Superman and other edits

Thanks for your continuing edits with some of your articles. It's good to know that someone else cares about quality and supervises annoying IP edits. Cheers. Wildroot (talk) 08:43, 2 December 2010 (UTC)

Behind the Voice Actors

I saw that you reverted a guy because you said that "behind the voice actors is user-submitted". Content there is actually not submitted by anyone. There are only a few administrators with the power to add content, and they make sure they get it from the right sources. Just saying. --Shadoman (talk) 14:43, 5 December 2010 (UTC)

Spider-Man reboot

Hey -5-, where you've been. There's been a update on the Spider-Man reboot ;). http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/blogs/heat-vision/spider-man-set-parents-villain-56039Jhenderson 777 15:27, 6 December 2010 (UTC)

Just to let you know you don't have to edit on the userpage, I put it out as a article since it should be filming today. − Jhenderson 777 15:55, 6 December 2010 (UTC)
Not really worried about that too much. Because it's obvious it's going to happen. But I did put it back as a redirection for now. Now it can easily be ready more than it was. − Jhenderson 777 16:05, 6 December 2010 (UTC)
Just to let you know you don't have to entirely accurate in linking. Sometimes linking in a redirecting title can be better and simpler because you never know when it can be an article. − Jhenderson 777 17:24, 6 December 2010 (UTC)
I understand because I used to feel that way but I got over it. Besides the redirections are of good use for stuff like that. That's why they are created. − Jhenderson 777 17:28, 6 December 2010 (UTC)
I am just curious. I have no idea what you are doing or did in contributions such as this. − Jhenderson 777 19:51, 7 December 2010 (UTC)

Oh ok then. − Jhenderson 777 23:21, 7 December 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for your help with the reboot. I have nominated it on the DYK. So fingers crossed. − Jhenderson 777 01:59, 8 December 2010 (UTC)

bias?

Why do you keep removing a legitimate review from Spiderman 3? Are you biased? Do you not like it because it's not favorable? Why won't you leave it? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.69.112.250 (talk) 05:07, 10 December 2010 (UTC)

The Dark Knight rises

On that redirection page, it might be a good idea to request semi-protection if it's mostly just IP editors that are the problem. What do you think? − Jhenderson 777 19:44, 14 December 2010 (UTC)

Young Justice schedule

So was I right in my edit summary that Futon blew it, and the pilot is re-airing over those first two weeks in January? The link to that source isn't working on my end (why I rejected it as unsourced), but I've seen you editing on Batman B&B so I know you're not arbitrary...if it is, I may have to petition to unprotect the page. Only fair. KnownAlias contact 10:37, 24 December 2010 (UTC)

Never mind...Google Chrome wouldn't load it with the www. When I loaded the link without it, I got through. KnownAlias contact 10:44, 24 December 2010 (UTC)
Well, the protection is for a week, which seems a long time for good information. I'm-a gonna pull it. KnownAlias contact 10:47, 24 December 2010 (UTC)

Re: Young Justice edit

Can you explain why you removed this paragraph from the article? All of the information in it is referenced.-5- (talk) 13:02, 30 December 2010 (UTC)

It is indeed. I think, in my desire to purge the article of the speculative (and uncited) 'Notes' section, I culled some good references as well. Mea culpa. Thanks for catching and fixing my bone-headed error, 5. First round is on me. - Jack Sebastian (talk) 07:29, 31 December 2010 (UTC)

Spiderman

Ok, let's end this once and for all. Field was announced as Aunt May back in MAY. Filming began A COUPLE OF WEEKS AGO. Why would she let this information go through the works for this long and not deny it? Rusted AutoParts (talk) 14:03 6 January 2011 (UTC)

