Hello, Khaatir, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like this place and decide to stay.

Why can't I edit some particular pages?
Some pages that have been vandalized repeatedly are semi-protected, meaning that editing by new or unregistered users is prohibited through technical measures. If you have an account that is four days old and has made at least 10 edits, then you can bypass semi-protection and edit any semi-protected page. Some pages, such as highly visible templates, are fully-protected, meaning that only administrators can edit them. If this is not the case, you may have been blocked or your IP address caught up in a range block.
Where can I experiment with editing Wikipedia?
How do I create an article?
See how to create your first article, then use the Article Wizard to create one, and add references to the article as explained below.
How do I create citations?
  1. Do a search on Google or your preferred search engine for the subject of the Wikipedia article that you want to create a citation for.
  2. Find a website that supports the claim you are trying to find a citation for.
  3. In a new tab/window, go to the citation generator, click on the 'An arbitrary website' bubble, and fill out as many fields as you can about the website you just found.
  4. Click the 'Get reference wiki text' button.
  5. Highlight, and then copy (Ctrl+C or Apple+C), the resulting text (it will be something like <ref> {{cite web | .... }}</ref>, copy the whole thing).
  6. In the Wikipedia article, after the claim you found a citation for, paste (Ctrl+V or Apple+V) the text you copied.
  7. If the article does not have a References or Notes section (or the like), add this to the bottom of the page, but above the External Links section and the categories:
==References==
{{Reflist}}
What is a WikiProject, and how do I join one?
A WikiProject is a group of editors that are interested in improving the coverage of certain topics on Wikipedia. (See this page for a complete list of WikiProjects.) If you would like to help, add your username to the list that is on the bottom of the WikiProject page.

Hi Khaatir. You've added references for "Hasani Nadwi 2014" to both Abdullah Hasani Nadwi and Bilal Abdul Hai Hasani Nadwi, but no such work is defined in either. Abdullah Hasani Nadwi contains cites for "Hasani 2014" and "Nadwi 2013" but no "Hasani Nadwi 2014". Is this a typo or is there a missing cite? -- LCU ActivelyDisinterested «@» °∆t° 21:02, 22 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@ActivelyDisinterested Thanks for pointing out the error! I have fixed it. "Hasani Nadwi 2014" and "Hasani 2014" were the same. For brevity, Nadwi was removed from Hasani Nadwi everywhere. But there was a mistake in one place, and it has been corrected now that I brought it to your attention.Thanks
Also, the late Abdullah Hasani Nadwi and Bilal Abdul Hai Hasani Nadwi are both brothers, so both of them have the same family background. On the page with Bilal Abdul Hai Hasani Nadwi, some of the references are also used in relation to the family background, etc., which are used on the page with Abdullah Hasani Nadwi. Good work on Syed Ahmad Dehlavi (academic). Keep it up. I took some time to reconstruct some bits of the article. It'd be amazing if something about the scholar's education can be added, particularly about the Deoband seminary being his alma. Nonetheless, a very great contribution.

Autopatrolled granted

[edit]

Hi Khaatir, I just wanted to let you know that I have added the autopatrolled user right to your account. This means that pages you create will automatically be marked as 'reviewed', and no longer appear in the new pages feed. Autopatrolled is assigned to prolific creators of articles, where those articles do not require further review, and may have been requested on your behalf by someone else. It doesn't affect how you edit; it is used only to manage the workload of new page patrollers.

Since the articles you create will no longer be systematically reviewed by other editors, it is important that you maintain the high standard you have achieved so far in all your future creations. Please also try to remember to add relevant WikiProject templates, stub tags, categories, and incoming links to them, if you aren't already in the habit; user scripts such as Rater and StubSorter can help with this. As you have already shown that you have a strong grasp of Wikipedia's core content policies, you might also consider volunteering to become a new page patroller yourself, helping to uphold the project's standards and encourage other good faith article writers.

Feel free to leave me a message if you have any questions. Happy editing! – Muboshgu (talk) 19:35, 24 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

GOCE copy-edit requests

[edit]

Hi Khaatir, thanks for your copy-edit (c/e) requests at the Guild of Copy Editors' (GOCE) Requests page. Unfortunately, I've removed your c/e request for Muhammadullah Khalili Qasmi here. I've done this because the Requests page currently has a limit of two requests from a single editor at any one time. We enforce this limit to ensure everyone's c/e requests can be processed in a reasonable time. If you'd like the removed request to be dealt with before one of your other requests, please feel free to replace either of them with Muhammadullah Khalili Qasmi; otherwise, please wait until one of your other requests have been processed before adding another c/e request to the page. While you are welcome to translate Wikipedia content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing requires that you provide attribution to the contributor(s) of the original article. When translating from a foreign-language Wikipedia article, this is supplied at a minimum in an edit summary on the page where you add translated content, identifying it as a translation and linking it to the source page. For example: Content in this edit is translated from the existing French Wikipedia article at [[:fr:Exact name of French article]]; see its history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if translation is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{translated page}} template on the talk pages of the destination article. If you have added translated content previously which was not attributed at the time it was added, please add attribution retrospectively for that also, even if it was a long time ago. @Clearfrienda Thanks! To clarify it! I created a page on Urdu Wikipedia related to Muhammad Jabir Qasmi and translated it into English. Well! I still put the template on the talk page. Khaatir (talk) 19:04, 25 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Khaatir, I understand this was a good intention. I suggest that you leave me finish the copyediting. What you changed is eight but doesn't encourage readability. Thanks. Safari ScribeEdits! Talk! 21:42, 27 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@SafariScribe Sorry! I didn't get the meaning of this sentence: "who had served as the Chancellor of Darul Uloom Nadwatul Ulama since 2023," so I changed it. Well! Feel free to complete your own copyediting! One question to consider is whether the preceding term applies to someone who is working in a position. Khaatir (talk) 01:20, 28 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The paragraph is mostly correct but can be improved for clarity and readability. Here is a revised version:

"Bilal Abdul Hai Hasani Nadwi (born October 3, 1969) is an Indian Islamic scholar, da'i, Hadith lecturer, and author who has served as the Chancellor of Darul Uloom Nadwatul Ulama since 2023."

Changes made: 1. Added a comma after "lecturer" for consistency in the list. 2. Changed "had served" to "has served" to maintain the present perfect tense, indicating that he is currently serving in this role. Khaatir (talk) 01:34, 28 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@SafariScribe thanks for the good work on the article. I just came across this and made some changes. There were some unintentional misinterpretation from your side which I have tried to address. Likely tomorrow or a day later, I will try to remove extraneous reduntant citation per WP:OVERKILL, as these very badly impact the readability. ─ Aafī (talk) 19:07, 28 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
