That was a really good thing to do we cannot have articles filled up of ORs :D --NotedGrant Talk 10:52, 7 November 2009 (UTC)

Photo

If the pixel size is large (1000px, 2000px width etc), you can resize it smaller (600px width, or even 400) as Jpeg to save bandwidth, because when it's on the page, the width will be like 250 or 350 anyway. —Gyopi (talk) 15:47, 7 November 2009 (UTC)

No, like I said, take your time. If you recompress it smaller in size, quality is more or less compromised, so resizing and recompressing are the same difference. But you might be right. Less quality + large pixel size might be better than Higher quality + small pixel size. I don't really know :) –Gyopi (talk) 16:01, 7 November 2009 (UTC)

Okay, thank you very much! :) —Gyopi (talk) 08:25, 9 November 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for the photos! :D But what's this one?

File:Malphileriabanner.JPG

It looks a bit spooky... This weird 'leg' at the right bottom is supposed to mean, "if you don't take the tablets you'll become sick like this"? Very weird. — Gyopi (talk) 11:02, 11 November 2009 (UTC)

OK, this one should be the best for the first photo, because readers will understand the context immediately by just looking at it.

I need to think how to use the other two pictures in the photoarticle, but I'm going to use them soon. About the leg photo, I can see it's scary on purpose, to encourage people to take the med. Right? —Gyopi (talk) 11:12, 11 November 2009 (UTC)

that elephantitis image is gross.Linguisticgeek (talk) 11:17, 11 November 2009 (UTC)

Tuluva-Tuluver

Tuluva is singular Tuluver is plural which is most preferred one, another plural is Tulutagul which is sometimes used by tulu people in udupi district.Tuluvinavaru is kannada plural.Linguisticgeek (talk) 10:11, 10 November 2009 (UTC) It is Bisu for most tuluva people, but udupi people call it vishu same as malayalam.so bisu or vishu is samething i think malayalam tamil and tulu new year fall on same dayLinguisticgeek (talk) 10:16, 10 November 2009 (UTC)

Kasaragod town

hi i believe this kasaragod thing is too confusing there is kasaragod district, the taluka and then the town.if there is any problem in having town behind kasaragod?. some article do have the word town behind it like Enfield Town,so whats the problem i think it will help a normal user what say!.If it violates any wiki policy then tell meLinguisticgeek (talk) 10:51, 11 November 2009 (UTC)

i suggest we create a disambiguiation page called kasaragod and state that kasaragod might refer to kasaragod town.kasaragod district, kasaragod(lok sabha constituency),kasaragod Tulu, kasaragod malayalam and kasaragod havyakas.what say i think town behind kasaragod will create less confusion.Linguisticgeek (talk) 11:02, 11 November 2009 (UTC)

Number of Tulu speakers

Yeah, you can think that way. But here you can't say anything without a reliable source. Besides, "it's spoken by this many people! Wow! Awesome!" is not the only way to prove Wikipedia:Notability. There are several better ways in this case than that.—Gyopi (talk) 12:44, 13 November 2009 (UTC)

2 million is possible though not verifiable; the number may actually decrease too. 3 million doesn't seem very likely. 5 million seems unlikely, unless the population was doubled in 10 years. About the photo, if you think it's good to include, why not :) —Gyopi (talk) 07:55, 14 November 2009 (UTC)

Don't even bother posting on the IP's talk page about the vandalism. This is the same editor who was socking last week and caused the article to be semi-protected. He refuses to listen, etc. Range is too large to do a range block, so I've requested a longer semi-protection. He will just keep doing the same vandalism until the page is semi-protected, so just keep reverting until an admin puts that in place. I've also notified the admin who blocked his last two socks. Hey..

Hey, I'm from India too...(Chennai to be precise) and a fellow Spongelord stalker... Feel free to visit my talkpage Rkr1991 (Wanna chat?) 10:56, 16 November 2009 (UTC)

According to WP:TPS "It is considered polite to announce one's intention to stalk another's talk page. This is customarily done by blanking existing content and replacing with images of marine life...". It occured to me that you may not appreciate the blanking, so here's a sea anemone;

And thanks for the Barnstar! In the words of a Frenchman I once knew "I do appreciate!", Lord Spongefrog, (Talk to me, or I'll eat your liver!) 13:22, 16 November 2009 (UTC)
