Light weight
[edit]I saw you just nominated the NWA World Light Heavyweight Championship at FLC. Thought it was interesting, considering the NWA also has the NWA World Junior Heavyweight Championship. I'm not sure if there is any big connection to the two, but I'm trying to expand it to FLC. So if you have any information, would you mind passing it along, like weight limit sources? Those are usually hard to come by. I'll be sure to do the same during my expansion. It isn't very far though. Good luck with the FLC, if I find time I'll see if I can give a review.--WillC 08:31, 14 February 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks for all that information. Also the book info should be very useful once I start expansion on the article. I'll be sure to return and get that once I begin work on the prose. Nice, for one man you work pretty hard on the Mexican wrestling scene. Good job and good luck! You got my support, I'll set time aside to review each one for you.--WillC 04:44, 18 February 2010 (UTC)
Naoki Sano
[edit]If you have some time, could you look up Naoki Sano in the Wrestling Title Histories book? Google Books indicates he is listed in it, and the article needs some additional sources because it is currently at AfD. Much appreciated, Nikki♥311 04:56, 16 February 2010 (UTC)

BLP sticky PROD
[edit]Hi MPJ-DK/Archive 4!. Every attempt to rescue a Wikipedia article is a noble gesture. However, there may be occasions when, with the best will in the world, it is just not possible to accord even a minimum of notability to an article or stub, or find a proper source for it. Most regrettably, even the most dedicated inclusionists will have to concede that the article may have to go if the creator or major contributors cannot justify their work.
For new and recent unsourced BLPs, some users are now working at WT:BLP PROD TPL on the development of templates that are designed to encourage contributors to source new BLPs, without scaring away the newbies who might not be aware of the rules. This template is certainly not another a licence to kill for the deletionists, in fact the very idea of it is to ensure that you are not fighting a losing battle. It would be great if you could look in at the prgogress and maybe leave a word of encouragement. The workshop page is essentially a template development taskforce, and is not a place to engage in a hefty debate on incusion/deletion policy. See you at WT:BLP PROD TPL?--Kudpung (talk) 12:56, 7 March 2010 (UTC)

Super Parka
[edit]Thank you for your comment in the edit history at Super Parka. How many times have you had to work round this, I wonder? I've changed the list at Wikipedia:AutoWikiBrowser/Typos so that this won't happen again. The spelling rule for the "Emm-" prefix now knows that "enmáscarado" will sometimes begin with a lowercase "e", and will be left alone in that case too. I'll be editing Super Parka again in a moment to add the missing "s" to the first occurrence of the term. John of Reading (talk) 18:27, 27 March 2010 (UTC)

WT:PW comments
[edit]I was upset by your comments about me during the move discussion #26. I feel that I am entitled to voice my opinion, just as any other editor should be. I don't see that massive move discussions do anything toward the betterment of articles. For starters, the moves shouldn't even be proposed on a project page. They should be on the article talk page so that they are open to all editors, not just people who read the talk page for a specific project. Ultimately, though, that's unimportant. I think the focus on moving articles is incredibly unimportant, and I said so. I always expect that people will disagree with me, and I respect that. Speaking of respect, I'm replying on your talk page because you are one of the few editors on Wikipedia that I actually respect. I appreciate that, for the most part, you try to avoid the drama, which is why it really bothered me that you felt the need to single me out on the project's talk page. For a comment like that, you are always welcome to contact me directly so that we can discuss an issue.
In the discussion at hand, the project has always opposed moving articles to titles held by disambiguation pages. I was going with precedent. Other editors have provided better arguments, and I would be more than happy to change my opinion if the comments had remained civil. That's what discussion is all about, and why I don't like people closing discussions before they have reached a conclusion. Anyhow, like I said, I can count the number of editors that I respect on one hand. I'm hoping that you and I can agree to disagree on this issue and move forward from here. At this point, I probably won't ever write another article again, but I've been sticking around to patrol some of the articles that I've worked on for vandalism. Even that, though, is losing appeal for me. Right now, Nelson Frazier, Jr. has been vandalized, and for the first time, I just don't care. If I decide to touch up a couple of the articles that I've worked on, though, I would really appreciate your help finding a few references. Take care, GaryColemanFan (talk) 00:14, 21 April 2010 (UTC)

