Tips
  • Don't be afraid to edit! Just find something that can be improved and make it better. Other editors will help fix any mistakes you make.
  • It's normal to feel a little overwhelmed, but don't worry if you don't understand everything at first—it's fine to edit using common sense.
  • If an edit you make is reverted, you can discuss the issue at the article's talk page. Be civil, and don't restore the edit unless there is consensus.
  • Always use edit summaries to explain your changes.
  • When adding new content to an article, always include a citation to a reliable source.
  • If you wish to edit about a subject with which you are affiliated, read our conflict of interest guide and disclose your connection.
  • Have fun! Your presence in the Wikipedia community is welcome.

Negative XP moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Negative XP, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Sir, I remove the good-faith unreliable source (local activist website and personal blog). I looked at the topic and it satisfy https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Notability_(people)#Basic%20criteria since not just he is a musician but has been source of other news coverage as well like him and his canceled festival. Besides you could also see bullet 7 from https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Notability_(music)#Criteria_for_musicians_and_ensembles reflect in the the article sources:
  • Has become one of the most prominent representatives of a notable style or the most prominent of the local scene of a city; note that the subject must still meet all ordinary Wikipedia standards, including verifiability.
In that case for headlining the "local scene" of incelcore.[1] This shows notability of the article.
Let me know if there is pending issues. Many thanks in advance. बिनोद थारू (talk) 22:36, 10 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion discussion about Negative XP

[edit]

Hello, बिनोद थारू, and welcome to Wikipedia. I edit here too, under the username FormalDude, and I thank you for your contributions.

I wanted to let you know, however, that I've started a discussion about whether an article that you created, Negative XP, should be deleted, as I am not sure that it is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia in its current form. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Negative XP.

You might like to note that such discussions usually run for seven days and are not votes. And, our guide about effectively contributing to such discussions is worth a read. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|FormalDude}}. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . Thanks!

I have seen people do it on wikipedia for rude comments/attacks. @FormalDude

The comment you deleted does not constitute a personal attack. Please self-revert and leave the redaction to experienced editors and admins. ––FormalDude (talk) 21:49, 11 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Also, typing my username with an @ does not ping me. You need to use a template like {{Reply to}}. And your comment on the AfD is unsigned. ––FormalDude (talk) 21:52, 11 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
It was an attack to me, much like a group of mean girls gossipping about the ugly girl in the school. बिनोद थारू (talk) 21:52, 11 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
You said "Let me know if this not allowed and I will revert back." I'm letting you know, now please revert back. ––FormalDude (talk) 21:56, 11 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Introduction to contentious topics - gender and sexuality

[edit]

You have recently edited a page related to gender-related disputes or controversies or people associated with them, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.

A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have special powers in order to reduce disruption to the project.

Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:

  • adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
  • comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
  • follow editorial and behavioural best practice;
  • comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
  • refrain from gaming the system.

Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.
