MLS Cup 1999 was the fourth edition of the MLS Cup, the championship match of Major League Soccer (MLS), the top-level soccer league of the United States. It took place on November 21, 1999, at Foxboro Stadium (pictured) in Foxborough, Massachusetts, and was contested by D.C. United and the Los Angeles Galaxy in a rematch of the inaugural 1996 final played at the same venue. Both teams finished atop their respective conferences during the regular season under new head coaches and advanced through the first two rounds of the playoffs. D.C. United won 2–0 with first-half goals from Jaime Moreno and Ben Olsen for their third MLS Cup victory in four years; Olsen was named the most valuable player of the match for his winning goal. The final was played in front of 44,910 spectators and drew 1.16 million viewers on its ABC television broadcast. It was also the first MLS match to be played with a standard game clock and without a tiebreaker shootout. (Full article...)

Data and information Sec merge Not agreeWell, first of all it is the first time i use this feature, so if i have created a new subject uselessly i do apologize. data is anything not porcessed, i mean, speaking in the enterprise software world data would be the brut the prime matter EX. a table with the data of calls made relating them with the phone number that made it and the time it lasted. Information is the data procesed, EX. a report indicating all the calls made from an area that lasts more than x minutes. directly out of the data base but with at least one critery. theres is something else, Knoledge, and Knoledge is a grou of information heavyly procesed for a specific objective. therefore, you should encript data but there is no point in encrypting inforamtion, however you do have other security measures for information. that the reason i dont agree in merging the contents. please feel free to contact me ironwill982@hotmail.com —Preceding unsigned comment added by 148.87.1.171 (talk) 21:04, 26 August 2008 (UTC) Request to participate in University of Washington survey on tool to quickly understand Wikipedians’ reputationsHello. I'm part of a research group at the University of Washington. In April, we met with some local Wikipedians to learn what they would like to know about other editors’ history and activities (within Wikipedia) when interacting with them on talk pages. The goal of those sessions was to gather feedback to help design an embedded application that could quickly communicate useful information about other Wikipedians. We have now created a few images that we feel represent some of what our participants thought was important. We would appreciate it if you took a few minutes of your time to complete an online survey that investigates whether or not these images would be useful to you. Your quick contribution would be very valuable to our research group and ultimately to Wikipedia. (When finished, the code for this application will be given over to the Wikipedia community to use and/or adjust as they see fit.) Willing to spend a few minutes taking our survey? Click this link. Please feel free to share the link with other Wikipedians. The more feedback, the better! The survey is completely anonymous and takes less than 10 minutes to complete. All data is used for university research purposes only. Thank you for your time! If you have any questions about our research or research group, please visit our user page.
