November 2018[edit]Hello, I'm Shellwood. I wanted to let you know that I reverted one of your recent contributions —specifically this edit to Great Lakes refugee crisis— because it did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Help Desk. Thanks. Shellwood (talk) 20:49, 8 November 2018 (UTC)
Suggest you get an account and please cite sources[edit]Thanks. BlueD954 (talk) 06:24, 20 December 2018 (UTC) To second the above, please stop making unreferenced additions to the List of aircraft of the Royal Australian Air Force article. You are now adding vauge claims about topics for which reliable sources exist (multiple sources note the number of different types of aircraft operated by the RAAF - and if different sources give different numbers or confirm that numbers are actually unclear, as I suspect is likely in some cases, the article should note this with appropriate references) as well as not referencing more concrete material. I am seriously considering reverting all of your changes to the article given the sourcing problems and unnecessary vagueness. Help:Referencing for beginners provides advice you may find helpful here. Nick-D (talk) 09:09, 13 February 2019 (UTC) June 2019[edit]Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Healthy diet, you may be blocked from editing. Zefr (talk) 03:51, 25 June 2019 (UTC)

Southshore
[edit]Please stop this edit-war on the Southshore article, this seems quite confronting and I don't think you realize that it's a relatively low-socio economic suburb, other suburbs also do this. Alexeyevitch(talk) 04:55, 5 June 2024 (UTC)
- Correcting your misunderstanding is not an edit war. See the pdf link I have added to the talk page. 153.111.229.202 (talk) 05:00, 5 June 2024 (UTC)

Edit warring
[edit]Kia ora, thank you for contributing to Wikipedia.
On Wikipedia we edit by consensus. A part of this process is the be BOLD, revert, discuss cycle. As such, rather than immediately reverting a revert, it is expected that you take the matter to the talk page of the article to discuss the issue further. Not doing so amounts to edit warring and may result in a block. Your behaviour recently on the Southshore, New Zealand article in my view crosses that line. For example, you are well-past 3RR today.
Please also familiarise yourself with the concept of tendentious editing. David Palmer//cloventt (talk) 04:46, 7 June 2024 (UTC)
- Hi David - have already addressed this on the talk page of the Southshore article, which is a more appropriate place for this discussion. You and Alexeyevitch seem to be under the mistaken impression that correcting poorly written and poorly reference articles is an "edit war". The user editing the Southshore article had repeatedly put in statements that were either unreferenced as well as statements that directly contradicted the reference they had used; and because many of these "references" are offline resources they difficult to check. I can understand one such mistake but four? (And that was a cursory check). That's extremely poor. I have corrected those for you. I believe you may have a conflict of interest due to your friendship with Alexeyevitch and are not applying the appropriate standards around impartiality and neutrality. Remember on Wikipedia: Anonymous editing is embraced and welcomed. 153.111.229.202 (talk) 23:06, 9 June 2024 (UTC)
- Your talk page is the appropriate place to discuss your editing behaviour.
- Your reply indicates you did not read the page I linked. Please read those articles regarding appropriate editing behaviour on Wikipedia. Your activity was disruptive enough that it resulted in the page being marked as semi-protected by an admin.
- You are welcome to edit anonymously, and actually I'm not sure why you have brought that up because I didn't mention it. However, even when editing anonymously, you must still follow the guidelines for how we edit on Wikipedia. David Palmer//cloventt (talk) 23:36, 9 June 2024 (UTC)
- David, you need to take a step back, and note that any 'tendentious editing' has been coming from Alexeyevitch and Roger 8 Roger. The edits I made were all referenced to neutral and impartial resources. What I removed were some judgemental statements which were not referenced, and a statement which said the opposite to the item referenced. Sometimes editors need to take a breath, and look at their own work. I can understand Alexeyevitch is emotionally attached to the work in the article, but that doesn't mean it is correct. Note also rather than addressing the content issues (which I have corrected for you) both you and Alexeyevitch have tried to make it personal.
- Both of you need to reflect on this: "Problems arise when editors see their own bias as neutral, and especially when they assume that any resistance to their edits is founded in bias towards an opposing point of view." 153.111.229.202 (talk) 23:53, 9 June 2024 (UTC)
- Once again, please read the linked pages, specifically on the BRD cycle. There is an established process for content disputes, which you have not followed.
- I'll also add civility, assume good faith and consensus to that reading list. Your contributions are valuable, but the way you have gone about making them has caused more friction than it needed to. David Palmer//cloventt (talk) 00:10, 10 June 2024 (UTC)
- Address your bias. All work on the page was documented both in editing and in the talk page.
- Don't over-guard articles: Even if a subject is close to an editor's heart, or an article has been fostered lovingly, remember that no one owns an article and articles are built by communal shared collaboration.
- Again, your focus should be on the content not on the personal attachment. Some reading for you: Wikipedia:Wikilawyering 153.111.229.202 (talk) 01:25, 10 June 2024 (UTC)
- The keyword there is collaboration. Reaching consensus on talk pages for disputed content is a critical part of that process that you would benefit from. Please carefully read those linked articles and introspect a little.
- I dispute your claims of "bias", wiki-lawyering and over-guarding and won't engage with you further on that.
- Best wishes for your future editing on Wikipedia and I hope you stick around. I think I've done my best to educate you on how to make your experience a little less abrasive, the rest is up to you. David Palmer//cloventt (talk) 01:39, 10 June 2024 (UTC)
- Hi, why have I been sent this warning? I have not edited this document at all. Please address your problems with each other to the correct people please. - James 153.111.229.202 (talk) 07:41, 10 June 2024 (UTC)
- Hi James, you may be viewing Wikipedia from a shared IP address. Are you perhaps at a public library? When editing anonymously on Wikipedia, your IP address is used to identify your edits. As a result, you are sharing this talk page with other users editing from the same place. If you haven't done any editing you can safely ignore this warning.
- If you would like to have your own talk page, you should consider creating an account. It's totally free of charge and comes with benefits. David Palmer//cloventt (talk) 21:40, 10 June 2024 (UTC)
