[edit]Hello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I've noticed that you have been adding your signature to some of your edits to articles, such as the edit you made to Journalism ethics and standards. This is a common mistake to make and has probably already been corrected. Please do not sign your edits to article content, as the article's edit history serves the function of attributing contributions, so you only need to use your signature to make discussions more readable, such as on article talk pages or project pages such as the Village Pump. If you would like further information about distinguishing types of pages, please see What is an article? Again, thank you for contributing, and enjoy your Wikipedia experience! Thank you. - Arjayay (talk) 14:53, 3 May 2022 (UTC)
Hello, I'm Arjayay. I wanted to let you know that I removed one or more external links you added to the main body of Journalism ethics and standards. Generally, any relevant external links should be listed in an "External links" section at the end of the article and meet the external links guidelines. Links within the body of an article should be internal Wikilinks. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. - Arjayay (talk) 14:54, 3 May 2022 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, Aidanpwhite, welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions. Your editing pattern indicates that you may be using multiple accounts or coordinating editing with people outside Wikipedia. Our policy on multiple accounts usually does not allow this, and users who misuse multiple accounts may be blocked from editing. If you operate multiple accounts directly or with the help of another person, please disclose these connections. It looks as if you may have edited, over the years, as User:Aidanw123, User:Aidan white, User:Aidanpatrickwhite and now User:Aidanpwhite. Use of multiple editor names is not allowed except in some specific situations: please make a note on your user page of all the previous user names you have used, and stick to just the one name from now onwards. Thanks. PamD 15:49, 11 April 2024 (UTC)
- will do. Thanks. Aidanpwhite (talk) 15:51, 11 April 2024 (UTC)
Managing a conflict of interest
[edit]Hello, Aidanpwhite. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Fetisov Journalism Awards, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for article subjects for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization, clients, or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{edit COI}} template)—don't forget to give details of reliable sources supporting your suggestions;
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest § How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam § External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Wikishovel (talk) 13:28, 30 July 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks for this. I have removed material which might imply a conflict of interest. Aidanpwhite (talk) 13:30, 30 July 2024 (UTC)
Fetisov Journalism Awards moved to draftspace
[edit]Thanks for your contributions to Fetisov Journalism Awards. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it has no sources and you may have a possible Conflict of Interest. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.
Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Wikishovel (talk) 13:40, 30 July 2024 (UTC)
- I do not know what more needs to be done. The text is clear and sourced with verifiable information and with links to relevant organisations.I have removed anything in the text that might have revealed a conflict of interest, the text is factual and verifiable. I do think it should be reviewed and published. Any further suggestions would be welcome. Aidanpwhite (talk) 14:04, 30 July 2024 (UTC)
