Contact us/Article problem/Factual error (from subject) for how to do that, and Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons/Help for advice. JohnCD (talk) 21:48, 17 July 2012 (UTC)
- I have made an entry at the WP:Biographies of living persons/Noticeboard#Katherine Ann Power with a copy of your message, which will bring more editors' eyes to the article. You are welcome to comment there; it would still be useful to make contact via WP:FEFS to confirm your identity. Mention the noticeboard to them - all you need say is "there is an entry at WP:BLP/N". edits to Fightback (Canada)
I don't understand why my edits to Fightback (Canada) were reverted as "unsourced." The edit to the fifth paragraph contains a reference from The National Post, the edit to the seventh paragraph is nothing but the addition of a secondary source, and the edit to the ninth paragraph contains a reference from Sun News Network as well as a primary source. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.246.142.211 (talk) 07:59, 27 July 2012 (UTC)