Field's IMDB page. [1] It clearly states Untitled Spider-man Reboot, with no 'rumoured, in negotiations, in talks or attached' tags on it. Rusted AutoParts (talk) 14:03 6 January 2011 (UTC)
No, IMDB only began allowing users to contribute in december. But the fact still stands, if an actor or actress is announced in a role, it would take only a few days to confirm or deny, which Field has not denied. It would be a very diva move to drop out when filming begins. Rusted AutoParts (talk) 14:12 6 January 2011 (UTC)
The article i added was written in November, in December, Only auto-confirmed users were allowed to edit IMDB, of course if IMDB allowed IP's to edit, they'd be in the same boat as this site. Also, I HAVE COMMENTED ON YOUR DISCUSSION ON THE SPIDERMAN TALK PAGE, and only two of the edits you demonstrated are mine, the re-adding of Sally Field and the comment about Simmons. Rusted AutoParts (talk) 14:19 6 January 2011 (UTC)
yeah, sorry about that, it's just that this was two months ago, and if Sally Field wasn't going to appar, why would she wait until now? Rusted AutoParts (talk) 14:23 6 January 2011 (UTC)
Wouldn't this apply for Denis Leary as well? I read the article provided and it said he was in negotiations as well. Rusted AutoParts (talk) 14:28 6 January 2011 (UTC)

-5- and Rusted Auto Parts, if you have been reverted for at least a third time, stop and discuss. You have both just about violated WP:3RR if not already. So the rule is to weigh in when you are in disagreement, not see who can revert lastly. Which you both seem to have a problem with. As for another guideline, -5- (and I say this out of concern because I know you are a good editor) I have a concern that you edit on pages like you own it, I can tell you are so used to doing your things your way because you are a good contributor on what you mostly edit on, but let's face it there will be different ways than your way. And you seem to have the weakness of my way or the high way on edits when there has been other ways of doing it as well. I can tell that because a lot of articles you've edited are on my watchlist. You revert without specific explanations and have done so many minor edits that make you look like you're the most contributive editor ever. Right after an edit has been done, boom, there you are soon after like somebody didn't make a good edit on the start. And I know you are perfecting the article (at least that's what I think you are doing, honestly there's two reasons why I don't see what you are doing, one is I trust you and two there's too many contributions you make that it can be tiring, so a recommendation is try to do all the edits you are thinking about doing at the same time and explain it on the edit summary.) So work together to make both ways work if you can please. And also I don't see a problem with the kissing image. If it had a fair use, yes, but it's a free use image that is primary allowed if it's central to the article's topic. Please explain your reasoning your removal of the image, please. And it better not be I don't like it which was your explaining of not using redirection one time. − Jhenderson 777 23:55, 6 January 2011 (UTC)

Sorry if I sounded a little obnoxious -5-, I know you are a good contributor but I am still curious to know what's wrong with the image. If you don't explain I am going to have to put it back. Because it's basically a typical filming image. Lots of times filming sections can have a picture of a certain place of where it's being filmed at. See Green Lantern (film) and Captain America: The First Avenger for example. And I don't see anything wrong with an kissing scene on the set. − Jhenderson 777 15:38, 7 January 2011 (UTC)

Batman in Film: reference tags in section titles

The edit has been reverted before, that's why I decided to put it there. I chose to put it there because it seemed like the most relevant spot to cite the source. Is there another place in the article we can put it so it doesn't continue being reverted? Geeky Randy (talk) 04:38, 7 January 2011 (UTC)

DC Showcase shorts: Editions section

I understand and agree with redundancy (why you removed the Editions sections), but that's not the point. I've added a new Editions section to point out the differences between the 2 releases: the 1st one I already know of is length: I actually compared the runtimes from all DVDs. And that alone raises new questions: why are they longer, and more importantly, what exactly are the differences (with an eventual side-by-side comparison table)? I'm sure there are dedicated DC Comics/comicbook fans out there [it seems you're one of them, as am I ;-)] who would take time to compare, and post all details for everyone to learn. For example, I'd like to do this, if I ever find enough time to spare, and if I can't, I'd like (same as some of my comicbook friends, who also frequent Wikipedia) to read all about it.
HTH [Hope This Helps]
Best wishes,
MDGx 19:50, 10 January 2011 (UTC)

Of course, a new section is not necessary, but it's worth mentioning (at least) the time differences, in the lead, or anywhere else.
And in time, when/if some reference with details pops up, it will be worth (IMHO) posting a side-by-side comparison table.
Thanks for listening.
Best wishes,

Spider-Man cast suggestion.

