Year pages
[edit]I see that not very long ago, you went through the 1984 page unlinkifying dates. Please don't do it again. On these pages, all dates must be linked. This is because Wikipedia allows the user to change how dates are displayed, and when the dates are not links, this formatting becomes totally messed up to anybody whose date format setting isn't the same as yours. -- Smjg 11:32, 10 September 2006 (UTC)
Nyana (Album)
[edit]Thanks for changing the name, I've been so busy trying to get the discography done for Tiesto that I sometimes forget which album i'm doing since he has so many albums. DJREJECTED 09:37, 14 September 2006 (UTC)
Article /Comments sub-pages
[edit]Hi. About an hour ago, you deleted a comments sub-page for the article A24 road (Northern Ireland). Please be aware that these Comments pages are part of several current WikiProjects, and are useful for article assessment. I have reinstated the article page. --Mal 12:49, 14 September 2006 (UTC)
Thank you for your help. Is it worth it to find out if Benbrass (talk · contribs) and PaulRicci (talk · contribs) were/are socks of Edwardbudge (talk · contribs)? - CobaltBlueTony 17:46, 14 September 2006 (UTC)
- All three editors were mostly consumed with editing Martin Snigg/Martin snigg. Is there any other explanation other than they are the same editor? Unless three random editors coincidentally felt that that article deserved to be persistently recreated... Anything's possible, all things being equal. " I also felt it necessary i am 05KINJac and I actually go to CBC college where he teaches. - CobaltBlueTony 17:58, 14 September 2006 (UTC)
Australian national basketball team
[edit]Your comment:
- I see that you have just moved Australia national basketball team to Australian national basketball team, because "the new title is more correct". If you look at Category:National basketball teams, but also at e.g. Category:National football (soccer) teams, you will find that the format is "Foo national foo team", not "Fooian national foo team". Because of this, I would suggest moving the article back to Australia national basketball team. Thank you, Aecis Appleknocker Flophouse 08:26, 15 September 2006 (UTC)
- Could you move the article back then please, if you feel so strongly about it. Also, could you please edit all the links to the article when it is done, so that the links will remain correct. Figaro 10:06, 15 September 2006 (UTC)
Administration of WikiProject
[edit]Hello Aecis
I did not mean that I was a Wikipedia administrator, I meant that I was the administrator of that WikiProject. I couldn't find any other term so I used administrator. Please reply on my talk page. Auroranorth 10:24, 15 September 2006 (UTC)
- Have a look at the said WikiProject now. Am I able to say that? Auroranorth 10:24, 15 September 2006 (UTC) talk page
So what should be done about this?
[edit]People on this site don't understand that caps and goals are for domestic games only. How can I possibly get through to them? It says right there on the stat sheet that it's only for domestic games. I'm sure they are just fans that want to boost his stats but come on. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Outsiderdf (talk • contribs)
I guarantee IP 12.151.120.81 will be vandalizing again in 24 hours
[edit]I was a little surprised to see that you only gave a 24-hour block to repeat vandal 12.151.120.81. I know it is a shared IP, but if you look at the contribs from that IP, there's been like one legitimate edit ever, compared against dozens upon dozens of vandal edits.
Furthermore, whoever is vandalizing from that IP address immediately resumes it after every single expired block (please compare block history and contribs). Worse yet, it's not even funny vandalism, like the Colbert-inspired stuff -- most of it is highly offensive, blatantly racist vandalism.
It's your call, of course, but I would exhort you to consider imposing a longer block than 24 hours. Thanks for reading! --Jaysweet 19:06, 15 September 2006 (UTC)
- Thank you! Your post on the Admin board summed up my concerns nicely. I'll let you all hash it out. Thanks again! --Jaysweet 19:46, 15 September 2006 (UTC)
A little thank-you
[edit]Hi. I just created Anne Halkett, realised that the categories were red links, and went back to fix them, but you had already done it one minute after the article was created. You must move at the speed of light! Thanks. Bláthnaid 19:15, 15 September 2006 (UTC)
JtV attack
[edit]Hello, I saw that you blocked a person named Craig Biggio for 24 hours, but I feel like it should be upgraded to indefinate because of his previous attacks on people/users. Could you please block him indefinately? It's not only from vandalism, but also trolling and flaming people. His contributions proves that he is Johnny the Vandal. Blocking him for 24 hours would only cause JtV to return and wreak more havoc, and blocking will cause him to reappear and attack again and again. In addition, his account was a vandalism-only one. Thanks, VelairWight 20:14, 15 September 2006 (UTC)
- As one of the people regularly attacked by Johnny the Vandal (whose history I just noticed has been deleted in the, in my view misconceived, cleanup of sub-pages of WP:LTA), I have just permanently blocked that account. JtV accounts should be permanently blocked on sight, don't waste time issuing warnings and short-term blocks - they don't do any good. -- Arwel (talk) 22:09, 15 September 2006 (UTC)
Georgia
[edit]Hi, thanks for the message. I was trying to revert the changes that some IP adresses made, because I believe that if somebody wants to edit an article about the country they should be at least registered users. As far as your point, I think you are totally right. I will go ahead and write Brief Historical Outline or History of Georgia instead of Independence and move the independence from the Soviet Union at the end. I think that way will be better and will make better sense. What do you think? Sosomk 00:08, 17 September 2006 (UTC)
- What about Formation?
- I am not saying that all IP edits have to reverted? In that case most of IPs did right, but the only edit I did not like was that moving several paragraphs in Introduction section. All I am trying to do is to look at different GA articles and try to move georgia article is that direction. I have nothing against that anybody can edit WP. I think it's great. Take it easy.
- As far as independence section I think Formation is more convinient and it has nothing to do with its the size of the country and etc. For example, United States has Inependence and Portugal has Formation. I can aso discuss it with some other Georgian users and we can decide which way to go. Regards, Joseph Sosomk 00:32, 17 September 2006 (UTC)
- What about Formation?
- Hi, forget about IPs. Sometimes I get stressed by the people who want to attack NPOV. A perfect example can be seen on Abkhazia and Georgian-Abkhaz conflict pages. I do admit that my statement was harsh.
- As far Consolidation is a better term to address nation-state like Georgia, since the the independence from Russia and the USSR did not really form the country, it just it to gain the international recongzition. As far Sanra Reolofs, I think she is awsome and any information you will put about her will be greatly appreciated. What about this picture?:):). It their second baby an the picture was taken when Saakashvili was presenting the new schools and improved educational program in Georgia. In fact, Sadra herself has done lots of community projects, such as help out orphanages and stuff like that. For exmple, I am a member of the Rotary International and I ahve heard about them. It would be great if you can improve Sandra's page and add a family section in the Mikheil Saakashvili article. Maybe we can say something about her in the country's page. Just let me know what you think. Sosomk 18:09, 17 September 2006 (UTC)
Hi my friend, please see the economy section on Georgia (country). I think that it was the mai reason why Georgia failed GA. How do you like it now? Sosomk 19:18, 24 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit]Hello Aecis: Thank you for restoring the article. I have finished further updates to the Christine Leadman article for your review. I am submitting this as their are other similar candidates (not yet elected) now on Wikipedia in the "People from Ottawa" category. So I am trying to get this contribution to a level that honours the Wikipedia guidelines. I appreciate your comments and guidance on this. Grahame5 18:32, 5 October 2006 (UTC)grahame
