NPOV
[edit]- Another example of cherry picking between what is due and undue. My quote from Staal in the discussion [Arbitrary break #2] -
to which Joshua Jonathan respondedAccording to Staal this tradition “is far the more remarkable, not merely because it is characteristically Indian and unlike anything we find elsewhere, but also because it has led to scientific discoveries that are of enduring interest”.
it's simply too long to read comfortably, and undue compared with the condensed info presented inthe rest of this paragraph
and reduced the size of the quote. However, in the discussion [conclusion on the meaning of the mantras], quote from Staal
is not allowed to be moved to notes because of Joshua Jonathan's viewthey are disengaged from their original context and are employed in ways that have little or nothing to do with their meaning.
Staal is an influential scholar, his point of view is relevant.
.
- Diluting the meaning of a text introduced
- Disruptive removal of text from the origin authors without an iota of mention in the talk page although the Indian authors are the origin text referred for translation by the western authors on Rigveda page. Authors themselves have mentioned the source of translation clearly.
Talk:Rigveda#Removal of Madhvacharya and Sayanacharya in Commentary/Translation Table
- Disruptive removal of text without consensus in talk page for a text from the First President of India Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan on Hinduism page [diff]. Wikipedia rules do not permit removal of any text on the basis of a point of view. Further completely changing the text into a different view point from the same author when challenged on talk page

Administrator conduct Policy shortcut
WP:ADMINCOND https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Administrators Administrators should lead by example and, like all editors, should behave in a respectful, civil manner in their interactions with others. Administrators should follow Wikipedia policies and perform their duties to the best of their abilities. Occasional mistakes are entirely compatible with adminship; administrators are not expected to be perfect. However, sustained or serious disruption of Wikipedia through behavior such as incivility or bad faith editing is incompatible with the expectations and responsibilities of administrators, and consistent or egregious poor judgment may result in the removal of administrator tools. Administrators should strive to model appropriate standards of courtesy and civility to other editors.[4]
Administrators should bear in mind that they have hundreds of colleagues. Therefore, if an administrator finds that they cannot adhere to site policies and remain civil (even toward users exhibiting problematic behavior) while addressing a given issue, then the administrator should bring the issue to a noticeboard or refer it to another administrator to address, rather than potentially compound the problem with poor conduct.
