User:Local hero, learn what vandalism is before throwing templates to your opponents. Ktrimi991 (talk) 16:37, 15 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I don't look at other users as opponents. However, this user has on multiple occasions made "deliberate attempts to damage Wikipedia" which is vandalism. --Local hero talk 04:40, 16 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
That is not "vandalism", but a content dispute. Calling another editor's edit in a content dispute "vandalism" is considered a personal attacks, and I have seen editors getting blocked for that. It is OK to disagree with their edit, but it is not OK to call it "vandalism" just because you do not like it. Ktrimi991 (talk) 11:10, 16 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Btw, AcEagle12, read WP:EDITSUMMARY. You should make an edit summary for every edit you make. Ktrimi991 (talk) 13:30, 16 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Noted, from now on I'll just revert your edits automatically without providing any rationale and not participating in any discussion, and I'll brand it as a "content dispute" (without elaborating what I dispute and what my basis is of course). Genius. --Local hero talk 19:03, 16 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
AcEagle12, instead of wasting your time responding to such nonsense, you might want to !vote there. Ktrimi991 (talk) 20:55, 16 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Glad you agree it's a nonsense way to edit. Thanks. --Local hero talk 21:30, 16 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Also please understand that an WP:RFC is not a !vote, rather a discussion. --Local hero talk 21:45, 16 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Introduction to contentious topics

[edit]

You have recently edited a page related to Eastern Europe or the Balkans, a topic designated as contentious. This standard message is designed as an introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.

A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially-designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have special powers in order to reduce disruption to the project.

Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:

  • adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
  • comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
  • follow editorial and behavioural best practice;
  • comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
  • refrain from gaming the system.

Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.

Speedy deletion nomination of Polog front

[edit]

Hello AcEagle12,

Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username Jingiby, and I thank you for your contributions.

I wanted to let you know, however, that I have tagged an article that you started, Polog front, for deletion, because there's already a page about that topic at 2001 insurgency in Macedonia. Please don't be discouraged; we appreciate your effort in creating new articles. To avoid this in the future, consider using the search function to find pages that already cover what you want to write about.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top. If the page is already deleted by the time you come across this message and you wish to retrieve the deleted material, please contact the deleting administrator.

For any further query, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Jingiby}}. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . Thanks!

Hello, AcEagle12,

Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username Jingiby and I thank you for your contributions.

Hello, AcEagle12,
All articles about living people need to be sourced. That is the reason why this article was tagged for deletion. Should you come upon reliable sources that verify that this person exists and is notable, you can request restoration at WP:REFUND. If you have questions about BLPPRODs, please bring them to the Teahouse. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 19:53, 11 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on User sandbox:AcEagle12 requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Corpse_Husband. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Battle of Lyncestis, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Illyrian and Hellenic. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Hello AcEagle12. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:AcEagle12. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=AcEagle12|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. PICKLEDICAE🥒 19:05, 13 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion discussion about Samidin Xhezairi

[edit]

Hello AcEagle12, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

While your contributions are appreciated, I wanted to let you know that I've started a discussion about whether an article that you created, Samidin Xhezairi, should be deleted, as I am not sure that it is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia in its current form. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Samidin Xhezairi.

Deletion discussions usually run for seven days and are not votes. Our guide about effectively contributing to such discussions is worth a read. The most common issue in these discussions is notability, but it's not the only aspect that may be discussed; read the nomination and any other comments carefully before you contribute to the discussion. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Pickersgill-Cunliffe}}. And don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . Thanks!

Why do you want to delete this massacre that doesn't make sense,this is an important event that happened in Tetovo and one of the biggest massacres that happened during the Yugoslav wars even one of the most famous Albanian Historians called Marin Mema made a documentary about this,so it has no reason to be deleted so I'll just remove the deletion tag cause it isn't needed this page is important and it can't be deleted randomly like you expect. Monopoly Massacre

[edit]

Hi there, the above page has now been deleted but I wanted to reach out to you, because I understand the importance you feel in ensuring that an important piece of history not be forgotten. I would suggested that you might begin by looking at the pages for the place. There is a page for Tetovo and it has a history section. You might want to try to write just a very short paragraph or so about this massacre to do there, linked to reliable sources. That would be a good start. Not everything needs a page from the get go, and sometimes the existence of information in one place leads to an expansion that might become a page one day.

Things to avoid:

  1. Don't copy information into Wikipedia. Wikipedia takes copyright seriously and it has to. Anything you write should be in your own words. Have a read of WP:COPYVIO
  2. Use reliable sources. Books and journal articles are the best. Be particularly careful of self published works. Have a look at WP:RS

Good luck with it, and happy editing. Sirfurboy🏄 (talk) 19:42, 13 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
