Conflict of Interest notice

[edit]

Information icon Hello, 138.163.0.42. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted.
Please ensure you are familiar with these guidelines before you edit any articles related to the United States military or government. Thank you

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. On many keyboards, the tilde is entered by holding the Shift key, and pressing the key with the tilde pictured. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

this is a shared IP for millions of people. It sucks that there are some idiots, but no need to punish everybody on behalf of them.

Decline reason:

That's why the block is anon-only, to allow people to continue editing. If you do not yet have an account, please check your block message to see how to obtain one. — Yamla (talk) 17:49, 29 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Then just do away with anon editing. Wikipedia = Fail

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Naomi Oreskes. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. If necessary, pursue dispute resolution.

Traitor

[edit]

FYI, the word traitor is 16 times mentioned in the ES article, that should cover this opinion. prokaryotes (talk) 22:03, 17 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon This is the only warning you will receive. Your recent vandalism, as you did to Bouyon music, will not be tolerated. Vandalizing articles on occasions that are days or weeks apart from each other sometimes prevents editors from being blocked, although your continued vandalism constitutes a long term pattern of abuse. The next time you vandalize a page, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia without further notice. Long-term disruption, block evasion. See Wikipedia:Long-term abuse/Caribbean music vandal. Your edit to Vacuum tube

The data sheet here says "2500 kilowatts". That's 2500 x 1000 watts = 2,500,000 watts, or 2.5 megawatts. Please be a little more careful before declaring long-standing content as "ludicrous". Jeh (talk) 17:50, 6 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello. Your recent edit to El Toro High School appears to have added the name of a non-notable entity to a list that normally includes only notable entries. In general, a person, organization or product added to a list should have a pre-existing article before being added to most lists. If you wish to create such an article, please first confirm that the subject qualifies for a separate, stand-alone article according to Wikipedia's notability guideline. Thank you. Hello, I'm ToBeFree. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Cokie Roberts, but you didn't provide a source. I’ve removed it for now, but if you’d like to include a citation to a reliable source and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 16:33, 17 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions, but in one of your recent edits to Naval Meteorology and Oceanography Command, it appears that you have added original research, which is against Wikipedia's policies. Original research refers to material—such as facts, allegations, ideas, and personal experiences—for which no reliable, published sources exist; it also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. Thank you. - wolf 20:11, 3 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
