[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Jimmy Sheirgill, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Producer. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 06:01, 20 May 2021 (UTC)

Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia:
- Respect copyrights – do not copy and paste text or images directly from other websites.
- Maintain a neutral point of view – this is one of Wikipedia's core policies.
- Take particular care while adding biographical material about a living person to any Wikipedia page and follow Wikipedia's Biography of Living Persons policy. Particularly, controversial and negative statements should be referenced with multiple reliable sources.
- No edit warring or abuse of multiple accounts.
- If you are testing, please use the Sandbox to do so.
- Do not add troublesome content to any article, such as: copyrighted text, libel, advertising or promotional messages, and text that is not related to an article's subject; doing so will result in your account or IP being blocked from editing.
- Do not use talk pages as discussion or forum pages as Wikipedia is not a forum.
The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome! [edit]Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions, such as the edit you made to Ranvir Shorey, did not appear constructive and has been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Shefali Shah. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.
- If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor, please discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page, and seek consensus with them. Alternatively, you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant noticeboards.
- If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, please seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.
Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you. KyloRen3 (talk) 09:34, 26 May 2021 (UTC)

If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at 3 Idiots, you may be blocked from editing. You replaced good sources with unreliable ones. Please be mindful of Wikipedia policies. KyloRen3 (talk) 21:04, 27 May 2021 (UTC)

- @AmNaTi200:, I hope you saw my comment below on using the Show Preview. Having 10 or 20 edits to the same page clogs up the page history. I have added another comment below on using the edit summary. Jay (talk) 01:00, 2 June 2021 (UTC)
Show preview
[edit]Please use the preview button before you save your edit; this helps you find any errors you have made and prevents clogging up recent changes and the page history. Below the edit box is a Show preview button. Pressing this will show you what the article will look like without actually saving it.
It is strongly recommended that you use this before saving. If you have any questions, you can ask at the help desk. Jay (talk) 08:04, 31 May 2021 (UTC)
Currency conversion
[edit]When adding budget and box office information to Indian films, please don't use the {{INRConvert}} template. There was a discussion on the WP:ICTF about this and the consensus was not to use those templates in the infobox. Thank you. Ravensfire (talk) 21:55, 1 June 2021 (UTC)
Edit summary
[edit]Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.
When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:
Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)
Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.
Edit summary content is visible in:
Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. With a Wikipedia account you can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Thanks! Jay (talk) 00:57, 2 June 2021 (UTC)
Editing practices
[edit]I am finding it hard to review your edits. This is my 3rd request to you to use the Show Preview, and my 2nd request to use the Summary. Feel free to discuss if you find it hard to follow the highly recommended practices. If your edits are getting reverted, you are not being constructive.
In the last 3 days alone you made 89 edits of which only 3 had an edit summary. Each time you Save, a new version is created in the page's history. You made 11 edits in 25 minutes to Lokesh Kanagaraj, 10 edits in 20 minutes and then 9 edits in 10 minutes to Vivek Oberoi, 9 edits in 8 minutes to Sandeep Reddy Vanga, 5 edits in 2 minutes to Himmatwala (2013 film), 5 edits in 7 minutes to Guru (2007 film), 5 edits in 8 minutes to Adivi Sesh. - Jay Talk 17:26, 7 June 2021 (UTC)
- From Now I Will Write The Reason After Every Edit. AmNaTi200 (talk) 18:11, 7 June 2021 (UTC)
- Since then you have made 20 edits that have only 3 summaries. 6 edits in 5 minutes to Masti (2004 film), 5 edits in 4 minutes to Batla House, 7 edits in 20 minutes to Shreyas Talpade. - Jay Talk 20:54, 7 June 2021 (UTC)
Section headings
[edit]Section headings on articles should be in normal sentence capitalization - Music videos, not Music Videos as you did here [1]. See MOS:SECTIONS Ravensfire (talk) 18:47, 7 June 2021 (UTC)
- Again, use normal sentence capitalization for section headers, NOT title case. Read the Manual of Style page I linked. See these edits [2], [3]. This isn't fun cleaning up after your changes - I know your editing in good faith, but you've got to start taking some of these messages on your talk page to heart and change your editing style. At this point, when I see a series of edits of yours that introduce issues that you've been warned about, I'm just going to revert everything. Wikipedia strives to have the consistent look of a professional encyclopedia, and uses the Manual of Style to help editors understand how articles should look. Please, read the messages people are leaving you and use that to help become a better editor. Ravensfire (talk) 17:42, 14 June 2021 (UTC)
Sidharth Shukla
[edit]Hi User:AmNaTi200 please stop adding MX Player in Sidharth Shukla as we only add the original platform it comes on and that is Alt Balaji. And stop your vandalism as well despite warnings given to you. The section is called Awards and Nominations not Accolades. Please understand and don’t do this again.

