2PM Pics
[edit]Hello. I saw your tweet to me. I'm responding here because of Twitter limitations.
I have tried numerous times to change the pics for the 2PM Members. Wikipedia is very strict on the inclusion of pictures. The pictures have to be an "original work". That is, not an image from another website. The image also needs to be one that has not been uploaded anywhere before. It needs to have a wiki commons usage license submitted with the image by the actual owner/photographer.
I once changed all the members photos to selcas they had tweeted themselves, but was told that twitter images were not verifiable. I argued back that they could check the individual(s) twitter stream for verification, but was still told no and the pics were deleted.
I know the current pics are old, but they do have a fully documented license. The other problem is that "all" the pics need to be changed at the same time with pictures preferably from the same photographer. I'm writing a couple of Korean News Agencies to see if I can obtain registered/approved images from them for this purpose.
(Yes, the whole process is a big pain!)
You can write me back on my talk page if you'd like. Mikepellerin (talk) 04:59, 10 November 2014 (UTC)
Fancam question
[edit]Yes, the fancam pics may work, idk? But they all need to be done by the person who took them and can upload them/verify them in the documentation. Be sure to check "Google Image Search" to make sure no duplicates appear before uploading.
It really would be nice to have 2014 pics on wiki instead of 2009 pics!
Thank you for your interest in helping out monitoring 2PM's wiki pages. There's only a few of us doing it, and it can be hard when there is new news. Sometimes anti's attack the pages and we have to revert a lot of stuff.
It's always good to see more HOTTESTs on Wiki! Mikepellerin (talk) 06:38, 11 November 2014 (UTC)
Images
[edit]This is the page/guidlines that the person who takes the pictures need to follow to donate them to Wikipedia: Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials Mikepellerin (talk) 01:50, 16 November 2014 (UTC)
Article Refs.
[edit]There is a big discussion here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Korea/Popular_culture about the status of kpop pages. As you'll see on it I was not happy, but some stuff really does need to go. Scroll down to the section: Clarification about Korean sources. Thanks again, Mikepellerintalk 15:28, 8 January 2015 (UTC)
