Hi. You need to cite a reliable source when you make factual changes. Otherwise when others read the article they are unable to be sure about the accuracy of what they're reading. This is particularly true when the previous information's been there for quite a while and other sources also lists the same. Please readd your edit if there's a source, but there have been 3 of these changes made now in the last 24 hours, the two earlier ones an IP making the same edit. I also notice that of the 3 edits from this account 2 have changed birthdates without explanation like this ([1]). Please provide some sourcing for these so future readers can follow up if they need to, and we can all ensure accuracy. Thanks. Shadowjams (talk) 02:09, 24 August 2010 (UTC)

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, but when you add or change content, as you did to the article Syosset High School, please cite a reliable source for the content of your edit. This helps maintain our policy of verifiability. See Wikipedia:Citing sources for how to cite sources, and the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. To add yourself to the article as a notable person, you need a wp article about you (or a ref showing how you are truly "notable") Epeefleche (talk) 08:05, 14 March 2011 (UTC)
Hello Aeichler1. If you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:
- editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
- participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors; and
- linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.
For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. Epeefleche (talk) 08:06, 14 March 2011 (UTC)
Your submission at Articles for creation
[edit]I noticed your submission in Articles for creation, Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Kate Hall. Thanks! It will be reviewed by a volunteer soon.
Before it can be added to Wikipedia, your submission should have references. All articles on Wikipedia should have inline, numbered references after facts, showing the 'reliable source' (a newspaper, book, etc.) where the information can be checked, so that all information is verifiable.
Here's an example of how to add references:
Chzz is 98 years old.<ref> "The book of Chzz", Aardvark Books, 2009. </ref> He likes tea.<ref> [http://www.nicecupofteaandasitdown.com Tea website] </ref> == References == {{reflist}}
That makes the references automatically display as small numbers[1], which will link to the details in the section titled == References == at the end. You can see that example in action here.
Please add references to your submission, which will be reviewed as soon as possible. If you need any help, just put {{helpme}} at the end of this page, followed by a question.

Right now, the article features an NYT obituary -- which is a decent start -- but no other references incorporate anything more than passing mention of Ms. Hall, generally as part of a list of performers. Please let me know if you have any questions. Best regards, ɠǀɳ̩ςεΝɡbomb 16:38, 31 May 2011 (UTC)