This is just a suggestion because right now I don't have the time to do it and there's a limit to how long I am online. It's a good idea with improving the Spider-Man film article with interviews of the cast such as this to improve the cast section. For example how he/she feels about the role and how he/she feels about the character they are playing. If you don't want to that's fine I am just leaving this link here just to not forget it in case I (or you) do it. Jhenderson 777 21:26, 14 January 2011 (UTC)

The Dark Knight Rises

The article The Dark Knight Rises was created due to a discussion with Erik. But I know due to his discussion that Erik also wanted opinions from the rest of the task force. So I am asking you weigh in on the discussion page of the article about how you feel about it and suggestions how it should be written. Jhenderson 777 21:49, 22 January 2011 (UTC)

I respect your opinion on that. It seems like you prefer WP:NFF the most and we all have our preferences on that. I know I can't please everybody and I do feel like a hasty person for doing so, I really created the first discussion for people to weigh in on it just to make sure there was a "No that wasn't a good idea" and then I would have put it back as a redirection but it never worked out that way. And again I am sorry for making your created redirection a article. Jhenderson 777 16:04, 24 January 2011 (UTC)

Come to Template talk:Infobox film#Preceded by/Followed by. The only thing anyone agrees on right now is that it isn't about film continuity. Hi -5,

I've been working on X-Men: The Last Stand, with a couple of other editors in GA review, and noticed a few of your edits recently. and found a few interest Sometimes you've reverted others edits without explanation or acknowledgment to reccomendations made in the review. (Examples, here, here and here.) I know you've made many fine edits to this article and others documenting cinema, and politely ask that you discuss changes on the talk page before reverting. Best, --Ktlynch (talk) 12:56, 28 January 2011 (UTC)

X-Men: First Class

I was referring to the original conversation between myself and the users who asked the question. At some point the contradictions between X-Men: First Class and the rest of the series will have to be mentioned in the article. Maybe not the perfect call...

While understanding why you decided to set an article as a redirect, this one might better have gone to AFD for a community consensus, as rare exceptions to WP:NFF are allowed. However, in trying to return his work to his userspace for continued work,[2] all the author did was userfy the redirect. Oops. As it was the author's aparent request, how about returning a pre-redirect version to the author... placing it at User:F.R Durant/workspace/Superman:Man of Steel (film project). No harm, no foul. Schmidt, MICHAEL Q. 04:57, 17 February 2011 (UTC)

Was able to fix it, by doing a cut-n-paste of an earlier version into the author's userspace at User:FR Durant/Superman:Man of Steel (2012 film). The edit history has thus been preserved, and now he can address issues. Schmidt, MICHAEL Q. 05:19, 17 February 2011 (UTC)
Don't do AFD in the future. There is too much of a keep-or-delete mentality, when the argument is in between, to report the project in some form. I would recommend starting discussion on the premature article's talk page and post a notification at WT:FILM. If the project in development is for a comic book film, you could also let the task force know, obviously. Erik (talk | contribs) 15:03, 17 February 2011 (UTC)
Just to be clear the title of the future article should be Superman:Man of Steel not Superman: Man of Steel (2012 film). Jhenderson 777 15:34, 17 February 2011 (UTC)
Do we know for sure if that's the actual title? Erik (talk | contribs) 15:59, 17 February 2011 (UTC)
It's only a reported title. So I wouldn't say 100% sure. Jhenderson 777 16:24, 17 February 2011 (UTC)
The histories showing the author's wish to continue work in his uderspace was why I returned it to him, and that it was redirected without discussion was the only reason I suggested AFD. Discussion would have been the best option. Schmidt, MICHAEL Q. 19:28, 17 February 2011 (UTC)

