You marked my article for deletion without any real need for doing so. It is so unwelcoming to find watch dogs are waiting to strike me down at the first contact. If you can provide your personal reasons for your actions then I can correct the article to meet wikipedia guidelines or decide not to contribute at all on this free service.

Thanks very much for spotting that - I've fixed it by citing another reference for that fact. I think I originally used the word 'flamboyant' as it is a good synonym of 'showy', which seemed to flow a bit better. VisualEditor's toolbar has a new drop-down menu that contains all character formatting: bold, italics, subscript, superscript, strikethrough, computer code, underline, and the ability to remove all formatting from text.
For more information about how to use VisualEditor, read the user guide.
Since the last newsletter, the VisualEditor team has worked on some toolbar improvements, fixing bugs, and improving support for Indic languages as well as other languages with complex characters. The current focus is on improving the reference dialog and expanding the new character inserter tool.
There have been dozens of changes since the last newsletter. Here are some of the highlights:
Rich copying and pasting is now available. If you copy text from another website, then character formatting and some other HTML attributes are preserved. This means, for example, that if you copy a pre-formatted suggested citation from a source like this, then VisualEditor will preserve the formatting of the title in the citation. Keep in mind that copying the formatting may include formatting that you don't want (like section headings). If you want to paste plain, unformatted text onto a page, then use Control+⇧ Shift+V or ⌘ Command+⇧ Shift+V (Mac).
Auto-numbered external links like [2] can now be edited just like any other link. However, they cannot be created in VisualEditor easily.
Several changes to the toolbar and dialogs have been made, and more are on the way. The toolbar has been simplified with a new drop-down text styles menu and an "insert" menu. Your feedback on the toolbar is wanted here. The transclusion/template dialog has been simplified. If you have enabled mathematical formula editing, then the menu item is now called the formula editor instead of LaTeX.
There is a new character inserter, which you can find in the new "insert" menu, with a capital Omega ("Ω"). It's a very basic set of characters. Your feedback on the character inserter is wanted here.
Saving the page should seem faster by several seconds now.
It is now possible to access VisualEditor by manually editing the URL, even if you are not logged in or have not opted in to VisualEditor normally. To do so, append ?veaction=edit to the end of the page name. For example, change https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Random to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Random?veaction=edit to open a random page in VisualEditor. This is intended to support bug testing across multiple browsers, without requiring editors to login repeatedly.
Looking ahead: The transclusion dialog will see further changes in the coming weeks, with a simple mode for single templates and an advanced mode for more complex transclusions. The new character formatting menu on the toolbar will get an arrow to show that it is a drop-down menu. The reference dialog will be improved, and the Reference item will become a button in the main toolbar, rather than an item in the Insert menu.

Whilst I disagree with some of the assertions you make about me, as there not actually on the RFA page, I'll wait till my RFA closes before responding - I think any discussion of my suitability for adminship should be kept to the RFA page, I don't want discussions to spiral out onto other pages. I do support a reform of RFA and I understand this in an area you have been working in/advocating for for a while now, so I see why you feel the neeed to 'call out' perceived unfairness. No problem it looks like your RFA is going to be a landslide pass anyway. I'm planning on leaving the project after this month so its not going to affect me one way or the other. I have found a lot of projects who want and need help over at Wikia so I am going to edit there where my help is wanted frankly. Besides, I don't really think anyone seriously wants to reform RFA besides me anyway. They say they do but then they scuttle any attempts to do so. Since I am a non admin no one takes my desire for reform seriously, they just view it like I am just upset about not getting access to the tools myself so there is little point in continuing. Yahya Bahro's actions are not really edit warring when multiple editors remove the material and few bother to warn on the editor's talk page. Editing against consensus is a problem. Hello again! So I'm not that well acquainted with policy regarding copyrights. If you could please help clarify this for me... all images of 3D art cannot be considered free, even public art? I want to add a gallery to the Life Underground article, illustrating more of the installations. I noticed one of the existing images was uploaded as non-free, so I'm guessing adding more images would not acceptable per WP:NFCCP 3A? Note these are permanent installations commissioned by the MTA to be on display for the public. It's unclear why this would be considered copyrighted at all, as opposed to say, a temporary installation at the Guggenheim (paid entry). Thanks! — MusikAnimaltalk18:10, 29 December 2013 (UTC)
@MusikAnimal: Unfortunately, the US does not have freedom of panorama that would allow for the non-infirngmenet of copyright when one is photographing a permanently present piece of public art (unless the sculpture was installed before 1923 or is a building). Is this silly and irritating? Yes. Do we still have to comply with it? Unfortunately, yes. I think the current number of images is sufficient for the article! Hey, thanks for the explanation. It is indeed irritating, but laws are laws! So alright, but what about two-dimensional art? Specifically, graffiti. Surely copyright laws cannot apply? I suppose it is inherently public art, but is generally illegal by nature. It's also usually applied to the sides of buildings, which as you say are an exception to the law, at least for 3D art. Hi, you recently blocked an editor (indef), and following that, another editor then created a user page for the blocked editor, solely for the purpose of adding the {{blocked user)} template, along with the somewhat smug edit summary "good bye". I can see that BIH has created several spam and paid editing of following links. I have messaged you for same in the past and i believe that there is no fairness on wikipedia for this user. Why are you allowing him to create spammy pages offcourse for which he is paid thousands of dollars.

You closed numerous discussions as delete, but File:Dublincity crest.gif (and possibly other files) were never deleted. Could you take a look at this? Also, if the decision is to delete, but you don't wish to give any further rationale, then note that all you need to do is to delete the file; a bot will automatically close the discussion afterwards. --Stefan2 (talk) 21:38, 13 January 2014 (UTC)

It was getting rather wordy (at 199 characters) and I was basically combining two facts (their location and their different breeding times) into one, making the hook borderline WP:OR.
