[edit]Hello, I'm Moops. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, John Albers, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. — Moops ⋠T⋡ 03:24, 12 January 2023 (UTC)

Managing a conflict-of-interest
[edit]Hello, 47.39.190.24. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for article subjects for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization, clients, or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{edit COI}} template);
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest § How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam § External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. ''Flux55'' (talk) 21:55, 19 February 2024 (UTC)

- You have added a single item which is not pertinent and blatantly political. Stop pushing biased information. 47.39.190.24 (talk) 18:10, 18 April 2024 (UTC)

- This is an informational page and you are making specific blatant political messages with no context. 47.39.190.24 (talk) 00:52, 12 May 2024 (UTC)
- This never occurred. I have not injected any political messages into this or any other article. Here, I simply reverted the poor rewrite of an article by the subject of the article, pure and simple. Subjects of articles are not supposed to edit their own articles. Stefen 𝕋owers among the rest! Please do not attack other editors, as you did at John Albers. Comment on content, not on contributors. Personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Please stay cool and keep this in mind while editing. For the personal attack in my user talk, disruptive editing, and admitted conflict of interest, please cease editing the article in question. - Stefen - you have a blatant political bias. You have social media pages which simply attack conservative people and ideas. No real information about yourself. This is the definition of a grifter. You have taken 2 issues with your bias opinion and edited a page. This is foolish and immature behavior. 47.39.190.24 (talk) 02:57, 12 May 2024 (UTC)
- Every human being has a political bias, including you as you express you have a conservative one. I have done absolutely nothing to "attack conservative people and ideas" in the Wikipedia. Outside of the Wikipedia, it is mine and everyone's right to agree or disagree with anything they choose to agree or disagree with. I might suggest that editing your own article after being told you cannot is the type of behavior you decided I was expressing. Stefen 𝕋owers among the rest! - Steve Magruder - Liberals and Progressives in the Ohio River Valley, supporting biased politics is not what Wikipedia is about. 47.39.190.24 (talk) 03:28, 12 May 2024 (UTC)

- Bias... 47.39.190.24 (talk) 03:33, 12 May 2024 (UTC)
- Since I have done nothing politically biased with regards to your article or any other, your charge has no basis. Oddly enough, I recently removed political campaigning from your article that was against your position, as we don't allow campaigning from either side in articles, as it violates WP:NPOV. - Stefen Tower is a fake name, he is Steve Magruder. 47.39.190.24 (talk) 03:34, 12 May 2024 (UTC)
- Most user names are fake. Let me introduce you to The Internet. LOL. And your charge of "bias", again, has no merit. Stefen 𝕋owers among the rest! Gab • Gruntwerk 17:34, 1 October 2024 (UTC)

Request reason:
I have someone with blatant political bias trying to make changes to my page This is not what wikipedia is for.
Decline reason:
Unblock requests are about recognizing what you did wrong. It never works to keep blaming the other person. — Daniel Case (talk) 06:06, 12 May 2024 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

- Note to admins: Every editor comes here with their own biases, but I have never intentionally injected my bias into this or any other article. All that happened here was a COI editor editing an article about themselves, and in a very incompetent manner (i.e. from an editor's POV, I don't care about his politics - I only care about the quality of the article). And because I was involved in stopping them from doing that, this person is lashing out. Until this person recognizes that Wikipedia does not allow people to edit articles about themselves, and begins to follow our policies around that, they should remain blocked.