Hey -5- this is directly to you this time. Please help out and watch the new userspace draft as much as you can. I did some remodeling and formatting on it just needs some cleanup and hidden categories and I know you are good at that. I at least want it to be ready as a article like the rest of the films ;) Jhenderson 777 19:25, 17 February 2011 (UTC)

DC Universe Animated Original Movies

That rule doesn't outright prohibit what's presented, and each image has an appropriate FUR. Beyond that, there is no reason other than your gripe with me for removing the table. If you want to remove the images go ahead, but I'd ask that you leave the table alone. Ganthet2814 (talk) 07:02, 25 February 2011 (UTC)

The use of non-free images arranged in a gallery or tabular format is usually unacceptable, but should be considered on a case-by-case basis. Exceptions should be very well-justified and alternate forms of presentation (including with fewer images) strongly considered.
This implies that it is not a rule, rather a guideline that is not always to be followed by the letter and to the death, as you suggest. The breaking format clutters the entire page and makes the information a little more difficult to read, beyond the fact that there will be many more releases under this umbrella and will become even more clunky then it already is. A table makes the formatting cleaner and simpler. Ganthet2814 (talk) 07:08, 25 February 2011 (UTC)
By dividing things into clean cells it creates a clear separation without having too many page breaks, making it difficult to both edit and access information. Discography articles aren't as well served by something represented in visual media, unlike a film series. Ganthet2814 (talk) 07:14, 25 February 2011 (UTC)
There are not ten films in each of those with many more to come. Practically, the table makes perfect sense considering the future of the series. Practicality should be considered. Ganthet2814 (talk) 07:19, 25 February 2011 (UTC)
Here's your article: Star Trek (film series). Eleven films succinct in the table, the closest film series article to carry the same amount of productions. Ganthet2814 (talk) 07:20, 25 February 2011 (UTC)
Feel free to string it out through bureaucracy. I gave you your example, and you are not following through with your statement regarding an example. That article's talk makes no mention of the table as the problem with the page. Ganthet2814 (talk) 07:24, 25 February 2011 (UTC)

Ok, I'm pretty new here and thus don't know where to post the answer: I'll post it both here and on your page (if I shouldn't, delete it). Anyway, I've never read anything about Nolan writing Man of Steel (your links are accessible right now, there is a MySQL error). S.H.I.E.L.D. template

Skrull appears at the end of "The Widow's Sting"

So...yeah. HalfShadow 21:26, 13 March 2011 (UTC)

I admit that much but as I've said, I have no reason to lie. Why not just leave the listing and add a ref tag to the title? From (admittedly) what little I saw of it, it was definitely a new episode; it ended with the Avengers finding an unconscious Skrull dressed in human clothes. HalfShadow 21:40, 13 March 2011 (UTC)
Well, I'll try to get a synopsis when it shows again, but as the show's only on once a week, it'll be some time. I'm moderately sure it was the last episode of season one, as after this episode showed, they started again from the beginning. HalfShadow 21:48, 13 March 2011 (UTC)
Upon reflection, it's possible that I may have seen the very end of The Widow's Sting and been mistaken; I had already missed it and wasn't paying crystal clear attention, since the show was "over", in which case I admit the error was mine, but there's no call to be insulting. I swear it seemed different at the time. I will admit to being unsure, but I'm not being dishonest, it's simply an error. On the other hand, if I turn out to have been correct (which, admittedly, even I'm uncertain of now), I would appreciate an apology in turn. Fair? HalfShadow 22:39, 13 March 2011 (UTC)
I swear it looked different. I'm embarrassed about this, no matter the eventual outcome. I don't generally make these sort of mistakes; you're talking to someone who takes notes of episodes of children's shows so he can synopsize them properly. I'm almost red-faced just considering the possibility. HalfShadow 22:55, 13 March 2011 (UTC)

I found Sharp962(talk) added a 'too many photos' tag to the wiki page a while back. Edit done by Sharp962 I'm not sure why he thinks this is excessive. I was hoping you could contribute to this. If you can, please take a look to the discussion section of the wiki page for more information.