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions, but in one of your recent edits to Shershaah, it appears that you have added original research, which is against Wikipedia's policies. Original research refers to material—such as facts, allegations, ideas, and personal experiences—for which no reliable, published sources exist; it also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. Ab207 (talk) 12:34, 14 September 2021 (UTC)

Vikram box office
[edit]Thanks for updating the box office collection of Vikram movie in gross worldwide section, please update the same in 2 other sections: list of highest grossing films by language - tamil (432.5-500 crores) and list of highest grossing franchises - lokesh cinematic universe (500 crores).
Also, only 2 other films released after Vikram have grossed more than its collection, Ponniyin Selvan 1 and Pathaan. So, the peak rank for Vikram should be 18. It is currently 20, please rectify that error too. Thanks. Cinephilekrr (talk) 16:38, 4 March 2023 (UTC)

Constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, but a recent edit of yours to the page RRR (film) has an edit summary that appears to be inadequate, inaccurate, or inappropriate. Edit summaries (redux)
[edit]@AmNaTi200, I see above that you have been advised to use edit summaries. Note that the Help page for edit summaris says, among other things:
- Avoid vagueness. While edit summaries can be terse, they should still be specific. Providing an edit summary similar to "I made some changes" is functionally equivalent to not providing a summary at all.
Your repeated edit summaries that say only "Added Content
" fit in this category of vagueness and are the equivalent of not providing a summary at all. Please do better. See Help:Edit summary for more guidance on how to write an effective edit summary. — Archer1234 (t·c) 22:47, 19 March 2023 (UTC)

The concept of the lead section
[edit] The concept of the lead section of an article is that "the lead section is an introduction to an article and a summary of its most important contents." (See Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Lead section) So it is not appropriate to delete information from the lead section of an article on the grounds that there's already a separate section for citizenship... no need to mention the same thing here.
Your edit to the article on Akshay Kumar has therefore been reverted. -- Toddy1 (talk) 09:02, 29 August 2023 (UTC)

You have been consistently adding incorrect collections and unreliable sources such as Pinkvilla. Please refrain from doing so. There are numerous trustworthy references available for the collections of 'Lucifer' and 'Pulimurugan,' like Indian Express, Kerala Kaumudi, and many more, which have already been added to the talk page to avoid conflicts and have been discussed multiple times before. If this continues, there's a risk of being blocked. Kindly ensure the accuracy of the information you contribute. Tusk001 (talk) 04:23, 4 January 2024 (UTC)

- While there are numerous Malayalam box office tracking sites such as ForumKeralam and FridayMatinee, their reliability has been questioned.
Similarly, Pinkvilla, a popular entertainment news portal, is not considered a reliable source on Wikipedia WP:TOI.Unless it is an official tracking system , these platforms may not be considered reliable sources. In contrast, reputable sources like Indian Express are acknowledged and accepted as reliable references on the platform. Tusk001 (talk) 11:55, 4 January 2024 (UTC)

Regarding Salaar box Office Collection
[edit]Hi, I would like to ask how even pinkvilla and box office India is trusted by you. they don't even show the correct and accurate box office numbers for the south Indian films like Pushpa, Kantara, KGF 2. we can trust the trade Analyst Manobala Vijayabalan who accurately tells the box office collection and overall box office in twitter. These are reliable articles below regarding the BO numbers of Salaar. Here are some references.
please see to this and update Salaar box office accordingly and don't take false box office collection on south Indian movies just because either you might hate south Indian movies or only want to show box office figures of south Indian in small lengths and show high lengths in bollywood --Guru Deepak y (talk) 17:49, 5 January 2024 (UTC)

