It is a goal of this project to create, tag, grade, rank, and improve all articles relating to North Carolina.

Members of this WikiProject should follow the Wikipedia standard grading scheme.

Article importance

The criteria used for ranking article importance are not meant to be an absolute or canonical view of how significant the perspective of someone from that region.

Article importance grading scheme
Label Criteria Examples
Top Subject is a "core" or "key" topic for North Carolina, or is generally notable to people other than North Carolinians. They define and determine the subject of the North Carolina WikiProject. North Carolina, Raleigh, North Carolina.
High Subject is notable in a significant and important way within the field of North Carolina, but not necessarily outside it. Counties, large cities such as Greensboro, NC, as well as integral parts of North Carolina such as North Carolina Highway System.
Mid Subject contributes to the total subject of the North Carolina WikiProject. Subject may not necessarily be famous. Political figures in NC, small cities and towns, major buildings in NC.
Low Subject is not particularly notable or significant even within the field of North Carolina, and may have been included primarily to achieve comprehensive coverage of another topic. Lists of North Carolina topics, schools in NC, people from NC.
