I'm reverting the page to it's former title. The article is about the building, not the floor, and the name of the building was not changed.

"N.C. State's Board of Trustees voted Friday morning to rename the floor of Reynolds Coliseum for the longtime women's basketball coach. Yow, in her 32nd season, led her unranked Pack to a 72-65 upset of No. 2 North Carolina on Friday night in the Pack's last home game of the season." [1] Orlière 16:04, 17 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned fair use image (Image:CFstadium.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:CFstadium.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image is unlicensed for use on Wikipedia and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BigDT 17:06, 9 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Unspecified source for Image:123121main docked full.jpg.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:123121main docked full.jpg.jpg. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then there needs to be a justification explaining why we have the right to use it on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you did not create the file yourself, then you need to specify where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the file also doesn't have a copyright tag, then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 04:39, 6 January 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. MECUtalk 04:39, 6 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Wikiproject ACC

[edit]

Hi, I notices you created an ACC wikiproject. Although I can't join it right now, I can give you some tips. Try finding some other wikiprojects or main articles where you could recruit people (WPs colelge football and basketball would work well). Also, if you wish to collab on anything with my Big Ten Wikiproject (like the ACC-BT challenge article), then let me know. --Wizardman 00:19, 11 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

FYI, non-free logos can only be used in article space - they can't be used in templates. Unless you have a different preference, I can replace the image in Template:WikiProject ACC with just an outline of the ACC states. Is there something else you would rather use? --BigDT 04:03, 12 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Unspecified source for Image:Acc challengelogo.gif

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Acc challengelogo.gif. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then you need to specify who owns the copyright, please. If you got it from a website, then a link to the website where it was taken from with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already.

Thanks for uploading Image:Sidneylowe.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. As a practical matter, the image will be deleted anyway, as it is copyrighted, can be replaced with a free image, and is therefore not a candidate for fair use.—C.Fred (talk) 15:26, 3 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image:CFstadium.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:CFstadium.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Rettetast 21:43, 29 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I noticed that you have associated yourself with WikiProject North Carolina in one way or another and I wanted to say Hi. I have been doing a bit of work on the project and wanted to know if you were still interested. One of the major things that we need help with is article assessment. If you go to NC Article Grading and Ranking you will see that as of 12-25-2007 we have over 2,900 articles that are either unassessed and/or have not been tagged with importance. If you are interested in remaining a part of WikiProject North Carolina, please consider placing the userbox {{User WikiProject North Carolina}} if you have not already done so that others will know that you are a part of this Project as well as ensuring that you are listed on the WP North Carolina Participants. If you are no longer interested in participating in the project, please strike through your name on the WP North Carolina Participant list and/or remove the WikiProject NC Userbox! Notability of Rock the Cosmos Tour

[edit]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Rock the Cosmos Tour, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Rock the Cosmos Tour seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Rock the Cosmos Tour, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. WikiProject North Carolina May 2008 Newsletter

NEWSLETTER
Issue One • May 2008About the Newsletter

News

Cape Lookout Lighthouse

Hello WikiProject North Carolina members! A few of us at the The Newsroom Team decided to get together and re-energize the project, through these newsletters. This newsletter is hopefully the first of many to come. We want this project to be active in creating and expanding articles related to our state. If you're a current or former resident of the state, we hope that you will help spread the knowledge of how much there is to learn about North Carolina.

  • A great way to expand new articles is by keeping track of the new articles list. Please add any new NC-related articles or older ones you come across that have not been tagged with the project banner. When you notice an article has been added to the list, read over it and check for citations, grammatical errors, and spelling. If you've written a NC-related article in the past 5 days, read the requirements for Did you know... and add your article to the DYK nomination list. It might be chosen for the Main Page!
  • If you see a new member added to the project list, a great idea would be to leave them a welcome message on their talk page. Show them we notice new members and that we want them to become active participants.
  • If you have any questions in regards to the project, feel free to contact someone from The Newsroom Team. Thanks for all of your hard work and happy editing!

Fair use rationale for Image:Bcostner.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Bcostner.jpg. You've indicated that the image meets Wikipedia's criteria for non-free content, but there is no explanation of why it meets those criteria. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. If you have any questions, please post them at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions.

Thank you for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 23:34, 21 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Move of Carolina-NC State rivalry

[edit]

I don't think you acted in the best interests by doing this, as you ignored discussion and consensus about this move. May I assume you will also move the Carolina-Clemson Rivalry to South Carolina-Clemson Rivalry? Also if you want to be proper, in intercollegiate athletics "UNC" is known as North Carolina. Please change UNC to North Carolina. Thank you. Fletch81 (talk) 01:38, 4 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced BLPs

[edit]

Hello AceKingQueenJack! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. if you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 352 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

Orphaned non-free image File:RBClogo.gif

[edit]
⚠

Thanks for uploading File:RBClogo.gif. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

I just wanted to let you know I am trying to revive the somewhat dormant Wikiproject ACC and invite you to stop over for a look. CrazyPaco (talk) 06:53, 16 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