- (talk page watcher) I have not been able to find any evidence that the blogspot for boxofficeindiarecords is the official or verified blog for Boxofficeindia.com, which is a reliable source as discussed at RSN and affirmed at WP:ICTFSOURCES. I checked the records at both for an actor (Govinda) and the data between the two sites is not the same for that actor (but you should compare them yourself to be sure I am not missing something). So, I think the provenance of the data at boxofficeindiarecords at blogspot is unknown and questionable versus what is accepted at Boxofficeindia.com. [edit]Hi, in these changes, you have removed the mention of Disco Dancer from the section, arguably the film that brought the subject into limelight, along with its popularity in Russia which is notable. Restore them. Second, refrain from using Cinestaan and sources like that which are not considered reliable. Use WP:ICTF compliant sources only. Also avoid Box Office India, though reliable, better articles should be used when talking about a subject's career then merely extrapolating from box office records. - I will strongly second this comment. Section headings of "Megastardom" are NOT something you should see in an encyclopedia. A tabloid article or blog - great! Professional writing - never. Our writing should be more towards professional in tone, not tabloid. Ravensfire (talk) 15:08, 21 February 2024 (UTC)

- It's a hype-driven label, it's not professional writing. If you tried to take that article to Featured Article status, I guarantee that would need to be changed. Yes, I'm aware in you can find sources that use that article. They're written in a more casual, fan-based style which is not the goal of Wikipedia. We are supposed to strive to NOT use labels like that, but be professional in our tone and writing. Ravensfire (talk) 21:33, 21 February 2024 (UTC)

Copyright concern at Dharmendra
[edit]I've got more than a few concerns around tone and language at Dharmendra, but there's a more important issue that you need to look at and consider how you are editing in general. With this edit you added the text "the rubber stamping of the image came with Mera Gaon Mera Desh thus making him a Superstar. This film also changed the direction of Hindi cinema as prior to it the big films were mainly romantic dramas shot in the Kashmir valleys with super hit music. The mega success of this film made the industry shift to action... but it was a superior film in terms of everything barring the music." That is a DIRECT COPY from the source [5].
Over the next few months, you've modified that text to where it now reads "the rubber stamping of the image came with Mera Gaon Mera Desh. This film also changed the direction of Hindi cinema, as prior to its release large-budget films were mainly romantic dramas shot in the Kashmir valleys with popular music. The large success of this film made the industry shift to action."
The text from the source is "The rubber stamping of the image came with Mera Gaon Mera Desh in 1971 which was a bigger BLOCKBUSTER than Phool Aur Pathar. This film also changed the direction of Hindi cinema as prior to Mera Gaon Mera Desh the big films were mainly romantic dramas shot in the Kashmir valleys with super hit music." I've underlined the common text. That is 100% Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing and is a copyright issue. I'm concerned because this is undoubtedly not the first time you've done this nor the last, and a Wikipedia:Contributor copyright investigations over your edits would be insanely difficult and time consuming. I honestly don't know what to do beyond the immediate requests of completely rewrite this entirely in your own words. This isn't something to quote, you need to rewrite this. And obviously never, ever, ever do something like this again. You CANNOT copy-paste significant lines like this from sources, you need to summarize and rewrite everything in your own words. Ideally, you should go back through some of your more recent heavily editing articles and review your changes for something similar. Using a tool like Earwig's Copyvio Detector can be helpful with this. Ravensfire (talk) 19:39, 31 May 2024 (UTC)

Hi! As per WP:ICTFMOS, "Please do not add hyperbole or subjective phrasing to describe films. Describing films as "super hit", "failure", "flop", or "declared as all-time blockbuster status" should be avoided at all costs. The article would get a review from someone fairly independent but dedicated to making sure that any article flagged as a Good Article has a certain quality level. Expect to get comments, requested changes and suggestion and that it may take time, but it's a great way to get some feedback on your editing style from someone outside the normal editing area.