Help request for Cormier wrestling family
[edit]Hi, I was wondering if you could help me out with some page numbers from the Wrestling Title Histories book again. I would like to get this article to GA status to complete a Good Topic (the four brothers' articles are all at GA already). Most of the titles are minor Canadian championships: Eastern Sports Association International Tag Team Title, (ESA) Maritimes Tag Team Title, (ESA) North American Heavyweight Title, ESA Taped-Fist Title. They also won the British Empire/Commonwealth Heavyweight Title in New Zealand (Leo Burke won it in 1979) [1], the WWC (Puerto Rico) World Heavyweight/Universal Heavyweight Title, and the NWA Heart of America/Central States Heavyweight Title History (Terry Martin won it in December 1974). If you could help out with these, I would really appreciate it. If you're too busy, though, please don't worry about it. Thanks, GaryColemanFan (talk) 05:05, 10 May 2010 (UTC)

Opinion on AFD discussion
[edit]Hello. I hope this doesn't sound like an unusual request but I would like to ask if you'd be interested in offering an opinion on this discussion? I objected to a recent prod for several lists of wrestling promotions. While I provided what I believe to be reliable sources per WP:RS, the nominator objects to all of the promotions that do not currently exist on WP. From your userpage, you seem to be very knowlegable in lucha libre and thought you might want to take a look at the promotions in question, such as Promo Azteca, which from the sources I provided seems to be a very notable promotion. I certainly wouldn't want this to be interpreted as influensing the AFD and I'd of course abide by your opinion if you sided with the nominator. Thanks for your time. 71.184.44.253 (talk) 11:32, 10 June 2010 (UTC)
- I appreciate the assistance sir. I'm not entirely sure why Justa Punk has taken this attitude towards me. It seems to have started when I objected to his proding of List of independent wrestling promotions in the United States and the subsequent message left on the talk page. There have been additional entries since the list has been created, and while I don't know if these are notable or not, I was willing to pitch in and clean up the article. I have tried my best to engage him in a civil discussion but it's been difficult when almost every reply has included, in my view, a hostile or accusatory tone. As he has brought it up on the discussion page, would you perhaps be willing to look over the list of US independent promotions?
- My argument is essentially the same as that of the Mexican list. There are presently 75 independent promotions on that list that have Wikipedia articles. Justa Punk has, like the Mexico list, claimed none of the un-linked promotions are notable. I believe I have demonstated that several of them were notable and that, even if the vast majority of promotions failed WP:N, there was still enough to meet WP:LIST criteria as a stand-alone list. Unlike the Mexico list, I haven't added additional sources. This is because there are currently 200+ cited references at this time (the original list contained 190+) and if I added even one additional reference to each entry it would bring the total to 400. In my opinion, this might be a little excessive especially taking into account the length of the page. Secondly, Justa Punk has not specified exactly which sources he objects to. This was one of the reasons I left a message on the talk page in the first place. Do you have any suggestions on how I should proceed? Should I simply go ahead add more sources anyway? 71.184.40.33 (talk) 04:27, 11 June 2010 (UTC)
- Also, could you suggest someone from your wikiproject that would be knowlegeable on US indepedent promotions? I've browsed the members list but there's nothing that shows a particular member's interest. Out of curiosity, I'm interested in WP:MISSING and in regards to these lists do you think it would be benificial to have a missing topics list for the project? I would gather that this would provide a clear and established idea of existing notable promotions (and to exclude non-notable ones) be it in the US, Mexico, Japan, etc. In referencing some of the other lists, I also found that there are a good number of wrestling topics in foreign language Wikipedias that are not covered on this one. If there is no list yet maybe the project could provide one for Wikipedia:Translation? I'm certain, for example, that there must be notable lucha libre topics on the Spanish Wikipeida. 71.184.42.165 (talk) 06:48, 12 June 2010 (UTC)

