Contemporary climate change involves rising global temperatures and significant shifts in Earth's weather patterns. Climate change is driven by emissions of heat-trapping greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide and methane. Emissions come mostly from burning fossil fuels (coal, oil and natural gas), and also from agriculture, forest loss, cement production and steel making. Climate change causes sea level rise, glacial retreat and desertification, and intensifies heat waves, wildfires and tropical cyclones. These effects of climate change endanger food security, freshwater access and global health. Climate change can be limited by using low-carbon energy sources such as wind and solar energy, by forestation, and shifts in agriculture. Adaptations such as coastline protection cannot by themselves avert the risk of severe, pervasive and irreversible impacts. Limiting global warming in line with the goals of the 2015 Paris Agreement requires reaching net-zero emissions by 2050. This animation, produced by NASA's Scientific Visualization Studio with data from the Goddard Institute for Space Studies, shows global surface temperature anomalies from 1880 to 2023 on a world map, illustrating the rise in global temperatures. Normal temperatures (calculated over the 30-year baseline period 1951–1980) are shown in white, higher-than-normal temperatures in red, and lower-than-normal temperatures in blue. The data are averaged over a running 24-month window.Video credit: NASA; visualized by Mark SubbaRao

The Original Barnstar
This Barnstar is for the help you've given in the maintenance and progression of the various articles in the Kingdom Hearts Featured Topic. Thanks for the advice and feedback on the articles over the past half year. I really had little idea what to do with articles when starting on the first KH game article. Now the topic is 9 articles with 4 FA, 1 FL, and one more on the way to FA. Your help is remembered and appreciated. (Guyinblack25 talk 23:07, 6 November 2007 (UTC))

because I wasn't bold enough to re-re-renominate Metroid Prime for the FA, and not only you did it, but fixed most FAC requests, helping to promote the article. igordebraga

The Technical Barnstar

The Square Enix Barnstar
Over the last few weeks, you've done an immense amount of work, bringing dozens of articles that have languished for years with few sources and little content up to a coherent, C-class standard, and in doing so set a new bar for minimum quality for any WPSE article. It's transforming the project from not just one with a ton of GA+ articles, but one where even the obscure subjects have a solid article about them. Amazing work! --PresN 14:09, 28 May 2020 (UTC)
The Quarter Million Award
For your contributions to bring Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue (estimated annual readership: 340,000) to Good Article status, I hereby present you the Quarter Million Award. Congratulations on this rare accomplishment, and thanks for all you do for Wikipedia's readers! Reidgreg (talk) 14:08, 6 June 2020 (UTC)
The Square Enix Barnstar
I literally just gave you one of these a few weeks ago, but I feel more than one is warranted. 3 months ago, I would have said that the Square Enix Wikiproject was, once again, pretty much dead. Nothing nominated in over 6 months, no one working on articles at all, dust gathering on the talk page. Today, largely due to you, over 70 articles have been improved from Start-class or merged, a dozen C-class articles have been improved to Bs, every cleanup tag in the 450+ articles has been cleared, and an entire mini-project around getting over half of our articles to GA+ has begun, with enough active participation and nominations already that it seems a sure thing within another month. It's been an incredible turn-around, and it's pretty much entirely due to you. Way to go! --PresN 02:40, 8 June 2020 (UTC)