The article CMLL Super Viernes (August 2010) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Fails on WP:SPECULATION
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Kudpung (talk) 11:01, 22 July 2010 (UTC)

Kensuke Sasaki
[edit]In an effort to avoid an unnecessary revert war, I am writing to ask that you re-read the section on the death of a trainee, Hiromitsu Gompei. If you do so, you will see that Scott Norton and Bam Bam Bigelow are cited as confirming the incident -- i.e. that the death took place -- and, perhaps, that Kensuke Sasaki was responsible. But you will also note that those names only appear in the final sentence and that the article does not state that either Norton or Bigelow confirmed that "Sasaki feels no remorse over the incident." As the article is now written, Norton and Bigelow confirmed that it happened but did not confirm Sasaki's purported lack of remorse. The mere presence of two proper names in a paragraph does not necessarily imply identity with unnamed sources that appear earlier in that paragraph.
Not to be an ass but consider this parallel example: "Several sources said that the driver was a white male in his thirties. Billy and Tommy said the car was red." Because the actual sentence regarding the statements of Billy and Tommy are limited to the color of the car, we can not logically presume that Billy and Tommy were the persons who said the driver was a white guy.
If Scott Norton and Bam Bam Bigelow stated that Sasaki has no regrets about the incident, please replace the phrase "several sources" with their names. If they merely confirmed that the incident took place, please stop taking the "who" tag out until one or more persons are identified as the heretofore unnamed "sources". Masked wrestlers
[edit]Hiya, sorry about that, that does seem like a better description of the category.
However if it is the accepted criteria the list will need seriously editing down as there are quite a few names on there that no longer wear masks (Amazing Red, Daniel Bryan, Paul Burchall off the top of my head) and some who have only worn masks once or twice in their whole career (the Miz, CM Punk). [edit]Thanks for uploading File:FantasticaMania.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 04:12, 17 January 2013 (UTC)
Tournaments
[edit]Hi. One question. Do we list the last tournament winners? I think that we delete from the rosters in 4 or 5 months. In WWE, we don't list Sheamus as the King of the Ring, Hardy as the Bound for Glory Series Winner, Karl Anderson as the NJPW World Tag League 2012 or Okada as the G1 Climax 2012 winnwe.--HHH Pedrigree (talk) 21:26, 2 February 2013 (UTC)

[edit]Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia. We always appreciate when users upload new images. However, it appears that one or more of the images you have recently uploaded or added to an article may fail our non-free image policy. Most often, this involves editors uploading or using a copyrighted image of a living person. For other possible reasons, please read up on our Non-free image criteria. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Werieth (talk) 01:51, 9 March 2013 (UTC)

Tomahawk T.T.
[edit]Just a heads up. I've nominated the Tomahawk T.T. and Tomahawk (wrestler) redirects for deletion, since he's not Naoki Tanizaki. I understand the confusion if you're not following Dragon Gate's silliness.Ribbon Salminen (talk) 22:10, 12 March 2013 (UTC)
WPPW
[edit]Ask you in the talk page. I'm tired. I only use the common criteria of the wikiproject to the articles. Since 2008 [2], the wikiproject puts only champions images in the rosters. It isn't a new decision, the decision was taken 5 years ago. If you want answers, ask the wikiproject, not me. Here is about the tag team and stables in roster's page [3] If you want to know more, ask in the talk page, I'm not the Guardian of the Wikiproject, I'm only doing my job. No bad feelins, but I'm tired about contribute to wikipedia according to the decision of the WPPW and the next day, give explications about a common decision. --HHH Pedrigree (talk) 14:49, 18 March 2013 (UTC)
